You all should be happy, HG's been sticking to his committment not to post on here until we win again and I know how much you all hate his pessimism, just imagine what he'd be saying right now. As it is, I doubt if we'll hear from him until the summer.

HG only moans when we're winning.

However he might still be right about us going part time though way things are going..

Mansfield's red card at the end seemed incredibly soft. Connor Wood went down like he'd been shot despite minimal contact?

I’d be pretty embarrassed if i were him, what a fraud of a player.

Sadly that happens in football too often now and i can’t say with any confidence a mansfield player wouldn’t have done the same

haha, ah that’s the one yeah.

That covid outbreak didn’t do you any favours
We can't really blame that anymore, it might have triggered a poor run of form but that poor form is now self-sustaining (as in I think it's psychological, you can just see our players don't expect to get anything and probably don't really want to be there, they're probably feeling as negative as our fans on here are). Just noticed we're now rock bottom of the form table.

It's a good job our owners are slow to act and don't like to sack managers because a lot of Carlisle fans on twitter calling for Beech to be sacked, which would be a terrible decision, it's not his fault we're in this situation.

Joss Labadie died at least four times tonight against us. It's a bloody miracle.

Terrible time for goals to dry up, we've scored 1 in 3 games and if we're honest that was a fluke.

Totally understand what we've had to do with Hoolahan, but we're through the relentless midweek schedule now, he's got to play every game going forward regardless of where it is and when it is. Rather play him 60 minutes each game than 90 one and 0 the next if that's what it takes.

Gut wrenching result tonight after the relief getting out of jail Saturday, just adds another 2 or 3 "must not lose" games to that awful streak of matches starting at Bolton next Tuesday, regardless of whether we do this again this Saturday or not.

Disappointing result, rested half the team and made 6 changes but we were solid throughout the game apart giving away a bad penalty, shame we can’t score though!

Started well against Bolton then scored an OG to hand them the initiative no complaints about the red card a reckless challenge Doyle first to react when ball came back off post made it 2-0 and game over Thought Bolton would of really gone to town on us then but they passed the ball about between back four for most of 2nd half quite happy to kill the game they might regret it if they lose out on promotion on goal difference

We were really poor tonight but won, again, 33 from 40 points since McCall left they said in commentary? I can’t complain, five wins on the bounce for the first time since 2004.

Labadie is the worst shithouser in this division (even when the likes of Matt Rhead and Danny Hylton were about)
I don't remember him being like that when he played for us, but maybe I had Tranmere tinted specs on back then.

I can't remember him at Tranmere myself, but definitely Newport and Dagenham

Newport play to a completely different set of rules, especially on that paddyfield, he fits in well there

What a good result that is. Southend certainly a far better side than the one we faced at Roots Hall, made it very difficult for us. Finally top of the league for the first time all season

He took a forearm smash to the face. I don't think his reaction was excessive whatsoever which is a criticism of this side that we're maybe a bit too nice sometimes. That said it was a harsh red as it didn't look like an elbow.

How would sacking Beech be a terrible decision?

Whenever a club sacks their manager in this league they always seem to go on and win the next couple of games and we desperately need six points to ensure our football league survival.

Poor performance tonight, but managed to come away with 3 points - we’ll take it.

The lads looked really tired - much like they did against Walsall at the weekend. It’s a tough one when you’re winning games left, right and centre; you’re gonna be a little hesitant to switch things, but the likes of Vernam and Cooke are on their arse.

Crankshaw was a little erratic tonight, so hopefully Gareth Evans is fit for the weekend. Better composure needed.

Our run continues. I honestly couldn’t tell you the last time we won 6-in-a-row (if we beat Bolton this Saturday), but can we all just take a moment to appreciate our form since T and S took over. I know us Chicken’s keep bleating on about it, but ...WOW.

What is it with Carlisle scoring first in games and then going on to lose?

They don't though, plenty of teams sack their manager and don't improve at all. Even if sacking Beech did somehow guarantee we win the next two games it wouldn't be worth it for what we lose. Summer can't come quick enough now, we just need this season to be over, and then maybe we can go again... have a summer where we don't have to change the entire squad, keep most of the squad we have together, make some improvements, go for promotion next season.

Can Walsall take Darrel Clarke back please? I wouldn't mind seeing my team have a shot on target before the end of the season!

As other posters have mentioned it was a scrappy one against Newport tonight but they’re the results that get you promoted especially seeing the Forest Green and Cambridge scores.

The last winning run we had we were playing really well and playing some superb stuff. Now we’re showing more grit and determination and winning without it being pretty. Shows how we can mix it up as a squad and that can only be a positive.

Anyway another 3 points and good to get the win without Vaughan on the pitch as well. On to Crawley on Saturday now!

He wasn’t a talented midfielder a bit wild in the challenge. Wonder what went wrong. We have had one or two skilled at amateur dramatics down the years though.

He seems to have sorted our dodgy defence out, condeded 3 in 4 games but at the expense of not having any attacking threat whatsoever,. And as for some of his selections tonight- Danny Whitehead, Theo Robinson?

If they are professional footballers ive got a 10 inch dick!!!!

Thank God that's over. Walsall came for a 0-0 and our strike force is impotent without Bowman. Zzzzzzzzxx
All a bit depressing Denzel, without our best forward players we look like a shadow of what we did prior to Xmas. We need Bowman and Williams and for the others to stay fit to fulfil the early season promise now, I am normally an optimist but getting a bit worried now !!. The thing with Bowman, is even when he has a drought, he takes defenders away from our other players who invariably find the net. He has been a big miss

James Vaughan apparently has serious bruising rather than a ligament injury and should be available fairly soon, which is great news for us. We did well in his absence tonight, but I think being without him for an extended period could cost us automatic promotion, not that it is guaranteed with him.

I thought Nugent did ok tonight, but a game against Newport was probably the worst match he could have chosen for his Rovers debut. It was pretty much impossible to string two passes together, albeit we defended extremely well and produced the only real moments of quality in the game.
