State of our line up!

KTF
Playing a 3-5-2 with one recognised centre back who has barely played all season. Illnesses to three centre backs.

I’ll be amazed if we come out of this without a defeat.

Peterborough have put there reserve team out so it's no surprise to me that Cheltenham are winning easily.

Agreed, we look incredibly nervous especially at the back which is understandable with the injuries.

Can't deny we've lucked out here with the Boro lineup, they've largely looked a complete mess. Better towards the end of the half though as we've sat back.

That Posh keeper made a bunch of howlers against us trying to play it out from the back, looked like a complete flapper who couldn’t cope with a high press.

It means now we have to win at fleetwood as a draw won’t do if Cheltenham win.
Not sure if we can do that but we will see.

How are Cheltenham not winning by more? All its going to take is a Peterborough goal and its going to get very nervous

Insane start to the half. Quite literally should have scored 3 or 4 since half time. No doubt posh will score next

With me having slagged off the Posh keeper for being shite, the Beeb claims he’s pulled off a couple of blinder saves in the past few mins…

…and I forgot you had Lyle Taylor up front, who was a flop for us earlier this season on a short-term deal (not his fault, we were expecting him to be Sam Vokes which he never has been).

By reputation though, he sounds like enough of a stroppy dick to want to play out of his skin against us and prove a point - so I would be utterly unsurprised if he scores tonight.

Don’t think Lyle Taylor’s got the hang of this ex-player curse thing, he concedes a pen and we convert to make it 1-1. :ohm:

Tasty last day now… Cambridge safe by virtue of having us mind. Sure they’ll get the point they need. Burton still big favourites but anything could happen.

For weeks I've kept getting told that we are safe on here. We never have been.

Just when we seemed to find a gem to star to replace our injured captain in defence, he gets assaulted by the thug that is Chris Martin. Final week and 3 other key components of that defence are now ill.

We are properly in this.

Last year we were the ones that were more likely to go down and survive, this time the roles have been reversed. But we don't have Harrison Dunk and Sam Smith to save us now.

On a single game week, anything can happen. We are both down here for a reason, I doubt either team will have to do much to score on Saturday

A lot of things have to go wrong for you to be relegated. I think you're underestimating how dreadful we are. You'll easily beat us and wonder what all the fuss was about.

It’s easy to think the worst, and that’s natural.

We had five centre backs out injured or ill - Morrison, R Bennett, Jobe, Ibsen Rossi and Andrew. That’s pretty unprecedented for any club this season, let alone one with a lot still to play for.

We got fucked over by Chris Martin but we’ve had 44 other games to get ourselves out of this. That won’t be the reason we go down.

We need a point against an already relegated side to stay up. It’s in our hands and if we ultimately go down then it’s our own players’ faults. But we should stay up from here - aside from it being an away game, we couldn’t ask for a much better fixture. And even if we lose, Cheltenham would have to win and probably Burton too to send us down. It’s possible of course but we shouldn’t expect it to happen in my opinion.

You watch us completely fuck it up on Saturday now…..

I see that Lyle Taylor is taking most of the flak on your forum, I guess that’s one contract that won’t be renewed regardless of the outcome of Saturday.

3 goals since Jan for you isn’t a terrible return, but not sure it justifies the baggage.

I thought he’d kick on a bit more since we basically got him fit for you, and he did have a good record at the level for Charlton.

The penalty tonight was so frustrating. We were crap going forward and understandably shaky at the back for the first half hour or so, and we rode our luck. But we got ourselves ahead with 15 mins to go, then he gives away a stupid penalty. Our makeshift defence had done heroically all night and then he fucked it up and cost us safety. It’s hard to like him.

He has form for us too - he got a stupid red card against Bolton for lumping one of their defenders. He’s a total bell end and I would be very angry if he plays any part of our game at Port Vale on Saturday or any game for us ever again.

That's my point, so far a lot of things are going wrong for us.

Yes it's in our hands, but our hands have proved to be a trembling mess so far this season.

He was decent for about half a month, and then now he seems to make one shite decision to the next.

Missing the derby because he pointlessly lashed out at the end of a game and getting sent off, and then stuff like yesterday hasn't helped.

A few people say he downed tools as soon as Harris left, as his dip in form coincides with that.

Good job a match is (roughly) 90mins as Peterborough were bossing the latter of the 2nd half and pretty sure if they did score we would have fallen apart.

Assaulted yet manages to play almost an hour afterwards. Not excusing Martin as obviously he is a twat for doing it but your medical team let him play on with a concussion

Just a bit. Reckon your boys will be motivated to drag Burton down with you? Charlie Adam strikes me as the type who'd want to do just that. Or is that wishful thinking :dk:

He will have Fleetwood fired up and they will want to end the season with a home win. Good luck at Stevenage on Saturday :).

At least all the clubs in danger are away. Nothing worse than being relegated at home
