Yep. I think that puts us out of the automatics race, such is his influence. Got to hope we scrape enough wins to at least make playoffs.

Maybe. Difference now is we have Byers. We have more depth with Harper, Walters, the lad from Wolves, and Chislett. I can imagine Chis in particular working better alongside Byers and Croasdale, than when he was thrown in alongside only Croasdale earlier in the season in a different formation.

Keeping Byers fit is the key now. We lose them both again like was the case throughout December, we're in trouble.

Big night for Curtis Edwards and Conor Grant, feels like both are flirting with scapegoat status

Nothing personal Notts fans but I'm hoping you get the full Cowley-ball experience tonight. Also if Fleetwood and Morecambe can get something that would be just about perfect.

Big blow that, we are unbeaten in 17 games with Garrity, 1 win in 10 without him.

They certainly need to both step up a level and produce something an assist would be nice.

We are fast approaching fare I say Chesterfield levels of injuries. Bedeau the latest surprise omission due to injury. Still no JJ, no Austin, no Whitaker, no Jarvis in the starting XI and no McGoldrick as expected.

Need to grind this one out.

Nice cross by the Notts RWB for the goal. Get the feeling this will now be a long night for Colchester.

Up against it here. Hardly been out of our half and Fleetwood just missed a sitter. Pitch is a disgrace but no excuse for our lack of, well, everything apart from last-gasp tackles.

Colchester playing pretty well in fairness since the goal. Forced Notts into a fair few errors playing it along the back.

Utterly atrocious 45 minutes there, Colchester have just set traps all game and we haven’t got the players to play through them.

Maynard’s got to have a better plan than just asking Curtis Edwards to try and be David McGoldrick

Not quite sure how we are still level. However we are so let's see what second half brings.

And jatta isn't banned? Another fucking mental one.
Not sure he's out of the woods yet, fairly sure they can be reviewed a while after the game.

We've looked a bit nervy and Colchester have pressed us well. Not exactly sure what the answer is looking at the bench.

From watching the game Colchesters number 21 is having his way with your righthand side. Every time he's on the ball he beats his man with ease.

Donny on top but I think Morecambe will work their way back into the game in the 2nd half.

Same lad who left the ball for the goal on Thursday. Looks alright on the ball but less so when he's defending, we don't really have anyone else to play there tonight. The winger looks sharp to be fair

This resembles recent performances away from plough lane. The only positive is that it's 0-0. Fleetwood probably should be winning this game.

The Notts number 3 got totally megged then on that through ball but Colchester fully deserve that goal.

Up until recent weeks Edwards (the 21) has been all pace and no end product, but started to look the part on that front too just lately.

We’ve missed some sitters, I think 6 is optimistic but definitely 4

What the hell was the Donny lad trying to do there? Middle of the pitch, Morecambe player going backwards and he decides to scythe him down recklessly.

Answers on a post card because we are all baffled it’s as if we are trying to throw away any chance of promotion

Wimbledon have been absolutely terrible.

Don't get everyone's obsession over them, personally. They've been very lucky in a few games lately. Their defence is just so solid. They look poor away from home, which could be the reason they miss out on the top three.

Colchester are easily the most boring team in the entire EFL. Don't get me wrong, their brand of football works, to a certain extent. But good lord is it dire to watch.
