Vale fans will be disappointed not to have got all 3 points as they were far the better team. Dominant all over the pitch and yet Fleetwood could have won it in the last 15 minutes. A welcome point for Fleetwood in an overall lacklustre performance

Will take that any day of the week. Just wish Rushworth decided to play LWB for the entire game, rather than just the 20 seconds of madness.

Gary Woods couldn’t catch a cold, so was a sigh of relief to see Blackman on at half time.

Wouldn’t say the 3rd was a mistake, more just Nombe using his strength, sending their RB into next week.

Thought the referee was decent today, Hartridge deserved to be sent off. Has had a made couple of games so let’s see if having next week off helps him slightly.

Side note, Paudie O’Connor is a whiny bastard isn’t he? Complained and whinged about everything. Even when things were going his way. Even tried to push a ball boy

Alfie May for Ballon D'Or
The boy is special - arguably our greatest ever player. And I'm not using hyperbole there.

His first goal was pure opportunism, quality, skill, amazement all in one. His second was the strike of someone who's just bang in form. I think I preferred the second.

Full credit to Wade Elliott - 10 days a go I said on a pod that if he was sacked I wouldn't be disappointed, and I was on the more positive side of the conversation about him. A lot of our fans, myself included, will be eating their words after the last 3 games, especially today's.

It is a little but it’s something that we’ve failed to do all season when we have had the ascendancy in games failing to take advantage. Couple that with the inevitable lapse in concentration defensively and you get what we got today. Happens far too often to be a hard luck story.

Get to the summer and we need to focus on the keeper and a focal point up top, just so happens at least one of those will probably cost a lot of money. All the best to Fleetwood anyway and we’ll see each other next season.

No complaints today with final score, however just disappointed the way we threw it away going 1-0 up. Their keeper should have caught the corner, easy goal for O'Connor. We were then in control, and frustraing the home side. Just before our equaliser, I was thinking how organised we are and how we much we frustrate the opposition, to go and give away the horrible equaliser. Exeter only side looking for a 2nd. We were poor 2nd half.

We have done well to go 10 unbeaten, it had to end sometime! Always feel we never do well at Exeter.

Doesn’t help that Wilson is injured again! He only managed 10 minutes last week!

Sadly he will go down as a legend for his goals last season and being a local boy but for his ridiculous talent he is made of spaghetti muscles and we can’t afford to carry on with that situation into next season.

Sign Taylor permanent and find another striker using Wilson and Proctors combined wage.

Unfortunately when you have the sort of natural ability he has the only reason he would be with us (or most at this level for that matter) is either he’s injury prone or he’s been turfed out of a number of clubs due to a bad attitude. Obviously in his case it’s very much the former not the latter. He’ll likely move on in the summer.

I think Taylor is on a very significant sum at Oxford albeit will be out of contract so I can’t see it being a permanent move to be honest. I like him as a player but at his age I’d be wary of shelling out too much as it’s the age where he will start dropping off.

Good win and pleased for Caldwell. He got so much stick, but the last few games we seem to be much more settled and his game plans seem to be doing the trick.

Shame I missed it. Was on my way to the game but had to dash home for a family issue.

Story of the season mate been so often get the lead and then back off and don't kill the game off was bound to happen sooner or later
Too many Lincoln fans seem happy to be in league one and push on , if Shrewsbury can be up there in 8th I'm damn sure we could be if only we could be more attacking and braver going forward

One of the most pathetic things I’ve seen all season is two of our lads arguing over who was taking our pen at 3-1 down, to the point it actually delayed it being taken, and was subsequently missed. Embarrassing.

It's ridiculous really that we haven't won that at a canter. For the umpteenth time we were the better team throughout bar a 5 minute spell where we seemingly forget how to play.

As others have said, we have this hard luck story too many times. Again, we conceded from our first shot against on target in the 83rd minute. At one point we had 17 shots to their 2 and they had 0 shots at all in the first half. That should be 3-0 easily.

Our keeper is shite, our defence is soft as shite and we struggle to ever score more than 1. Apart from that we generally always look like the better team.

I think in the cold light of day if we stay up in the summer we will see it as a decent effort on par with expectation but it will at least be glaringly obvious the areas we need to address. If we can sort the keeper out, get a decent 6’2 aerial presence at the back and a more clinical edge we will be in for an even better one next season.

I imagine though we will probably sort one of two of the three out and aim to improve steadily.

Hopefully rattle off the win we need to stay up next weekend and the season can be effectively over.

I get the feeling Taylor is going to be permanent, he’s out of contract and can’t see why a) we’d sign him on loan and b) why Oxford would let him come.

May be the case that’s where Wilson’s wage will go mind!

Peart-Harris didnt look happy either on the full time whistle. Just walked off without shaking anyone's hand or anything.
Had family who went and they said FGR is an awful away day

I think it showed that you've had two long trips this week, there was definitely a tail off in the second half.
A good game but not quite the same edge as some of the games when we were battling it out in league two, like the playoff games, when your fans filled the away end.

They didn’t enjoy the away fan zone then?

That was pretty much the only positive.
Long queues for food, burnt burgers, small exit, no signs for park & Ride or how to get the bus back to the park & ride, 1 working turnstile.
Better than last year apparently and so was the result....but still not a good away day

We are limited in this location but I agree a lot of our matchday organisation is a shambles tbh mate, just treat it like an away day in the Conference. At least you can get a beer I suppose.

Hopefully our new CEO might sort some of the issues when they are appointed, but I doubt we’ll be back at this level unless the new stadium happens.

And what was the average league position of those 5 clubs?

Your next 5 fixtures reads

Bolton (A)
Shrewsbury (H)
Barnsley (A)
Derby (A)
Wycombe (H)

I anticipate that you will drop at least 5 points out of that lot infact I predict you will get 7 points in total.

2 W - Shrewsbury & Wycombe
2 L - Barnsley & Derby
1 D - Bolton

3 points today, 4 to go.

I'm calling it, we've got yas.

Oh so comfortable today. Penalty save was key - probably should have won by 3 or 4 after that. 6 clean sheets in a row is an all time club record.

On we go.

Consensus with the away fans today is that your gone - rightful champions.

Luongo is a fucking beast btw - Sat-Tues-Sat and arguably MOTM in all of them.

Little follow up, we bumped into Richard Keogh at the services on the way back tonight - I said somewhat tongue in cheek that away at Bolton in such a key game we were all expecting to do it the hard way and be put through the ringer, ie; classic Ipswich nerves. His response; "We're not not nervous buddy, we've got this". Stella may have played a part but I fucking loved that response.

I actually happen to think we will get 93 ish too.

6 games without conceding.
5 straight wins.
16 goals scored.

Finding someone to help Morsy out in midfield in Luongo has changed our season. I personally think we will finish 2nd.

Keep him fit he's the one of the best in the league.
Hadn’t seen this when I replied to Tuesdays response above.

When we had him about 8 years ago he stood out as being very inconsistent but on his day superb. But even back then he was injury prone.

I’d agree he’s been MOTM in all of the last 3 games and he and Morsy together is the best midfield pairing we’ve had in so many years.

Blimey even longer than I thought. He had a thing back then of being abit stroppy at times and you could tell he was young and raw but that the talent was there.

But the Luongo we have right now is seemingly the calmer, more composed version but with all the same vision for a pass and technical ability.

Hadn’t realised it was as strong as that from your lads asides from that draw with us.

I’m sticking with my pre season view that we both go up. Bolton or Barnsley for the playoffs.
