I'm still expecting defeat, even though we started well against Bolton before the game was abandoned last week.

I do wonder if the lads from Trotter Chatter pod are a bit more realistic with their predictions and a lot less patronising than they were on their preview before the game last week.
We can play the best football in this league as shown away at your place. Or we can be utter dross and anyone can come to our place and turn us over. I f you stand off us and allow Santos to continually walk out with the ball and ping 60 yard passes we will eventually get behind you and get a couple of goals, but if you press us and get behind our wing backs you will get good goalscoring chances and it will become a even game.
Going to be windy 60mph gusts are not going to make it a game for the purists.
PS. Seems your fans are being allowed in the fanzone as a good will gesture.
All the best on that one.

Not got a clue how this will end

Pressing is our main style of play at the moment, so you're raising my hopes a little bit, but really not by much.

This is one of those free-hit games for us. We don't expect anything so if we get any points then it's a bonus for us.

No free hits this season anyone is capable of beating anyone. Even we won at Bolton and we're crap

Well, you say that, but that also means that hoofing it won't work that well either, so if anything it may mean that those who are more comfortable playing ball to feet will do better.

Hopefully we’ll go and attack Charlton. Appleton obviously under pressure so a decent start will hopefully get the home crowd on his back. We’ve looked knackered the last few weeks so a postponement Saturday probably helps for tomorrow.

Another good trip on a Tuesday night, hope we get Charlton on a Saturday next year as it’s an IFollow job tomorrow. Think we’re bringing 600 so half what we would have on a Saturday. 1-2 Cobblers.
This is spot on. A lot will come down to the start. The Valley is going to be toxic from the get go but if you get a good start it will be amplified.

I would normally agree, but we haven't beaten anyone in the top half yet.

I remember when we got promoted to this division when we were ahead of nearly all our rivals on games played. The Tuesdays when everyone was playing catch up were some of the best points of the season - watching everyone else drop points while having a couple of beers made for quite the enjoyable evening.

Hoping for more of the same tonight. Come on Bolton, Derby and Bristol Rovers!

I expect you to get something tonight. Get the feeling Bolton are the kind of team that can drop off and have an off night at home against teams down the bottom. We won there ffs, says it all. And if we can win there, anyone can!

No better chance than tonight. Just hope some actual footy can be played with this wind around
It’s going to be horrific conditions tonight and one very low on quality you’d imagine.

I assume the pitch is in good nick though?

Think we’ll lose this 2-0.

Yeah it looked decent for the weekend game, although not perfect as we had covers on before all this rain.
Last season we played Plymouth in the tinpot cup game in similar conditions and it wrecked the pitch for the rest of the season.
Its about time we beat you, no wins in 6 games against you and last time we won was 2016.
I'll go score draw maybe 1-1. we always score and concede - good for BTTS accy bets

Get innnn. Dreadful staggered offside trap from Charlton, great ball by Bowie and cracking finish from Simpson. Boos ringing round the Valley.

Great, first our only goalscorer Martin isn't in the squad, then our best CB goes off injured then we conceded straight after. Ffs

McGowan makes amends, cuts a lovely ball back to Super Sam Hoskins who dispatches from 12 yards. 14 for the season for him now.

Started much the same as we did in the abandoned match - on top and creating chances. But a horrible mistake gifts Bolton the lead and we've looked miles away since. Oh well.

No way we should be behind here but that's what happens when you making shocking mistakes at the back and fail to take your chances.

I'm so sick of writing "poor game between 2 poor sides" but yet again, that's what this is.

To be fair any chance of an actual game of football happening has not been helped by some crazy gusty wind happening, but still.

I think I'd take a point now on the basis of what I've seen, but Wigan look far from world beaters.

Trouble is, when no-one can predict where the hell their aerial balls are going to end up, I reckon that someone could end up scoring a terrible, terrible goalmouth scramble once someone puts in a cross that gets taken by the wind in a weird direction.

That might work in either side's favour.

But if anyone does win it, I feel it's going to be limited to a 1-0 either way.

Cheltenham score and the offside decision is fucking horrific. By a distance, the worst one I've ever seen. I count 5 players playing Lloyd onside!!

Lloyd goal ruled offside when he was 2 or 3 yards on. Can't wait for the apology in a few days, that'll make up for it. Useless fucking twats.

We are definitely having a little drop off last couple of games. Poor at the weekend and not much better today. Lacking any fluency. Had a couple of moments but Cheltenham should be at least level. I don’t mind Iredale as a left back but I never think we look as solid with him at left centre back. We just don’t seem to have the same organisation as we do when Geth or Forrester are playing.

Yeah I thought he looked on. There were 4/5 Cheltenham players behind him that looked off
