Yeah not a good game, although to give Lincoln their due they are doing a good job of stifling us. Feels like one of those games where a mistake settles it.

Land of the giants this Lincoln lot. Nobody under 6 foot allowed through the door apparently.

Comedy own goal.

Very tight game in the first, neither side particularly threatening much if at all, not much else to say about the first 45!

Second half very similar, neither side looked like scoring to be honest, both sides just cancelled each other out and lacked quality throughout the entirety, then what goes and happens with pretty much final kick of the ball, Wycombe score! That’s three 1-0 defeats on the trot and we deserved a point out of each and every one, yet we somehow managed to get nothing at all.

Not scored in our last three games which is a new issue because beforehand scoring goals was never a issue, it’s down to a few reasons, obviously Gregory is our best striker and he’s been injured but Will Evans is currently off the boil big time. Lucas Akins is such a hilariously big downgrade on Gregory, and him and Evans upfront just doesn’t seem to work at all.

A bit like the Mansfield game, a very decent three points in a game that could have gone either way.

Damage done in a woeful woeful first half. Sam Tickle made a couple of cracking saves late on to secure Wigan the points but where the fuck was that second half performance in the first.

When you concede a complete fluke goal in the 93rd minute.

great.

Our next two games since we played you were pretty much the exact same, yet we’ve somehow been unfortunate to lose all three 1-0. They say the luck aspect evens its self out over a season, be nice to get some evidence of that in the next few weeks.

Wasn't pretty but we got the job done again at home as we always do, our record there since the takeover is otherworldly. Only 3 goals conceded there all season I think.

Lacking proper quality up front but the work rate of whoever plays there is always top.

If only our strikers could hit the target! Made it very difficult for you, as I expected, but it's pretty clear whilst we have numbers up front, we struggle for quality. We're comfortably a 7th-12th team, will be interesting what's planned for January.

I’d expect an avalanche of luck to come our way at some stage

Last minute tonight wasn't It? Massive sickner that.

Lewis Brunt would have been my man of the match tonight. Two starts and two very good performances for him this week.

Just absolutely sick of watching these poor Bolton displays, should have been a bog standard win after going 1-0 up against 10 men. always look vulnerable and just can't play with any consistency with a terrible defeat seemingly just round the corner. Matete in midfield was really terrible tonight in my opinion., but not just him, this team just doesn't gel and part from a couple of moments look totally disjointed.

Putting me off watching it at the minute now if I’m being honest.

Welcome to League 1, not going to be winning every week! I'm sure it won't be long before you're winning again.

Saying that to a Mansfield fan, is at best ridiculous mate!

Always been waiting, and expecting for us to hit a rough patch and get some losses trotted up, but if you watched us over these last three games you’d be dumbfounded at how we’ve lost them all 1-0. Just cannot catch a break at the minute, but the tide will turn eventually.

Ok we now have 3 fit defenders (1 CB) + another who was limited to 5 mins ‘if he had too’ on sat ending up playing 75 mins today. (We have 12 in total on the books)

Great.

Another frustrating one by the sounds of it. Numbers wise up front we're fine but as I said on Saturday, it lacks a bit of consistent quality, albeit there was no House tonight. We probably need a slight tweak up there in January and move a couple out on loan to, in theory, bring one with more quality in.

Been a difficult last four games, we've definitely deserved more than the two points we've picked up. Small margins and all that.

I think given we’ve a run of bolton away huddersfield home charlton away, rotherham home, peterborough away, reading away and bolton at home a point tonight would’ve been great for confidence.

To lose to such a bang average side in the night is absolutely galling.

Felt he was lucky to get away with that foul second half and not be sent off, I thought he was going. But then the first booking was very harsh in any case.

But yeah he saved us a few times with good interceptions, he rarely goes to ground tackling. Can't believe I'm seeing a Parky team with no O'Connor in it though.

Gregory is out for a few weeks so will miss Stevenage, Bolton, Huddersfield minimum. I’m not sure how we can circumvent this because Evans has been appalling without him, Akins is not a serious option upfront, nor is Waine as a starter. Maybe go back to one up front? I suppose this is what Clough gets paid for.

Always insisted Brunt is too good and will force his way in!

I’ll happily take a dodgey own goal at the minute, instead we are conceding from accidental shots!

Mansfield came for the draw (which is fair enough considering the absences in their side) and would have deserved it too, Clough set them up very well for that, very defensively solid and physical.

Our goal was pure jamminess for sure, we actually lost the Tinpot Trophy to a very similar goal from out of nowhere with the goalie totally unbalanced.

Probably the worst I’ve seen us this season, but Mansfield also deserve the credit for barely giving us a sniff.

Like i said in a whatsapp group - say we lost all 6 games in december, we’d have 24 points from 21 games which we’d have took before the start of the season.

We absolutely need another forward/AM in january and this will provide cloughs case.

Akins did well tonight but we need another version of him, i like ben waine but im struggling to see it if honest…

You’ve got that wrong big time mate, we are just toothless upfront at the minute. We started and finished pressing high trying to put you under pressure like your commo guys said early on. we just haven’t got much going for us offensively at the minute, it was both sides cancelling each other out not one setting up for a draw.

Clough never sets up for a draw pre-match, not his style at all, just isn’t how we play, in the modern game you don’t start with two strikers if you want a draw!

A horrendously poor game of football that wouldn’t have looked out of place a few divisions down. Both teams beyond poor but Burton are absolutely woeful. We managed 24 shots, without looking too likely to score but managed to nick a scrappy goal. The red card for the Burton player was really stupid from him and helped us on our way. We are way off it though. Play that poorly against anyone else and we definitely will not get 3 points

See, I thought Brunt was the weakest of the back 3 tonight and his last minute interceptions were often a result of him getting beaten by their forward.

McClean was excellent again. A rare off-day for Barnett yet he still could've had 2 assists.
