We're consistently inconsistent these days, if you come at us you could easily come away with the points.

We don’t tend to try and sit in away from home with mixed results (won at Huddersfield, thumped at Wrexham), so I can’t see Brady setting up defensively. I’d imagine we’ll try and press high and force errors at the back but I do worry it leaves us open defensively especially with how stretched we are back there.

Northampton have a good team I think, I remember Hoskins and Pinnock a couple of seasons ago, both good players and seemed to have added some others in the mean time. Not sure how tonight will go really. I don't think it's one many neutrals will be running to the bookies certain of how this ends up either.

Horsfall suspended for us against his old side. He's a rock for us and he missed one game last season which was through illness and we lost 4-0 at Tranmere. I don't think we ever lost by more than 1 goal throughout the season apart from that which showed how important he was and still is.

We beat you 2-0 on New Year’s Day.

Horsfall with the mistake for the second goal funnily enough.

Reading at home. They will no doubt give us a good game but I will be disappointed if we don't win.

That's exactly the sort of thing that's undone us recently. You'll know how imperious Horsfall can be but even he's had a couple of shockers recently

Hoskins and Pinnock remain Brady favourites despite their productivity massively dropping off in recent times. Hoskins is a great finisher, but that is it. An asset to have when he is scoring goals but other than working hard he does not really offer anything else. We have Tariq Fosu and Tyler Roberts, both of whom are levels above talent wise. Roberts I think has to be in the side.

But Brady has been so loyal to a core of the squad (at times frustratingly) but it difficult to argue with him given our success with that core in his tenure.

I just think we struggle to ever really have control a game, we dont tend to ever really dictate play. We also have a slow CB pairing and I just think we may struggle tonight. We try and press high at times but the gap in the CM area is astounding at times. Its like school football where everyone is either in defence or upfront.

Hor$fall was excellent with us in his 2 years. Didnt begrudge him a move elsewhere if he was going to get a big pay rise closer to him (the players gave him the cash moniker).

I'm not sure we will win another game until January when we can get some defenders in.
Mukena is a young lad who will come good but leaving him on his own at the back while the other two defenders fly forward us unfair in him. I believe the modern term for it is rest defence. There should be 3 but we keep ending up with just him. Add in our complete lack of coaching in set pieces and you can understand where I'm coming from.

I'm hoping we can keep it to two or under for a change.

Has anybody got some spare change to put in the electric meter at Stevenage tonight? Lot of Cambridge fans, including myself giving this one a big swerve after all the trouble last year, not wanting to fill the coffers of that odious little club by one penny. No idea if we are good enough to steal a point or three from this, we generally don’t pick up much from this fixture. We might see some minor squad rotation, with the Burton game in mind. No word on injuries from Saturday which generally isn’t a good sign. If we can play with the intensity we did against Wigan we might just get something from the game, and the confidence a win brings must surely help. 1-1 with a last minute 35 yard piledriver from Loft securing the point. Lofty actually looked half decent on Saturday and was linking up with big Dan N quite nicely at times.

No Magennis tonight. Just Cox up front which is interesting. I think this might be a tough night

Huddersfield keeper booked after 20 mins for timewasting and has carried on doing it just the same. But we know no ref will ever book a keeper again for it.

Huddersfields number 9 is comfortably the worst player I've seen in league one so far this season (will probably score in the second half now). Overall not much in it, although we've had the better of it overall.

The referee has given a bizarre performance. No wonder as it's the bloke who was in charge when we lost 5-4 to Grimsby a few seasons back when he got every decision wrong, which to be fair to him probably evened out across the two teams over the game.

No complaints. Reading have done their homework and are pressing us and making our defence look like a pub team.
Can't be any worse in the second half as I expect Magennis and Doyle to come on.

Uneventful game in E10. Rotherham another big, lump-it side who aren’t even trying to attack and instead chucking themselves all over the shop in search of set pieces. I’ve seen this movie before…

Think he booked our centre back not the keeper. You look the better team to me so far, winning more battles and we can’t keep hold of the ball, our bench looks half decent tonight though.

Pretty poor half for us. Coming to accept this will be another season of mid table mediocrity for us

Pulled 1 back... Hope we can pile on the pressure now. Reading have played very well so far, we've been poor.

Bolton have some shocking players and they're performing to the worst of their abilities. Not had a shot and getting beat without a whimper

Well we've been absolutely honking tonight. Even first half, Crawley much better 2nd half. Struggling to think of a chance we've had

Horrendous penalty decision late on at Edgeley Park has seemingly denied us a point. Wootton holding McGeehan, McGeehan holding Wootton, of course penalty Stockport. Felt like the ref was pretty keen to give them something.

Ah well, on to the next.

Improved second half performance from ourselves and not much between the sides overall, a point at Wrexham looks decent this season.

Huddersfield were certainly not going to come here and get bashed up like a lot of teams do. Came for their point and got it. Felt we could have done a lot more but a cagey game all round which we don't see usually at home. Can't grumble though.

Another clean sheet, 7 in 12 games.

6 changes from Clough tonight bizarrely, including Gregory down to the bench, must be injury related.

Wigan controlled the first 30 minutes, created nearly nothing with it like, then one mistake from them left Will Evans with a chance to shoot from 25 yards and he smashes it in the onion bag.

They made four changes at half time and it worked, absolutely all over us, but somehow we managed to get back in the lead again from another good goal this time by Keanu Baccus.

In truth we were pretty poor tonight(in terms of retaining the ball and making chances) and second best to Wigan throughout it in terms of control, but other than a 15 minute spell in the second half we always seemed pretty comfortable, we defended excellently and produced two moments of real quality.

3 away wins on the trot.

A poor, flat performance overall. Neither teams did enough to win and a draw probably a fair result. Huddersfield were limited up front but did a pretty good job in stifling us in midfield and their defence were good.

Pretty happy with 4 points from the last two games so can't be too disappointed.

How he didn’t send Bate off just before the goal is beyond me.
Deserved something out of that game, Stockport created a lot but nothing out of the ordinary in terms of clear cut chances. Maybe the shot just wide in the 2nd, but that only makes up for another shite penalty decision. Both sides hit the post, and Eaves will be disappointed not to score with his header as well.

And Magloire gets a stoppage time goal after a year and a half out. He didn’t know how to even celebrate.

The threshold for a Cobblers yellow and a Stockport foul/yellow was massively different tonight

Yep, much better second half. Probably deserved a draw in the end. Hit the post and had a penalty shout. We paid the price for poor team selection
