Fuck me. That was a dreadful watch.

Lincoln did a job on us. The penalty was never a penalty. The game plan was to sit back and smash the wingers… it worked. They offered very little, got lucky with the penalty, sat back and managed the game well.

I don’t think I’ve seen a game with so many fouls in the second half. It made for a horrible watch.

Ah well definitely no coming back from that now if there was even slight doubt before.

Looks like Cheltenham or Burton likely will go to the last day.

A totally unexpected point but absolutely vital. Almost mathematically safe now. Considering Anderson hadn't played since first week of January, largely left out of the squad since Hurst came in he was fantastic tonight. The whole team defended well. Took both goals well, and a couple of other chances for Dunkley and Shipley to add to the goals.

Maghoma took his goal well for Bolton. They put on a lot of pressure but no real clear cut chances after the equaliser.

Congratulations to Pompey on their promotion. They have been the best team that I've seen this season.

Lads are getting pelters but feels harsh. We’ve dominated that but sums up why we are down as any average side puts Wycombe away there. We just aren’t ruthless enough.

Should have scored before the pen was awarded frustratingly, with Taylor getting his feet mixed up. Draper had two great chances first half too.

Wasn't great tonight but we did what we had to do to keep it going a few more days.

That SHOULD see us safe from here thankfully. Didn’t expect another point from our remaining games, especially this one. We defended for our lives in the second half but our first half performance deserved something from tonight. Just relieved that we shouldn’t have any drama on the final day as the past week has taken it out of me enough.

You’re welcome Derby fans.

Well done Cheltenham.
We are finished.
Reading on Saturday is huge. Can’t see past an away win.
We deserve to go down so it might be the only way to get rid of this clown. Totally out of his depth.

Story of a number of our games this season. Dominate much of it but concede really shit goals without the opposition having to do much and rarely score more than 1. Hopefully Bolton will finally put us out of our misery on Saturday.

Once again, it's the hope that kills you. We deserved that tonight, I've been critical of us but that was a really good second half.

Same annoyance and frustration from most weeks. Got to be winning that or at worst drag out a point.

Think I'll be watching out for the Burton and Cheltenham scores rather than our game on Saturday

Well we bottled ours as well, had a shocking performance and deservedly lost.

Cheltenham winning was a bummer too but Vale losing probably puts us out of reach of them. So just got to finish above one of Burton and Cheltenham now.

Edit: Congrats Pompey

Looking at Cheltenham’s final three games, I would be stunned if they managed one win let alone two to send us down. Stranger things have happened though.

I’m angry at how our season season has turned out as we should never be in this position but we have to be thankful there’s four worse teams than us. Huge summer ahead now on and off the pitch. Be interesting to see what sort of squad/chairman we have come August. Hopefully all but two or three remain at the club player wise in the next few months.

The last 2 games have summed up the season in that you just don't know what amount of effort is going to be put in game to game.

Big summer ahead.

Barnsley were really good tonight, but as we've done so many times this season we found a way to get the job done.

Absolute scenes and it's party time!

Utter garbage tonight. If we stay up we can consider ourselves very lucky.

Aged well....lol
I honestly do not care a jot :woo:

Seriously, it was a scrappy as shit first half and neither team deserved to be ahead, but it was a typical Cheltenham goal to concede. We looked bereft up front, despite having more of the ball.

Second half was fantastic from us. We put Burton on the back foot from the first minute and just penned them in. The first goal was a well worked free-kick and the second was what we've been wanting from corners all season. It's about time Curtis Davies put one in the right net. Burton weren't great and injuries forced their hands with subs.

I have to say it as well - the ref was very lenient for us and gave us things he probably didn't give them. We've been due a ref like that for a while though (not that it will help Burton).

Still in our own hands - I daren't dream...

Ground that one out despite the best efforts of the ref. We had a few pretty good chances. Freddie had two, O'Connor a free header at the back post from a corner and Taylor as well. Jensen made a couple of decent saves but Oxford, for all their good wing play, offered relatively little by way of cutting edge.

With Hackett sustaining a pretty serious looking injury and his replacement Duffy being sent off, we really will be down to the bare bones at the weekend. Either Burroughs or Roughan at LWB, I expect.

Fingers crossed Stevenage can do us a favour on Friday. Looks like the last day could be spicy!

Pleased for Pompey, back to the sort of level they belong. They’ve certainly done their time in the lower leagues. Top fans - good luck next season!
Yep. Them, Bolton and Derby really shouldn't be at this level. They should leave it to us bunch of shit heaps!

They've been consistently the best side all season. They didn't really show it when they played us but still took 6 points off us, but clearly any team with 90+ points is the strongest in the league. Good luck in the Championship....feel like it might be another 20 odd years until we play you again....at least!

Meh. Didn't see it but probably have seen it enough times this year to know exactly how it was judging by the feedback. We should, should, hobble over the line from here whatever we do, speaking as objectively as you can in our situation, but still.

Gonna be hard to see us getting anything on Saturday, BST Blessing is cancelled out by the double curse of Wycombe and playing on a Tuesday, but who knows. It'd be nice to win safety ourselves, rather than another weekend crunching the numbers on the vidiprinter.

I think that's 13 home defeats now. Appalling.

Beating us 1-0 on the final day in an appalling football spectacle will make up for it all though. Chin up, worse things happen at sea.

You couldn't make up last night's result. All season Fleetwood have gone without being given a single penalty. One up in the match, we get one to go 2 up and miss. Then at 1-1 we get another penalty to go 1-2 up and b...miss. We were nailed on to lose this game and obviously stuck to the plan. Fantastic 10 years in league 1 punching above our weight. Highs and lows, 2 play offs achieved, 2 near fatal relegations narrowly avoided, so it's finally caught up with us. More than ever, and in spite of our crooked, bent disgraceful owner, proud to be a Fleetwood fan. Long live the Cod Army !!!

you are not down yet - there is still a way you can get out by beating us on the last day of Cheltenham do not win their last 3.

Cough cough.
Just kidding, I know they're all bigger clubs than us :woot:

Happy for Pompey, they deserve it. Gonna miss our trips to Fratton Park, always a great day out, usually with a guaranteed 3 points

Big win last night, good to see us back to a clean sheet as well.

Bit of a shitter about Hackett dislocating his shoulder, that'll be him out for the season. Then his replacement getting sent off!

I wasn't sure on the penalty but there's not much of a protest from Oxford players, pretty half hearted. Can't believe it will have been a 12(?) yellow card game though?!
