Just back. Still grinning from ear to ear.
The pies were magnificent as well.
My thoughts entirely when we saw the team. In retrospect, it was a masterstroke to have Smith and Tracey on the bench to raise the energy and quality in the final quarter.Take a draw based on our team tonight.
To a man they were magnificent, apart from HK, and even he put in the effort if not the qualityAbsolutely, I don’t expect anything out of tonight looking at that line up, our lb at rb, no Jones at cb, worman in for his 2nd start and let’s not even go their with knibbs starting!!
KTF
Not only that but Paul Mullin was with us and able to enjoy the thanks and banter with 133 travelling U's but was also able to see a bit of the spirit and enjoyment that the lads are generating and he's missing out on.The perfect away performance from us tonight. We soaked up 20 mins of pressure, and then scores a goal that will be goal of the season no questions asked. Once that went in there was only one team in it. Back to back wins and clean sheets will do very very nicely.
The pies were magnificent as well.
It looked good but didn't see how good or the quality of Jensen Weir's pass until I could watch it back from the camera on the opposite side of the pitch. Anything more than 2 or 3 points from the next 4 will be a bonus. Adding in a run to the 3rd round of the FA Cup would be what dreams are made of.Great win, great performance, half-strength, youth product with his first league goal and a goal of the season contender at that, 10th in the league, love it.
Tough run of games now but ultimately we've done what we needed to over the last 4 to give us a solid cushion going into that run.
Surprised how we suddenly took control of midfield and it felt like you backed off a bit as the first half progressed. After that you looked a one trick pony and the trick wasn't working. I know last season's team and manager have gone but that performance looked a couple of leagues away from a team that could take points from Ipswich and Plymouth and wins against Wednesday and Lincoln.I'd say it was an off night as we've been alright at home so far. However, you worked us out quite quickly and you didn't really need to get out of 2nd gear.
We were awful and it really reminded me of the old Bentley days at times. We barely played a pass all night and constantly looked for long switches which just didn't work.
Last night was a real reality check and we need to get to January and get some new centre backs in, the current crop aren't league 1 standard at all. We'll go down if we don't.
