That was when you wheeled out that fat robin mascot. Who was he again?
This one?

Wow, I thought it was just a standard fan. I guess the main reports aren't providing that detail.
allegedly it was the Morecambe chairman...... he's made a Rod for his back over this.... (not my line - but might give you an idea who it was)

Yeah, him - even our emaciated bluebird Bluey looks better than that.
The club was known as the Robins until some commercial bloke came in turn of the century and changed us to the Dragons. Rockin Robin was our old mascot and was found not so long ago.

Rockin Robin was class, the photo I given was him riding a bike round the pitch as the game was going on! Got told off by the ref as well. He had a missus, Tina Turffit and they had a kid but cant remember that mascots name :D

Kind of an interesting match tonight. Seems that Etherington has a chance at getting the Colchester job permanently, if it's not already a cast iron certainty. I'm not sure the Colchester players are actually very good but I've only watched a couple of matches and sometimes they seem better than at others.
Swindon have something to prove after the FA Cup fiasco, and aspersias (as Chanelle from big brother would say) of financial troubles.
Hard match to call. (I have called it, a 2-1 win for Swindon, but i kind of hope I'm wrong).

No ill will towards Etherington but I will always consider him a bit of a dick after quitting g us after three games.

Good luck to him.

I’m shocked and appalled that the biggest game of the night wasn’t included in the original post.

Epsom & Ewell v Sutton United in the Surrey Senior Cup

Good goal from Jake Young. Looking forward to having him back in Jan. Gives us a good option up top.

Lost to the worst team I’ve seen this season.

We are relegation fodder for sure.

Surely not. Not Swindon Town. They were Premier League like Oldham Athletic no way they get #stained

Reading a little bit into the BBC Leeds interview with sparks, I think we definitely are recalling him. When discussing how some players will want to leave in January and he wants a smaller squad he said something along the lines of 'We will be bringing in a striker and you can probably guess who that is'. I may be misquoting because of what I read into it.
Anyway, I only watched the first half but Young looked good, but it depends how Alexander will play, and I guess how many strikers he uses.
Also I thought both Swindon and Colchester looked ok, but like I say, didn't watch the second half. I guess Colchester are primarily interested in moving away from the bottom. Swindon probably hoping to be in the playoffs, which they would have been if they'd won.

Ridiculous comment. They weren’t the worst team we’ve played and we’re certainly not relegation fodder. We’re in a slump but relegation? Get serious

Think you’re deluding yourself. There is nothing about us. Still gifting chances and goals galore but now we’re not scoring and the midfield is virtually non existent. Obviously things aren’t going well behind the scenes and now we’ve got Charlie Austin offering out the fans at Colchester last night. The whole club is a shambles and the realisation that Clem is Power Mk2 - hardly surprising when the vice chairman is a convicted drug money launderer and another was once on Britain’s Most Wanted list. Can only hope rumours of a club sale are true but even if it is I have very little we will only attract another in the long line of chancers and gangsters.

Why is Swindon, Wiltshire of all places a magnet for "chancers and gangsters"?

I don't like seeing them plummet like this, we've already got enough big boys with off field troubles down at the wrong end of the table as it is.

Sparks and Alexander spoke for 9 hours and at length about the squad and each player, I think we can be certain this included loanees. Hopefully Alexander thinks he can get the best out of Young because Hughes certainly didn’t! Not bad going to a club where you have a guy who scored 30+ last season and can recall another striker already into double figures.

It’s not the place, it’s the club. God knows why we can’t attract a decent, honest owner. Perhaps now we own the ground it may be more appealing. Tbf, I’d say a number of lower league clubs aren’t being run as squeaky clean. When Power owned the club and it became obvious skeletons were ready to fall out the cupboard and our now esteemed vice chairman had a home visit and was beaten up in front of his wife and kids. He’s now set up some dodgy looking affiliation with a non existent club in Pakistan supposedly to tap the next Asian Messi. Looks more like a dodgy visa for money scheme. It’s never ending.

He wasn't offering the fans out. I was there. There were 3 or 4 youngsters that were going over and beyond what can reasonably be expected in terms of slagging the players off for a poor performance. Calls for putting in more effort and pride in the shirt along with countless unnecessary expletives. Everyone put the effort in and as for pride in the shirt what do people expect. These are 4th division players who have reached their level and are just looking to keep their jobs. The exceptions unfortunately are Kemp and Young who are destined for division 3 and Austin who is on a slippery slope that will invariably lead to his retirement in the summer. Also worth noting that we are on a 6-7 game slide when prior to that we were 8-9 games unbeaten with a chance of going top if the game in hand had been won. So again saying "there is nothing about us" is completely, and not for the first time with you, over the top.

A heroic 2-1 thrashing. Only one player with any first team experience (our 4th choice goalkeeper) and the rest of the team were teenage academy players.

But I’ll take it and bask in the glory of 3 wins in a row in all competitions
