Get your facts right, the majority of our rearranged games are due to postponements. The only one rearranged because of the cup was against you, and it was drawn.
We just aren't good enough
If 34 points from the last 15 games is badly affected form Tranmere Rovers must have been amazing before that. They weren't, so more bullshit from our resident clown.

Is McKeown's name definitely pronounced McEwan? Heard it pronounced like that by multiple commentators yet it isn't spelt anything like that.

That's usually how that name's pronounced - just one of them Scottish quirks, I think.

I mean it's spelt more like McEwan than say apple or something. And more to the point, is McEwan even spelt like McEwan is pronounced?

Well I don't care how people often pronounce his name, that is with a silent K. I say MaCKeown and that's it. And this reminds of other silly nonsense like what and what not we're supposed to say, and a good example is 'down the road' vs 'up the road'. I deal with such things in a logical manner and wherever I happen to be at the time. If I'm in Manchester and I'm talking about Dover then it's 'down the road'. If vice versa then I say 'up the road'.

McEwan is pronounced Macyouin. Easy peasy this stuff ;)

ps - I recall Richard Money once saying 'them lot down the road' (ie Luton Town) when the two sides were in the connie, and some people on our forum were perplexed because 'down the road' means 'in the future'. A load of nonsense IMO.

You correct on the down/up to wherever. People that say they're going down to Leeds from London for example are idiots.

My facts are right......You have played Sat/Tues every week since the new year bar postponed games.
Your first 11 is as good as any team in this league.....You have not had that 11 out the last couple of weeks.
Same as FGR......

We weren't bad last night, overall we battled for a point but the issue is our lack of quality. We're reliant on Matt scoring as no one else will, and we aren't creating much. Mansfield looked decent, will probably be a bit disappointed not to have won given how they came on strong in the second half, so keeping a clean sheet was a good effort.

Tbh we aren't a top 3 side on paper, especially at the minute. I'm starting to look at the gap to 8th, we have a decent cushion currently but some tough games coming up.

Massive game Saturday, Bolton must fancy their chances. We need to be bang at it and hope Bolton don't turn up.

Atleast you’ve got Matt to score (take note SoC) as you can see we are decent, but lack that quality in the final third, but our 5th choice striker in the summer is now our one and only so I suppose that’s understandable.

I’m on the understanding that the money saved on maynard and cook is going to next season from several folk well in contact wise, and if that’s the case so be it.

Calculated risk as we weren’t going to go up and the risk of going down was minute. It’s pretty dull in fairness and as you said last night we’d be on 50 odd by now if we had them.

I can confirm that it is as my wife works in a jewellers and James and his wife both bought their wedding rings from there and they both pronounced it McKewan, before that I’d always said it as it was spelled.

Is he related to Martin Keown? Or should that be Martin Kewan?

Sorry but i dont see it. This year this league is awful with a lot of the big hitters under performing no more so than us.

Next season you may have Bolton,Bradford Wigan Salford competing for the same players you will go for.
Anyone decent will get offered to those first, yet again you will pick up the cast offs.

Clough and your new CEO are not there Fathers and Grand fathers respectfully
You need to build like Exeter if you are to get out of lge2

I don't think I ever said he'd definitely be a bad signing, just that he wasn't good for us and at a few other places. Fair play to him, he's had a good season. I can't get them all bang on unfortunately.

Marcus Maddison you moron. The player you said was going to take League 2 by storm. Do you remember him.

Oh yes. He isn't at Peterborough any more because they got rid of him for being more trouble than he is worth. Then Charlton fobbed him off so he could be a waste of space somewhere else.

I can't imagine McKeown is going to want to play in the conference next season. What's his wages like?

I can't imagine there'll be many Town fans that want him to play for us next season regardless of what level we're at. He'll be one of our highest earners for sure. Hopefully we can trick someone into thinking he's still a top keeper at this level and bring in someone cheaper who is less dodgy. Great servant for the club, massive respect for him from when he could have gone from us in the Conference to Peterborough (I think it was?), but chose to stay and rectify a playoff mistake. However, his time is done here hopefully.

My Son is best friends with a Nephew of Fenty and his friend told him last year (14 years old so best to take it with a pinch of salt) that our two highest earners at that time were McKeown and Charles Vernam with one on 4k per week and the other 4.5k per week. Can’t remember which was which but this would also mean that Fenty goes around idly discussing finances with kids so it is probably just a kid trying to impress by chatting bollocks.
