Get in 6 points in two games been over 2 years since we did that last. Believe!
I would say well done to your owner for sticking with Moseley but from what I gather it's probably less about him being shrewd and more about you not being able to afford to sack a manager. Still, sounds like the fans were prepared to stick behind the manager if not the players or the owner... you feel the manager deserves credit for this improvement?

This strikes me as one of those false dawns at Southend.

They've beaten two very poor sides in the past couple days, I can't exactly see it lasting. Not that they shouldn't be happy though as its a lot better than what they've been used too lately

It’s never been his fault it is only Ron Martin’s. Every single word coming from the dressing room about Molesley has been positive the players love him I don’t think he has been under any pressure from upstairs nor many of the fans everyone knows it’s been the ownership.
He definitely deserves credit tonight being a prime example Grimsby absolutely dominated the first half tbf. He realised he had it wrong two changes at half time and then second half was ours. Hope it keeps going for well him and us

Hard fought win, but quite comfortable really. Mansfield were good in defence and midfield but lacking a bit in the final third. Some heroic blocks from Mansfield stopped it being more than 1-0. One in particularly at 0-0 was absolutely unreal.

That’s now 4 wins in a row, 2 goals conceded in 6 games. Up to 2nd, 2 points off top spot. I’m getting a bit optimistic. Big game next at Forest Green.

Tanner being out for a few months is a disaster though, but Armer did alright. Not sure about him playing right back long term though I have to say.

Massive win for the real CUFC esp. considering Dunk and Hoolahan weren't even in the matchday squad and no Ironside in the starting line up. Only regret I have is that we could've scored another couple of goals at the very least.

HG spent most of the summer putting about that we were going part-time and there would effectively be only one relegation spot since we would be a shoe-in for the other.
I actually didn’t tip us for relegation until after the first couple of horror show games. Before that I had us mid table due to us having a competent head coach.

The part time thing was true. We were planning to be on part time furlough until October, Clibbens even confirmed this. But then they started selling season tickets with view to October fans return so that was shelved and we went in full time.

Well, Crawley got lucky tonight. Our midfield three played like Mary, Mungo and Midge. No fight at all. Take one of them off and bring on the statue that is Fergusson...to be fair he improved it which says a lot about the other three.

We have decent forwards but belting 60 yard balls up to them is exactly that; a balls up!

Bradford are near the bottom of the table, lacking in onfidence and we decide to stroll around hardly trying. Bradford should have won that as at least they put in the effort.

Southend improving too. Someone from the outside looking in would suggest ourselves and Stevenage look nailed on for relegation.
you will have to much for Grimsby who are in freefall

Yes our right back situation could be a problem but I think we're still good enough to not let it bring the whole team down.

January will be a important month to keep hold of the likes of Guy and Bennett.

The fuck is going there? Relegation to the NL would be quite the thing for Holloway to have on his CV.

Who knows Shoddy. Way I see it, their biggest problem is Holloway and the money he's put into the club. It's hard to sack an investor and I'm not sure they really could afford to do that either. Any other manager and he wouldn't be still there in the morning.

Hopefully our earlier shrewdness in the transfer market combined with our league position means that we have the resources and the pull to go out and get a decent right back if we need to.

It feels like we are close to looking like a team that could challenge at the top end of the table but again just too wasteful and lacking concentration in key moments. The latter needs to be up to the manager to hold a few accountable as it’s happening too often.

We looked every bit the equal of a very good FGR team and thought Rodney and Hurst again advanced their cases. Still don’t know how Burgess missed when had the whole of the goal to aim at.

Still if had said prior to the Bolton game we’d have 5 points from the next three I’d have said based on the previous results that was wildly optimistic so at least it feels like the rot has stopped and we are showing signs of trending right again.

Got what we deserved tonight. Harrogate were well organised and in Jake Lawlor have a decent centre half where we have ditherers. Hope we can get some defenders back before Boxing Day.

We could be creative with some of the loans. Obiero will go back in January, so will dewhurst likely and that lad from boro whose name escapes me. So we could potentially use the money saved on these going back to bring in a right back. I trust Beech to be able to find one.

I noticed Gethin Jones wasn't in Boltons squad tonight..

Think Dewhurst might stay, despite not making the bench every game and not being likely to challenge Farman, it seems to be a loan deal that works for all parties. Reading can't really expect a keeper of his age to go out on loan and start for many league clubs but maybe feel that being part of a squad in a team that are doing well is benefiting him.

We have Magnus Norman back to be number 2. It’s utterly pointless for a club like us with no reserve team to have 3 first team professional goalkeepers.

Yeah I thought we deserved it tonight. We were amazing but definitely edged it.

Couple of twats in our fanbase thankfully were drowned out by the sensible majority. I just don’t get some people.

It’s frustrating, but positive is we are now creating chances and good ones in games which we weren’t in that run.

Since half time in the Orient game we’ve pretty much battered everyone, took Bolton to the cleaners, but failed to make it count the last two games.

Feels like someone is going to get a real hiding against us and if it clicks we will be laughing but it just isn’t at the moment, be it confidence, decision making I don’t know.

Needs to click soon though or the season will drift away, it’s four dropped points in three days in games the opponents will be wondering how they’ve got out of Vale Park with a point.

Fuck me we were dreadful tonight, and full credit to Bolton who stifled anything we tried and caught us napping at the end.

We need a goalscorer. May and Lloyd will run and run, but they both had chances tonight that a natural scorer would have put away without issue. Our midfield didn't get going and Chris Hussey was kept quiet - when he's quiet we really struggle.

The ref was an absolute bellend and made some truly baffling decisions, but he was not the reason we lost tonight.

That's a few times we've conceded in injury time now, twice have been defeats with a draw against Cambridge, and we need to nip that in the bud urgently.

We move on, hopefully back to winning ways against Barrow on Saturday.

Vale are a good side, Rodney absolutely destroyed Bernard and Cadden down our left first half and second half they definitely had the better chances, hit the bar plus one off the line and another couple that flashed across goal.

We had more of the ball but as often happens when we play sides who press high we didn't really get going and gave the ball away a bit too much in midfield which meant they put us under pressure more then we've been used to in recent games. Would have taken a point before the game so happy enough with that.

Bloody awful again, just gifting goals to anyone and everyone. Southend were there for the taking but we allowed them to score three goals while we fannied around with the ball trying to look cool and composed.

Cadden looked a very good attacking outlet I thought. He caused us the most problems and had a good delivery.
