I think that Mr Evatt is perfectly correct and entitled to raise this valid complaint.

How dare the EFL compel the mighty Notlob Wanderers to ever venture away from their state of the art stadium at all.
They should, indeed, even also be offered automatic entry into the UEFA Champions League - on the grounds that they have their own quarantine hotel.

It is definitely getting harder to think of a more dislikeable manager than Evatt at the moment.

As for our game tomorrow night - God only knows. If Clarke's going, hopefully Walsall will be in a bit of disarray.

Standby for us to have about 4 or 5 golden opportunities and miss all of them. I'll take a draw right now.

Think he’s got overly giddy for some reason. With how he spouts off you’d have thought he was managing a premiership side rather than a bog standard mid table league 2 team.

I always wanted to be a sports journalist when I was a kid, but in a way I'm glad I never went down that route. It must be so hard for interviewers sometimes to just say "umm, why are you talking such bollocks?"

Enjoys the whining from tinpot teams......or in this case the supporters who are used to watching dire football year in year out and love trying to put one over there superiors !!

By making Bolton sound the most tinpot out of all of us.

Oh diddums, do you have to wait 24 hours to play a game. Is Wednesday-Saturday too much for your poor little darlings.

It's pathetic. Grow up, get on with it, stop whining like a 2 year old. We're all having to make sacrifices at the moment.

I understand why he’s frustrated with having the game postponed twice and then moved, but every team is having to deal with these things in this messy season.

I’d mind less if we were top of the league but we’re mid-table - best just to keep schtum and get on with it.

Should be interesting seeing what he has to say after the game gets called off again on Wednesday afternoon - the forecast isn’t looking great :conf:

You have half the story as per....
Evatt wanted the game on a Tuesday because that is the day lge 2 play.

You have to plan logistics, travel, training etc

We have done 3000 miles round trips in the past midweek and played three days later.
Mansfield are moving the fucking goalposts and you lot just agree with anything because its putting one over Bolton
Sacrifices is NOTHING to do with it

How are we moving the goalposts? the EFL agreed to the date, you know, the ones that run the league?

Just to point out we’re playing 3 games in 6 days whereas you’re playing 3 in 7 days, but yet its bolton thats inconvenienced? hmm yeah that works.

Don’t hear our manager moaning and making himself look a complete and utter tit (again), it’s a case of cracking on with it, like everyone else.

I’m embarrassed for him.

Ian Evatt has been talking utter tripe since arriving at the Breezeblock. Must be something in the air in those parts!
With Evatts knickers in a twist, I fancy Mansfield may employ some early gamesmanship to see if they can get an early card or two. Think the winners of this game will go on and challenge for the play offs.

Rumour has it we’re going to set the sprinkler off infront of their bench halfway through the game

They've probably frozen off in the extreme temperatures we have just experienced that caused postponements at grounds with fully equipped groundsmen.

Some groundsmen went the extra yard and got the game on......Cambridge
Some put undersoil heating in 1980 when they were out of the top flight and put it in there new ground like us

Flip the coin
Some furloughed there staff surprise surprise the games off time and time again
Then others reached the dizzy heights of the premiership and did not put undersoil heating in

Yep games called off

Back in the Conference we used to have to play Tuesday Thursday Saturday to fit all the games in with all the postponements down there, Evatt needs to shut his trap the fucking pillock.

In 97/98 we won the third tier playoffs, the AWS and went on alright runs in both the FA and League Cups. Paul Groves started every single one of those 68 matches that season. Just shut the fuck up and get on with your job. That's at everyone in football from L2 upwards. You're paid handsomely to go around the country and play football. If you're a manager and getting a bus for a few hours tires you and your precious little players out, maybe you should think about dropping down to a regional division.

Clough had a bit of a unnamed dig back at Evatt the other day, I hope when we play after the 8th reschedule Evatt is really riled up on the touchline.

It’s David Sharpe that should be on that picture now, JR is busy getting bladdered in Portugal!

Just Googled David Sharpe, didn't realise it was the same guy that was chairman of Wigan. He looks like a cross between a Bond villain, Robin van Persie and Benedict Cumberbatch. I bet he gets up to some freaky stuff with the Radfords.

Now managing Gloucester City. When Holloway went a few weeks back, their fans were scared you'd come calling. He'd only been there a few days at the time.

Yeah they're top as well aren't they? I think they were top before he took over though. I think Chesterfield took their previous boss? Prior to that Groves was assistant to John Gregory in India! He did an interview with Radio Humberside while he was out there. Hope he does well and gets Gloucester up. He's a club legend for us. I'd definitely want him back here if he can prove himself and things don't work out with Hurst. If we go down and Hurst leaves then I'd imagine he'll be high on the list of candidates.

Gav Gunning was at Gloucester earlier this season too, maybe he'll make a glorious return to the Fish in the summer?
