Don't boil the Beer. This is very important with Grzaniec Piwo.

Bottle of beer (works with Lager but happy beers are better)
2 or 3 cloves
Half a sick of cinnamon
Orange slice or other citrus fruit.
Teaspoon or two of honey

Heat beer and add other ingredients and simmer. It's a lovely winter warmer that comes from Poland.

Used to work with an old Polish gentleman loading bread vans and it got cold with very little cover and a few slugs helped.

Now that sounds really southern, And Polish.

Doesn't sound anywhere near alcoholic enough for me. I do almost the same recipe with mulled wine but pour a load of brandy or whisky in there. Couple of them and you're flying.
Now thats proper northern, Shaken not stirred.

I
It'll of been those fans who never stepped foot in The Vic when we were non league fodder and have suddenly found their way back now we're Football League.
I,ve come across loads of them in my time, Unfortunately.

Unfortunately I agree.
As long as we don’t get hammered by Rochdale & Scunthorpe, then it would be panic stations.
Don't write your chances off lads, we haven't been the same team at home with only one league win so far; but then again some team might be in for a hammering!

Apparently there was always a bit of needle in vale v Walsall games back in the 70s and 80s but my first game was probably the late 80s so I don't remember any of that. They're nowhere close to us in relative terms as a local derby. It's probably an hour away on the m6.

I'm a bit confused why the Walsall manager and players are pumped up? It's just another league 2 game isn't it? Smith is the greatest at winding up an opposition player, he'll pull, stand on toes, grapple until the opposing player loses their cool. That could work in our favour.

As I said previously, with our 2 best strikers available I'd see this as comfortable but with that slight doubt over whether any of the replacements are good enough, it's a little bit more difficult to call. Our midfield is generally excellent and apparently Rochdale managed to easily cut through at the weekend, so that could be an area of joy alongside our excellent wingbacks of worrall and gibbons.

We need to knock it around how we are capable and not lump it. If we do, I feel our quality is superior.

38 miles apparently. For us that would be our closest game by some distance!

Doesn’t sound too appealing to be honest.

With being right in the heart of the country, we have a ridiculous amount of teams within 50 miles !
Years ago Walsall rivalry was as big as Stoke apparently but since i've been going in 2001 its been a nothing game, Crewe bit of needle all be it more from their end, Wrexham in the early 00's was spicy and Shrewsbury during the Adams era but it was one of those that died off.

Should make a good atmosphere at least I guess tonight.

There certainly was in the 80s always trouble when we met calmed down a lot over the last 20 years though.

Aye, just slightly before my time but apparently used to be at its worst when we’d head down to your old Fellowes Park ground.

Amoo up top with Politic running at them from deep. I think I like the sound of this against their defence. Hopefully it plays out as good as it seems on paper.

Despite our run of poor form we've yet to be well and truly dispatched. Tonight is when it happens. 4-0.

Time for Walsall’s annual/inevitable victory at vale park.
We always fall apart around this time of year.
Hope I’m proved wrong!

Couple of knocks from Saturday, so Jimmy Keohane replaces Aidy White at Left Wing Back, and Stephen Dooley in for Aaron Morley in midfield. A goalie and six young midfielders/forwards on the bench.

Rovers stick with the side who finished Saturday. Geriatric bench, so have to hope the starting xi can deliver.

Don’t know what’s up with Mansfield but it’s been the worst 5 minutes of the season, we don’t know how to tackle or kick a ball.

Well that's game over, just so easy.

1 point gained from losing positions, another loss for us.

We've been abysmal as well lads. Dunna worry.

Can't string two passes together thus far. Walsall had one or two low key chances but nothing majorly worrying. Better side though, it has to be said. Their fans in fine voice too.

The players we have can't even do the basics right, they can't even track a runner. We would lose to most Vanarama National teams.

We are so doomed.

1-0 Walsall. Absolutely gifted on a plate. Not deserved in the slightest. Just as we had a spell on top for the last 5 as well.

Lose this and I'm actually concerned for the first time this season.
