Not too much going on in our game. Both teams will fancy they can nick it

We battered Portsmouth in the first half on Saturday and failed to score. Went on to lose.

Battered Morecambe tonight first half before they equalised in injury time. The odds of us going on to lose?

Fucking shit season.

Yeah pretty un eventful first half. Cheltenham have had a few more attacks, I would say we have looked most dangerous from a few set pieces.

40 shots in two games yielding one goal. That’s why we’re going down. Should have got six points these last few days, got just one. Bollocks season.

Well that was uneventful. Never felt like we would concede, looked light weight up front. 0-0 the right scoreline! Cheltenhams only effort forcing a save after 75 minutes, House had an effort he should have done better, Bishop hit the bar. Great to see Virtue back.

Got to hang on here against Derby. What a turnaround in the second half.

Yep, very dull overall. We at least move above Oxford and a point nearer to safety.

Probably a forlorn task now but think Cambridge pretty much in must win territory at MK.

Normally I try and avoid sticking draws down on an acca but with Lincoln it really is worth making an exception.

It’s the same old same old though laker, fucking bored of saying it and seeing the exact same thing wk after wk, mor com be were wank, as were Pompey and not for the first time we’ve got very little so show it.

We’ve had some glaring gaps in the squad this season that I just struggle to see the bonner/strang combination coming out with any credit and why they can’t see what’s needed when to me it’s obvious!

I’m off to sink a couple of wee ones before the scratcher.

I am intrigued, but can't be arsed to look. Whats the record for most draws in a 46 league season?

Plymouth have been class this season but that’s the clearest dive you’ll see. Saturday is massive for the auto race

Scoring for fun. 12 goals in the last 4 with none conceded.

All we can do is keep winning.

23 by Exeter, Hartlepool and Cardiff.

5 more to equal it!

A vital win for us to keep up with the playoff spots, and Derby losing is handy too.

Caught last half hour of Argyle. Shocking decision for the penalty that!

They keep on winning at home though, bonkers that they’ve dropped 5 points at home all season (more so 3 of those to us!).

Derby just seem a slight level below the big hitters in the league and maybe will take another season to get gelled and push on.

Relegation battle hasn’t really changed, Cambridge probably needed a win there being at home. Morecambe seem to churn out draws or narrow wins despite often being outplayed.

Accrington losing was expected, from our point of view happy to keep a 10 point gap to the bottom 4 and 13 to the bottom 3 with all the bottom 4 caught up on games now.

Barnsley keep ploughing on, wasn’t impressed at all by them at VP but seem to be scoring for fun at the moment.

Wycombe and Posh could still have a day in the play off race and all of a sudden Bolton look less secure having somehow played more games than anyone else (they played a game from the papa final weekend to be on 36?)

Strangely no, their game v Plymouth scheduled for 25th March was moved to Jan as both were out of the cup

Well, we were shit really. Barnsley showing us the level needed to stay in the promotion race over a long season and we're not there yet. Our away form really has been poor this season.

Our away form which has stood us in good stead has now gone pear shaped as we lose a 2nd successive match and fail to score again. Our previous shite home form has picked up in the last few games and hope this continues going forward. We still need more points on the board !

In terms of safety I would say anyone from Charlton upwards if they didn't pick up another point this season would probably still stay up given the way the teams at the bottom are going.

Have you made many changes in the last couple of games as probably been a bit hectic as well as putting a lot in against Burnley? At least regardless of the result Saturday will be a happier occasion than our last league fixture at Fleetwood when we went down to L2.

Yes. We looked OK at the start and Mousinho wants to play the right way, which is encouraging. However, we've let in really bad goals all season and Barnsley's first was shocking defending. Morrell clearly didn't see their player who was standing behind the ref and turned the ball over in a dangerous position. The real culprit though was Raggett who somehow failed to spot Norwood strolling through the middle to score easily.

It was an astounding level of defensive unawareness and really puts the final nail in the coffin of Raggett's career with us in my opinion. Mousinho knows the central defender position and I'll be amazed if he's a first-teamer next season.

Barnsley's second was a corker. We looked to have rallied with a typical Bishop finish but the third ended it as a contest.

So that's us definitely done for the season. I think we have the nucleus of a decent team. I'd like to see GK Macey signed permanently if possible. Three quarters of the defence is decent. The midfield doesn't need much work as long as we have better luck with injuries. Bishop is a quality central striker but we definitely need to add speed up front. There's talk of a squad overhaul as usual, but hopefully we don't touch the bits that are working.

That's a fair comment mate I do accept that the Burnley game took a lot out of the players. Onto this weekend and looking forward to it. I have to say your team have done well in their 'first season'
and nicely consolidated their position
Unfortunately it is true the bottom teams are really struggling which somewhat takes the pressure of the likes of ourselves. Still be a lot happier with another 9/10 points

Another game down and another three points at home. First half we struggled with Derbys high press but second half we proved why we are one of the top sides in the division. Pen was slightly dubious but we will certainly take it.

Pressure is completely off on Saturday against Barnsley now but after a confidence busting week it sure would be nice to get something up there.

I think that's the difference in this league amongst the top teams. Their shooting and putting away chances is much more deadly. I thought Barnsley were toss when they played us but yet came away winning 3-1, with 2 of the goals from outside the box! It's not the first time that has happened this season either. The quality of shooting, particularly from distance, is a cut above as evidenced by the number of goals we've conceded from what you might consider speculative shots.

Two teams that completely cancelled each other out last night. Our defence looked more solid than recently and we tried to get something going in the first half, but we were completely devoid of any attacking threat in the second.

I think the difference between ourselves and Lincoln this season is that they've held on for draws where we've lost by the odd goal.

As CTFCfan99 says though, another team between us and the relegation zone, and a point/game closer to safety.

Luongo and Broadhead make us a completely different team now - they're both class. Hoping we can continue this great form, but Bolton will be a massive test. I'm never confident when we play them at their ground.

18 draws in 34 league games!

7 clean sheets in 10 now, just don't score enough (or create a massive amount either).

I definitely think number of draws should count in your favour if the Mid-Table Trophy ends in a tie, this is excellent commitment to mediocrity.

Massive result for us last night. Schuey's super subs changed the game again and I thought we deserved it on the second half performance.

My inkling is that Derby will be playing in this league again next season, don't fancy them to win the playoffs going by what I've seen.
