Make or break for us this week, two home games, while Dale & the Gills have two away
If we don’t get at least 3 points,we might as well give up now.

Think we'll win this personally. We struggle against the direct sides who lump it to a target man and try to turn the game into a scrap.

Whereas we produced our best performance of the season against Salford who like to play football. Swindon sound a similar team to Salford so should play into our hands.

2-0 Cook and Chapman with a long overdue goal.

I think you'll win mate.
You're usually the confident Carlisle fan!? Don't know why you're downbeat on it, I can never call us either way personally, all our games are fine margins really. I don't duck predictions, just don't know where you're lack of confidence comes from. I know you've got a stretched squad but if anything I get the impression you've almost got a tight bunch who all know each others roles etc.

We controlled the possession against you first half, and then second half you had about three 6 foot 3 strikers who you just kept lumping it to.

Salford were tidy in spells Saturday but created fuck all when the dust all settled. They reminded me of us.

Fair point. Let's hope Swindon come and try play unlike teams like Stockport etc.

Looks like we’ve got a few more missing tomorrow night. Can’t seem to get a settled side at the moment and would expect more changes again tomorrow. Sherring and Koiki latest to pick up knocks.
Finished up at Stevenage with an 18 year old and a 19 year old right back either side of Jon Guthrie at centre half.
Hoskins 50/50 so hopefully he can come back in.

We’ll try and play alright. Overplaying is our weakness - especially at the back. If you’re a fan of fanny football you’re in for a treat.

Saying that, there’s no reason why we can’t win this - if our strikers can put away the chances. Could be 2 or 3 changes from Saturday.

Just needs to watch the footage of the 8th October Rail Strike massacre to know what to do at the University of Bradford Arena pal.

Get the ball down, pass them off the park which quietens and frustrates the big home gate. Then just control the game second half and try and deal with the high balls to their big lads up top.

I think you’re overhyping your performance mate. You played ok but it was our worst performance at home this season by a country mile.

You nowhere near passed us off the park, you were one of the most direct sides we’ve faced playing it up to that number 19 of yours at will and it worked a treat tbf. Also your shirt pulling was the best I’ve seen.

Aye! Nowhere near passing us off the park.I'd have them as the worst side to visit us this season. Walsall and Stevenage were both direct, but they both looked better than Stockport. Probably the most disappointing performance since Hughes took over, for me. Big day for them, too.

We tend to overplay a little bit at times. We love to fanny about at the back with the ball for ages, especially at home. Seems like we're just a copy and paste of each other.

The same fixture last season was a decent watch, wasn't it? I thought we played well for large parts of that. No Mckirdy to give us the run around this time! Still think it'll be really tough tomorrow night. Like I said in a previous post I'd be happy with a point if we can beat Crawley.

We do have a tight bunch due to all the injuries, but in forward areas we have less than a tight bunch. One fit and available forward in Kristian Dennis and even he is only just back from a few weeks out. Plus Sho Silva but he’s only fit enough for 10 or 20 mins at the moment. The rest are either injured or suspended. It’s a dire situation.

Carver is right to fear a defeat in this match. Playing over an hour on Saturday with 10 men may have sapped our energy and I fear there may be a big hang over just 3 days later given the fact we don’t have any players to rotate them with.

I’d take 0-0 right now but reckon it will be a 2 or 3 goal defeat.

Dennis good bet to score, ex-player law and all that.

I can see there's injury issues there, I hope you're right about sapped energy but I think you and Carver are teaming up for a rope a dope tactic here lads.

You know what, I'd take a draw too. I'd shake hands on it. Ball ache for me getting there tomorrow, will do well to make kick off. We need to keep ticking off and grinding out some points until we inject some pace into our team in January. Seen your lot have already sold 900 plus, great following that's going to be on a Tuesday night.

Funnily enough you mention taking 0-0's, you Carlisle lads long in the tooth enough to remember the last day in 2006? A lovely convinient 0-0 which cemented you as Champions and us as staying up. Two fans have never enjoyed a 0-0 together in such harmony before.

Don't think we'll go as far as the pitch invasions but yeah I'd shake on a 0-0.

I would agree but we travel in hope. Was cracking to pick up 3 points against a poor Colchester last Saturday although I suspect Mansfield will be far more of a test. Unlike previous visits, we are gonna have a couple of hours pre-game to enjoy the delights of Mansfield. Any decent boozers serving tidy grub?

A job well done by Stocky tonight.
Nothing against the Bradford lads on here, I don't want any of them taking it personally. But yes, I've read it back and it's a professional masterclass to Cas starting unnecessary and incorrect beef about us being direct. I would say we overplay if anything. Knocking it long to Wootton is a fucking horrendous idea, he's crap.

Highlights of this supposed Barcelona 09 vs Wimbledon 88 affair for those interested (which is nobody)

Settled in a bit now, our best centre half. We don't know our best team or formation though so I feel for him a bit. One week he's in a three, next in a two and always with different partners.

Good in the air, decent on the ball, bit suspect when getting ran at for me. But good for this level. A partner of his calibre next to him and we'd be looking good so I'd say he's probably been one of our better signings.

Railway Inn on Station Street should meet your needs and Adamstag usually goes in there, but he might give this game a miss as he has to travel from Manchester you know.

I do remember it. That’s around the time I started watching Carlisle.

I may be wrong but I’m sure we were already champions going into that. I seem to remember us sealing the deal at Rochdale the week before.

Sadly with it being a midweek match i won’t make it, whereas i’m sure you’ll enjoy the delights of mansfield, the railway (one of my locals) will be a good shout for real ale and proper home made food, oddly or not it’s near the train station.

it’s about a 10 minute walk from the ground and you’ll always get a friendly welcome.

Alternatively you’ll get a few in the sandy pate bar behind the west stand if not showing colours or the pub/bar under the old brewery is decent also.
