Cook’s attitude stinks imo, as you say against former clubs he’s a different animal. I don’t know why former clubs wind him up, it’s about the only time he puts in real effort when he’s given shit.

Possibly. Hard to second guess these things. Depends on lots of different variations at what's going on here and the state of the club he's potentially going to.

1-1 at Crawley a good result in the end, but a lot of controversy about the Crawley equaliser. Farman made a good save, but the ball rebounded onto the arm of Feely who was facing away from goal. Neither the ref of assistant give anything and play goes on for 30-40 seconds before the ref suddenly points to spot. Crawley equalise from the spot and other than a missed header late on they didn't really create anything clear cut afterwards. The Crawley keeper makes at least 4 top class saves in the last 15 mins before Newby scores for Barrow in the 90th min only for the ref to disallow it (possibly for a push?)

Pretty fair comments. Your keeper made 3 really decent saves. Ours made five.

Your goal came about as our winger tried to control the ball with his foot when it was above his head. Allowed your winger time and space to put in a lovely cross for a classic centre forwards goal.

It was penalty though. Its shite but that's a penalty nowadays as he controlled the ball with his arm. I think it's a rubbish rule but it is there. The ref and the lino were chatting about it over their radios before giving it. Hence the delay.

A lot of folks on our forum are saying Williams didn't deserve to be booked (15 times this season) as it was Kelly who fouled your player. True, but Williams went in aggressively as the ref blew his whistle. Fair cop to me. He will now be banned for 3(?) Games.

Apparently Parky was at your game last night. Don't think he'd specifically take the time to go on a scouting mission on Stockport for a dead rubber match so he's obviously looking at one or two players.

Question is, who?

I think Jones would be most likely. He'd do a job in L1, always did until his knee ops and now seems over them. I don't think he has any particular loyalty to Notts and would jump at the chance to go up a division with an upwardly mobile club.
Langstaff a bit of a gamble and wouldn't be cheap, Crowley not really big enough for Parky. Maybe he fancies turning Baldwin into a reliable defender

I honestly don't think it's rocket science, we need Palmer back and a new goalkeeper and defence. There's nothing we can do with what we currently have - the players you'd need to fix what's wrong aren't in our squad currently.

I don't mind the keeper, perhaps I've been traumatised by Slocombe and Stone but I think Ashby-Hammond will get better.

If you are a L1 club with the financial means and you aren't looking at the L2 player of the season who don't forget is only 26 I'd be very surprised.

Much cheaper than goal machine Langstaff.

Ashby-Hammond isn’t as bad as the other two but he’s nowhere near good enough IMO. He’s basically had the fortune of none of his fuck ups really having led to a goal yet.

I suspect he won't become their No.1 and will go out on loan again next season.


If we are going down the loan route for goalkeeper I'd be looking for noticeably better. Best of a bad bunch.
