Is Davison the guy who was at AFCW? Strong, puts himself about but very limited from my occasional viewings.

As someone else mentioned, Grimsby’s issues are not just injuries to probable starters, but the bench has been made up of the semi injured and therefore the starting X1 doesn’t change until the game is virtually over as the subs just aren’t ready to play.

2-0 Tranmere ( I’m still travelling over later on)
That’s Davison exactly. The Wimbledon fans did warn us.

In response to an earlier query, any Mariners fans travelling over, away fans are welcome in the Trust tent, have checked with the SLO to confirm.

I'm expecting a really hard game tonight against Crewe. Our home form is very average in the league, we haven't won since the opening match of the season.
Be good to get the Vale result out of our system, but....can see a draw 1-1

Yeah and I just feel Dobra could do with a rest. Jacobs gets some stick but he has a bit of class and you just feel that’ll be what we need tonight. Berry for legs.

Yes Davison was with us at Wimbledon. We were glad to see the back of him. Always gives 100 percent but he's hopeless to be quite honest. Don't know how he's getting on at Tranmere this season . I'd say National league is his level at best

He was the one who missed a 1 v 1 to put Swindon 3-0 up against us in the Play Off first leg, then missed the 5th penalty to send them to Wembley in the shoot out! Had a bit of a mare!

We’ve got a great record against the dross of the league and a relatively shit record against the good ones. I’m presuming looking at the league table that Tranmere are in the former category but it feels as though our injury crisis is really taking its toll on the players available now. I predict a horrid 1-0 to either side.

No idea how we’ll get on, but anyone going to Barrow away on a Tuesday evening should be getting 10 loyalty points.
10 loyalty points for Barrow Away is a bit tight - Chelsea fans got 5 for going to the Home game against us.

Big changes tonight and out of nowhere Connor Grant appears in the line up for his first appearance.

Stockley rested and on the bench is a gamble, Cover rested and Chislett and Shorrock not even in the squad.

Didn’t expect as many changes and Grant from not making a single 18 to starting is a surprise but whilst poor last season was a league one title winner the year before so hopefully can step in.

cobbled together a decent side tonight given some fitness issues although Bedeau and Abbott dropping out is annoying.

Also an incredibly worrying looking bench. A goalkeeper, 3 centre backs for some reason, a 19 year old wingback yet to make his league debut and Martin & Brown who Maynard hasn’t really fancied so far

Not a surprise at all. Three games in a week as a lot to ask for a player of Stockleys style. If you have a large squad use it and keep everyone as fresh as possible. It’s just the way Moore does things.

True but he’s crucial to how we play!

Big gamble but an experienced XI today. Not sure why he’s dropped Cover!

5 changes is a gamble. Worked at Notts but this is a different type of game and one with more expectation on it.

Looks like we've got a case of the niggles.

It's certainly not what I was expecting. Expected the Gambian Prince up top on his own. McDonald has supposedly impressed in limited starts but Bedeau has been very impressive. Abbott is a loss. Austin less so. Robertson poor recently but need his bite especially away from home. Up to Hinchy and Palmer in his absence with Crowley ahead hopefully to pull the strings.

Still decent enough happy with the wingbacks.

I don’t think it’s a case of dropping him. Same as with Rico Richards they’ll have the data on him from the sport scientists etc that all clubs use nowadays so that will influence it. Would rather miss him for a game than risk him tweaking something ahead of Saturday.

Bit of a risk in my eyes but Stockley is a physical player who will benefit from a rest and Cover has played a lot of minutes. I'm sure both will be back on Saturday.

Moore has gone for battlers and then some real game changers on the bench.

Still no Little, Nevitt, Rowe or Dack for us.
Not had close to a first team out all season.
Just hope we can grind out a result.

Experience maybe. Need to use Tolaj and Paton correctly though here and get it down which may be why Grant is in as more of a footballer.

In fairness as much as we love being top it’s a 46 game season so have to make sensible decisions.

Technically down to our third choice wing backs on both sides which is mad!

Dear oh dear

Playing a side in form away when bottom of the table, need to frustrate need to bring them down to your level need to keep a first half clean sheet.

2 minutes in as usual individual basic f*ck up and 1-0 down.

Be a thumping now probably
