Except, the Tozer throw really isn't the be all and end all. You may think that because of how shit we were last night. We were truly shocking by the standards that the players have set in previous games. Let's get this right - we were shit, Bolton were shit, a draw looked likely, but full credit to Bolton for nicking it at the end - albeit our defending was truly appalling for the goal. Delaney had all the time and space in the World - the fact it only just about squirmed under our keeper signified the quality of the game (i.e. absolutely none at all).

As for Duff saying about Delaney wasting time, his point wasn't that he shouldn't use the towel, his point was that the towel had been there all night and none of your players had used it at any point. Then when it gets near to the end all of a sudden they start using it. The ball was no wetter in the 85th minute than it would have been in the 10th minute. Also, he wasn't criticising Bolton for time-wasting, he was pointing out a) how far we've come and b) how far Bolton have dropped when they're coming to a club like Cheltenham and time-wasting to gain a point in the hope to maybe nick one later.

I was wrong about it being one fan, but it definitely wasn't a couple of hundred. The capacity last night was 1,685. Tickets went on general sale last week once the new capacity was confirmed, with there only being 919 season ticket holders. I had no qualms with Bolton fans being in attendance, as long as they're not looking to cause trouble.
I think in all honesty every team including Bolton in this league are shit. The towel is nothing new Tranmere used to cheat with it years ago. No place for it on a football pitch.
I dont think many fans came down from Bolton but are perhaps Boltonions who live in the Cheltenham area.
Trouble would be the last thing on there minds, just good to get back for some.

I wouldn't call it cheating - it's available for both teams and is no different to rubbing it with the shirt, just easier to get a good scrub on it. Once the towel's been used once it's damp anyway.

Actually have to credit Bolton for how they handled the throw last night, they're the first team I've seen have literally no issues with it at all. Gilks was fantastic in goal as well. You can tell his experience a mile off and the save from George Lloyd in the second half at point blank range was fantastic.

Gilkes should have been in goal from day one.....shocking from Evatt sticking with Crellin
Though Gilks is not the long term answer.
Strange one playing Greenidge as lwb as he is a Centre half. Not confident he will ever play regular.
Thoight Isgrove played well in his first start and the young lad Thomason looks composed in the Centre of midfield while Tutte is out
Think Doyle left his shooting boots at home.
May and George Lloyd looked decent for you.

The was a couple of hundred dotted all over due to you only selling 1600 tickets and tickets going on open sale on Monday.
When tickets go on sale for our game with you on boxing day, fans will only be able to purchase tickets if they already have a reference, to try and keep Bolton fans from snapping up the 300 tickets that go on general sale.

Because Bolton are so big they have booking references across all clubs in Europe.

I am surprised by the low season ticket numbers at some clubs, at tier 2 we’d only get them in as we have 4000 ST holders (I’ve got a 10 game ticket so looks like no chance) if we can get tier 2 then we’d have to split 1 in every 2 games.

Let’s hope Bolton have a few Vale season ticket holders in their fan base!

Looking at your average attendances that suggests that almost everyone who goes to Vale Park is a season ticket holder. That the case? We have similar average attendances (this is all last seasons figures of course) but only about a third of people in Brunton Park for most games are season ticket holders.

Mostly, it’s about the same numbers as last season. A lot purchased the past two season to support the Shannahans and this year to help the club (most assumed we’d be back in grounds in October)

Ours have been fairly steady at 1500 for the past few seasons. Not sure how many people there are who go regularly enough to benefit from a ST but don't buy one. I think for many this season there was an incentive to purchase a season ticket to make sure you can get into the stadium, though numbers don't seem especially up.

Season ticket counts are normally a good indication of actual attendance but its a bit more awkward around here.

Crawley have about 700 season ticket holders which is (roughly) 1/3 of our home attendance.

There are a lot of shift workers around here (Airport etc.) which means buying a season ticket is a waste of money. Especially as we rarely fill the ground.

For instance; I work shifts so it means I miss about ten home games a season. I prefer to stand so I don't have a favourite seat. Whats the point of buying a season ticket under these circumstances?

I work with 4 or 5 people who go to games who have the same issues as me but make that 2 or 3 in all the little companies that make the airport run and you begin to get an idea why we have so few season ticket holders.

Why would Bolton fans already have a booking reference with Cufc?
Proberbly live close to the city or even Carlisle themselves....Will have gone the odd game down the years
Hence they will be true football fans and not the idiots
