1-0 up a sublime finish from omari Patrick. Mansfield look decent and have been battling hard but the goals been coming. Guy picked a defenders pocket and rasped one just wide while Joe Riley saw a good finish cleared off the line by a defender.

No idea if he's scored many this year but I have been impressed with Dior Angus for Barrow, looks lively

Sums us up really this game.

We start really brightly, miss a few chances but then score one. We immediately let Barrow equalise and then fall apart. Barrow have looked the better side since the equaliser and will probably score another set-piece in the 2nd half.

One of the fans main complaints about dunn was not starting Angus
Not sure about that - probably more that he couldn't get the best out of him. He's been weak as piss this season, though having a better game tonight.

Once again we are playing well but been very wasteful and blown a lead. That said FGR missed an absolute sitter earlier on too.

We are certainly improving though in terms of performance.

Frustrating half and frustrating Vale, started like a train, missed two or three very good chances, FGR come back into it miss a sitter, eventually get the goal we deserve all be it an own goal! Have a chance to make it 2 dont... concede an absolute carbon copy of the cock up we made at the back Saturday!

Rodney is murdering their left back which is giving us opportunities but fear we may pay for the missed chances again.

Scunny have been the better side and should really have 2 or 3 goals. Impressed by McAtee.

Our defence still looks our biggest weakness, mainly Sam Hird (as per usual), and probably need a little change around in tactics to get anything out of this game.

Just want to say more about that Patrick goal. Jack Armer making his first start really fizzed a vicious ball into the area from wide right, and Patrick in the middle of the box with his back to goal, killed it dead mid air, spun round and put it hard and out of Stech's reach. A real striker's goal.

if you want massive we have three centre backs playing tonight the smallest is 6/6
You've obviously not seen Rhead - anyone who has knows that's a comment about how fat he is....

Very surprised you think we've been the better side. Both sides seem to shit themselves when the other team comes forward, good thing we're both also shit going forward meaning the poor defending isn't punished

we do look dodgy at the back - but my god Scunthorpes defence looks even worse. Agree about McAtee though

By "better", I mean you should be ahead. Both teams are making mistakes, but you have missed some very clear cut chances.

Ah, I was just going off Adam Johnson saying it was something to see Angus starting today, or maybe it was Angus and Quigley both starting that he was commenting on

Yeah, he's referred to that quite a few times - it was a very good partnership last season, but Angus can't just rely on his pace at this level and has struggled.

Angus' performance has been impressive or awful according to our forum. Shows what fans know about football.

Wow morecambe are absolute filth.
They've deserved the win (just), but what a dirty, scummy, time wasting outfit. They should be down to 9 men to be honest.
Ah well, we're not good enough for play offs anyway, I'm so pleased we didn't go for Adams as manager last year, ugly, ugly stuff.

Barrow are there for the taking right now but we're wasting every chance we have to go forward, just poor cross after poor cross

Vale started the second half really well but FGR now hitting back.

Askey needs to get Mills some help on our right side. Cadden is having his way with him at the moment.

Barrow have barely been forward in this 2nd half, they're 100% winning this

Got what we deserved against Morecambe, who were far more streetwise than ourselves. Opening 25mins we played as well as I've seen us this season. Good passing and ball retention and took our chance when on top which opened the game up.

After that Morecambe pushed higher up the pitch, became more aggressive and deserved the win, they created more chances and managed the game better.

Our passing and ball retention was awful for the rest of the game, worst we've played IMO like that for a while, we just didn't string and any passes or passages of play together. Pushed hard once we went behind, but didn't create anything clear cut, just a few half chances. Conor Wilkinson unlucky I thought with 3 decent long range efforts.

Morecambe will almost certainly upset the apple cart this year, no one will expect them to do anything but they work hard and force teams into errors, they seem to manage games and winning positions mainly by trying to con the officials, but they're organised when they need to be.

All in all, its games like that which we don't seem to do very well in and why we'll slowly drop back into midtable - away from home on a bobbly pitch against organised sides is still nut we need to learn to crack. Under Ross we've never truly ground a hard fought 1-0 win out often enough.

Usual cock up to let in the openner...but a great near post header sees Crawley equalise...shame it was a Bradford defender who did it.

Really good competitive game this. Both teams have played some nice stuff tonight. Definitely will be at least another chance for either to get a winner.
