Yeah they're top as well aren't they? I think they were top before he took over though. I think Chesterfield took their previous boss? Prior to that Groves was assistant to John Gregory in India! He did an interview with Radio Humberside while he was out there. Hope he does well and gets Gloucester up. He's a club legend for us. I'd definitely want him back here if he can prove himself and things don't work out with Hurst. If we go down and Hurst leaves then I'd imagine he'll be high on the list of candidates.

Yeah - quite funny really. James Rowe went and took Akwasi Asante with him then they announced that there was an agreement that Chesterfield couldn't sign any more Gloucester players. A week later, one player had a mysterious injury and then agreed to have his contract terminated (George Carline) - he then ended up at.....Chesterfield.

Another player then agreed to a have his contract terminated (name escapes me), he then turns up at......Chesterfield.

Then Gav Gunning, who had an operation paid for by the Gloucester City Supporters Trust, agrees to terminate his contract, paying the Trust back for the operation and ends up at..........Chesterfield!!

The Gloucester fans bloody hate Chesterfield.

And the pathetic Chesterfield fans on here think it’s really funny and that they are massive because they keep raiding Gloucester City for players.

Gloucester City ffs!

I have a lot of respect for Gloucester - their fans have been through some shit over the years, including having to play home games at Whaddon Road.

Could you imagine Grimsby having to play home games at Scunthorpe. They lost so many supporters because of it.

Then when they finally get home to the city after 13 years away - Covid hits!!!

Wow just looked at Asante's start for Chesterfield, decent return that. That's complete shitbaggery from Chesterfield though, definitely on brand for Gunning that!

Agree totally, that they have survived and now seem to be prospering is little short of a miracle. They are top of the Conference North and despite the disruption caused by recent departures seem to be doing OK...would love to see them in the Football League...three Gloucestershire teams, happy days! Stuff that up your pipe rugby fans, this is turning into a football county!

Bolton giving the disciplinary panel a bung through some shadowy fat Zorro type character probably!
Seems your winging last season is now bearing fruit...........How many times this season have you played against ten men.

You certainly should have had one of your players sent off and this was let go.......two minutes later we are down to ten men.

mmmmm i am starting to smell a rat

just looked ...you had players sent off three games running in December against you...plus dubious sendings off against vale and us.

And how many penalties has vaughan had this season??

The Harrogate commentators are an absolute treat. Like cricket commentators with a touch of Kenneth Williams thrown in for good measure. A carlisle throw in on 16 minutes was remarked on by 'he's got a long one too has he? Hmmmmm we'll see!'

2021 so far has been like going on a safari of bbc local radio commentators

Salford's commentator sounds like Michael Owen.
