Weeknights under the lights, you can't beat it. An all too rare experience for me nowadays due to evening shifts at Sainsbury's. Holiday booked for both weeknight league matches starting with Accy tomorrow.

I’ve been to watch west didsbury and chorlton, it’s the other side of the mersey from work (the other side of jackson’s boat) they’ve a good little setup there.
Yeah, they're my Manchester team. I've had a season ticket for the last few years but not bothered this year as I live a bit further away now.

I know our midweek attendances can be a tad on the poor side at times but I'll be well disappointed if no more than 4,000 of our own supporters show up tomorrow night
I reckon the gate will be more like 7,000.
Ticket prices and the club/Police banning unaccompanied u18s in the GRE will keep attendances low. The GRE would have been full tonight, but more likely only be half full.

Yep, the club are doing their level best to drive away supporters at a time when they should be doing everything to encourage them back down. If we crack 4,000 I'd be surprised.

I think it will be around the 4000 mark for home supporters, but it really should be 5000 + for a game like this.

Are away fans stuck up in the top tier at MK now? Been years since we played there

Let me know for Saturday!

We‘ve asked for a third allocation after selling 1879 to date. With their large away capacity why do they release in batches.

It normally depends on how many the away team ask for

Standard home win, both teams to score on paper

Wrexham being Wrexham, probably drop points though

Fair enough. But there’s also POTD. What if we sell 2500 tickets and another 1000 turn up on the day. Unlikely, but you get my drift.

I'm pretty certain the "ban" (which isn't the clubs fault and is unfortunately an over the top measure by a pathetic police force who let away fans do as they please whilst having it in for home fans) was/is just an excuse until we got the local home games out of the way. November will more than likely see it lifted as even the Directors are furious with it and have lobbied to the police constantly. I'm not going into another rant aimed at Mark Roberts but the prick is useless, he's on record making incredulous allegations towards wider football fans in this country and should be put out to pasture if his force can't police a smattering of young fans properly. Cheshire Police have had it in for us, Chester and Macclesfield over the years. Imagine if they had to police genuine big clubs?

£27 as I've consistently said is disgraceful for League Two football and prices have exactly doubled in 20 years when we were a Championship side. Yes, I get inflation and the rising costs associated with football clubs and any football club charging it should be ashamed. But you know what else it's down to? The rampant overspending by many clubs in the lower leagues. We shouldn't be seeing obscene wages being paid in the third, fourth and fifth tier, but that's the way the game has gone and, until a harder salary cap comes in, and it will eventually, then these ridiculous prices are unfortunately here to stay. Simple economics. I don't agree with it but that's unfortunately where we're at. We've got no sugar daddy to make ticket prices cheaper and our income streams are expanding but not exactly at a quick rate. So the club have gone with the short-term approach in order to "keep up with the Jones'" to the best of their ability.

Personally, I'm in favour of hard salary caps and hard admission price caps at this level because that really will grow the game long-term and could potentially allow clubs to expand infrastructure to grow without spunking £5K a week on a dogshit centre forward with one good season under his belt. If gates continue to grow at the rate they've grown since COVID, more clubs will have to look at expanding stadiums or building new stadiums. Football is almost as popular as it was in the post-war years which was its true peak, but we're in a better position now to keep fans coming to the grounds than we were back then.

It'll never happen though cos a lot of fans in this country are as complicit as owners and directors when it comes to one-upmanship, greed and self-interest rather than seek collective action (like Continental fans do) and force the powers that be to change. And when people say it's not possible, look at what happened the moment the European Super League was announced...

Demetriou starting is excellent news. Tabiner being injured is less than ideal but hopefully won't be out the side for long. Apart from no Tabiner, pretty much at full strength. Midfield have to perform tonight too.

Not sure what Wild is doing with this constant rotation, completely confused by our lineup. We are struggling for goals so it makes sense to give a strike partnership a number of consecutive games together.

Can't get too excited about us hosting Colchester this evening. Looks like we've an attacking starting 11 but we just haven't really clicked like we all hoped we would at the beginning of the season.

Still expect a home win though because Colchester appear to be terrible at the moment and we are due a 'bit of luck'!

our big news tonight is Jordan Davies starting instead of Lee. Lee is brilliant but has looked like he needs a rest recently. Jordan is excellent on his day.

Sutton look like a tribute act to all the bruising non league teams we've played over the last 15 years.

I thought that, more often than not, we were playing quite well this season and looked like a good young side with a lot of promise. Should have had more points on the board than we did after a tough run of fixtures and quite a few late goals conceded, quite a lot of points dropped from winning positions. It felt like a 'project' that we could get behind and feel optimistic about the next couple of years.

But since the Notts County game at the end of September, we've been woeful and suddenly we're managerless and look set for another terrible season. It's all very strange.

MK Dons should be 3-0 up already.
