Noticed both Vale and Portsmouth (among many other teams in this league) have fallen into that whole thing now on goal kicks of getting two people back in the area and wanting to play it short. At some point some of these teams need to remember they are third division clubs not City or Barca.

Charlton did this today as well, don’t get it…especially when they just thumped it long after the initial short kick.

Agreed with Lowery coming on being the turning point. Could see the pendulum swing towards Portsmouth straight away. Plenty of things both teams can take positive and that need work.

Although Pompey weren't great today, there is a nucleus of a decent team there. Their defence needs some real attention, it looked softer than ours! I don't think they'll need too much next season, particularly if teams like Wednesday, Ipswich and Bolton/Derby get promoted.

Today was another microcosm of our season. We look like we can compete with any team, often have periods in games where we dominate, but we're not ruthless enough in finishing chances (we could have scored a couple more first half) and we have a real soft underbelly and concede the softest goals. You could put your mortgage on Pompey getting back to 2-2 once they had pulled one back. I actually think we require significantly more work than Pompey if we want to trouble the top 10.

Aye there’s a fair few others too. MK were doing it against us and unsurprisingly played themselves into trouble. I get its to try and trigger a press from the opposition and play through it but at this level let’s be honest there ain’t many cultured centre backs at this level and it’s just not going to end well.

I'm guessing some Prem club will probably poach Miles Leaburn off Charlton in the summer. Impressive first season.

Yep, I fear you’re probably right.

Just the 55 points and 80 goal difference seperating us and Wednesday. We'll clearly piss it.

Doohan back in goal and no proper striker. Tremendous.

FGR will go a couple down before HT - however this week, Dale Vince will secretly register himself as a player, and be presented to the home crowd at half time after a bunch of adverts for Vince's company Ecotricity.

Wearing a Popeye hat, Vince will then burst onto the pitch, make a big show of scoffing a bunch of spinach to symbolically FILL himself with GREEN STRENGTH, and since SWFC don't really need the points, Darren Moore (having received a chunky payoff) will instruct his otherwise iron defence to let Vince bag a hat-trick, winning the game for his side.

The full-time whistle will blow, FGR will hoist a massive banner onto the pitch with a huge portrait of Vince with the legend, "THE POWER OF GREEN ENERGY", and FGR bask in the glow of a famous win on live TV. Get your bets in now.

patience patience...

A 6ft 5, 19yr old, probably hitting double figures in his first full season... Could be another Bellingham/ Dortmund situation.

Hopefully you get good money if it happens.

Some top academies in London.

You’ve been pretty well organised so far but as we found during January when you have no recognised forward the ball doesn’t stick up top.

Tbf if we’d started with our only recognised striker it wouldn’t be sticking either

We have sorted things out at the back, a bit, very belatedly. Up front? Not so much

Bloody hell.

Wednesday look well off the pace, but fully expect them to click.

Very good half from FGR albeit helped by Wednesdays performance being dogshit to be honest.

This does have the feel of them making a number of changes and then running away with it late on however.

And to think FGR haven’t even needed to bring on Dale Vince up front yet. In the bag.

God, Wednesday have been so poor today. Credit to FGR, 11 men behind the ball and making it difficult to play through. Have Wednesday looked like scoring?

Good going FGR, nice to see their fans on here finally have something to enjoy this season. Deserved that win too. Wednesday pushed them back second half but never looked like scoring.

These results will happen during the run in. It will probably happen to Ipswich and Plymouth too at some point.
