For 75 minutes, it was like an attack v defence training match. Harrogate defended manfully to be fair to them. Last 15 I thought we got a bit too complacent because it had been so comfortable. They had a couple of half chances but Rippers hasn't made a save of note. The home side is always going to have to go for it at some point.

What's impressive is that this probably wasn't anywhere near our strongest 11 and yet we completely dominated and looked superior to the opposition.

Another tough game on Saturday against a team who seem excellent at home but perhaps not so good away. This run will end at some point but we will obviously be full of confidence.
Just got to keep ticking over. Enjoy it whilst it lasts and hopefully we can open up a bit of a gap. Ultimate aim is top 3 and there will be bumps in the road but so far so good. Since the Barrow/Doncaster debacle we’ve grown and clicked and improved week on week.

Each game is tough, as said Accrington gave us the hardest test in this 10 game run so no one can be taken lightly.

Really enjoyed that tonight (probably not the lengthy journey back coming up).

Thought that was a very good professional performance from Vale. Harrogate credit to them I thought they were very organised with their two banks of four looking to play on the counter and it nearly worked a couple of times.

Excellent free kick from Paton to win it and really happy with Conor Grants performance tonight. One of those who took some stick last season but he did a great job on the left.

But you dominated the game again right?

Got what we deserved anyway because for me, Cook has absolutely 0 excuse for picking that team. Why on earth he’s took Mandeville out for Daley-Campbell is anyone’s guess, but the most baffling one was Banks on the right wing for 65 mins when you’ve got Markanday playing in the number 10 who is much more comfortable on the wing, and Dobra, Colclough, Jacobs all sat on the bench?

We’ve had a number of golden opportunities to win that and we’ve not taken them. Dobra’s header was pathetic, that part of his game is below Sunday league standard, I honestly cannot understand how he missed that. Maddens was a stinker of a sitter too but in fairness ref had already blown for a foul just before so wouldn’t have counted regardless.

Positives are it’s another point in the right direction and we’ve played very well overall to be honest as the stats show. Oldaker best player on the park by a distance as well, he has ran the show tonight. Onto Morecambe where if we can get a win there, then 7 points in a week that included 2 away games would be a good return.

Sang, Debrah and Grant all took a pasting last season from fans and rightly so but look more than capable. Debrah has really matured over the summer and Sang has been excellent. Drop in level has done them the world of good.

Agree it was a slightly strange team. No reason not to pick Mandy, when you've played him against better teams. Banks isn't a winger, just isn't. All that said though, we take our chances in that game and we run out 3-1/4-1 and no one cares about the selection. We've got to start burying these chances. Markanday had a good chance first half as well, and Berry's free kick hitting the bar, then the post, then skimming across the goal line is just hard luck.

Another ‘one of them days’ for us at home. Ey, at least the unbeaten home run goes on…

Gillingham are a great example of how nerds like our owners made their money gambling on stats. One glance at the basic ones and they were getting pasted every game even when they were winning.

Dominated the shrimps start to finish. They are a poor side and we should have won by more. I stick by I've seen no one better than us so far in the league.

Quarter of the season in now

Chesterfield will come back when cook figures it out .. or he won't. He has the squad.

I think MK will figure it out too. Again on paper it's a great team

Stocky has just been on Ladbrokes and cashed out his £50 bet on Artell to be sacked for 75p.

A good win. Not at our best but good enough for the Cumbrians. Thought the Carlisle fans were excellent and more than their team deserve.

Jellis, Gordon and Jamma the outstanding players for me.

Notts basically signed Jamie Jellis ahead of last January and it fell through for some reason and he signed for Walsall. That’s starting to look rather annoying.

Mate that Lowe you've got up front is a absolute baller. Got a big future. We're screaming out for someone like that

Hope that rings true because we are nearing our run of games when we play 7 of the bottom 8 in a row . Think that run will indicate whether we have a chance of a play-off push or just drop to mid table .
As long as we keep our negative goal difference - promotion could be possible with a GD of about minus 17 at the current rate of ppg and a thrashing every 3 games, surely would be a record

Vale and Walsall look like they might be opening up a bit of a gap. Our game was too shit to comment on. The fact that we’re third means the rest of you should be too embarrassed to leave your homes.

Spin zone. If we’re somehow 3rd and can hang around there until January then we’ll surely piss promotion when Jodi is back

Could get a play-off spot winning 23 and losing 23 that should be the goal now with a - GD would throw all that XG and data out the window lol

We’ve actually won more games than you. Our undoing will be that we don’t look capable of putting any significant run together and just generally a level below the big spenders of Vale, Donny and Notts. The difference between this season and last season is that when we take a lead we are a lot better at keeping it. If we concede first then we are fucked.

Still, we’ve had a tough start and we’re missing 4 first choice midfielders so will be interested to see where we are come January.

We’d clearly be ten points clear by now if he’d just switch the fucking wing backs around.

He's a constant threat mate only a kid as well I'll be surprised if Stoke don't have him back in January and either stick him in there squad or loan him back out to League one if he carries on like this.

Artell’s quietly doing a good job - I know I was taking the piss a bit but was genuinely surprised when I had a look at the table.

Not quite sure how we're doing this with at best half a team. Even without our influential player and captain in Demetriou tonight, and we still win and keep another clean sheet. 1 loss in 10 with the injuries we had is crazy. As said above an average age of just over 21 tonight, including 7 starting players 21 or younger.

Everyone seems convinced that was a pen for Tranmere at the end but I don't think it was that easy to tell from the camera angle? Regardless though, that ref definitely had it in for Tranmere, so can understand their frustration. It played into our hands really though, a classic case of them losing their heads on and off the pitch. Khouri and Hume both fantastic but a real team effort all round. McJannett and Rose both with super bits of defending to keep us in the match at various points. I don't think Obikwu's header in the first half is the sitter it was made out to be. Certainly not one that anyone's nan could tap in. Thankfully, that will get forgotten as the goal was all him. Chased a lost cause, won it and then a very good finish from a tight angle. Tranmere came at us then but we're adept at holding onto these leads now and I felt pretty comfortable for most of that, we even ventured forwards more than we did at Gillingham and Salford.

Wait a second, Grimsby Town are in the play-offs!?!

I obviously had my eye on this on the live table after we'd taken the lead and was wondering when was the last time we'd been in the L2 playoff spots was and then Crewe scored at Fleetwood it knocked us back down to 8th and it was actually your equaliser than put us back into the top 7 so cheers for that!

I'm thinking last time we were in the top 7 would have been just before Hursty v1.0 went to Shrewsbury in late 2016 too? Not sure if any Town fans can confirm that or not?

As others have said - another game where we’ve dropped 2 points at home. We are playing very well though - creating lots of chances - so it is going to come.
