Wrexham will beat us, we’re not at our best and clearly missing Oates, Kilgour and Quinn. Think we’ll get overpowered by the front line of Wrexham

If we can beat Sheffield Wednesday we can beat Stockport County. Obviously, though, we won't.

Tough to predict this game vs Gillingham. Gills look solid but un spectacular. Our home form is pretty formidable but we're going to lose at some point and this could be one of those 1-0 away win type games. A few Crewe fans I've seem wanting fairly drastic changes. Part of me can see why, we've looked weak in midfield recently, tge keeper looked abit shaky and Nevitt probably deserves a start. But despite all this we were still unbeaten last month and I think for now we would be daft to break what's just about not broken.

Crewe 2-2 Gillingham (Long, Tabiner, Bonne, Lapslie) 3,640 (250 Gills)

If we play like we did yesterday it should be a really good competitive match, if we set up to counter your attacks (which I think we probably will) then I can’t see anything but a Crewe win.

Clough v Parkinson is like one of those dinosaur king kong stop motion films from the 60s where they batter each other to the point of surrender before one gives up and gives a really miserable interview to local radio complaining about injuries or refs.

Can they both fucking lose?

Tomorrows home game against wrexham is a complete sell out across the board.

Should be a good atmosphere!

I like Nigel Clough. Really good manager, gets Mansfield playing some great stuff.

We could probably still beat Sheffield Wednesday the way their looking if we were playing them tomorrow night tbf…

Don’t think Stockport are all that though, yes they hammered Wrexham but other then that their results aren’t anything special. We gave Notts a good game the other week so no reason we can’t do similar against these, we are a lot better away.

Mark Hughes is a dinosaur manager, I find it difficult to call Clough one considering we play great football and score loads of goals.

No settling for a point with this Mansfield side this season, our subs in the second half on Saturday away at Gillingham both strikers. Unfortunately our one downside this season is missing sitters.

We really should have beaten Sheffield Wednesday with pretty much our second string earlier this season in the league cup. Dominated for 65 and they nicked last minute goal to eqaulise and they won on penalties.

Not sure about Tuesday, the squad is stretched. Despite 4 wins on the spin, there really should be more to come from us in the next month or so with 6 or 7 key players pencilled in for a return from injuries.

In truth, we're not out of 2nd gear yet and we're only 3 points off the top. The only game we haven't been the better side in so far has been Mansfield.

Stockport manager was under pressure from his own fanbase a few games ago.

Was obvious you’d kick on again.

No complaints on dinosaur Hughes but not having the Parky one, four promotions at four different clubs isn’t a fluke, not compared to Clough who ‘plays nice stuff’ but did well at Burton forever ago then’s bobbed around a few clubs an hour from his house without ever achieving anything.

Yeah he was, he's done a great job to get a patched up squad who keep getting new injuries every week to re-jig and win games. Louie Barry and Olaofe are in great form but if we can get Wootton, Powell, Hippolyte, Camps, Knoyle, Byrne and Touray back in the mix, our squad could look very strong. Rydel and Stretton our the season with ACL's too.

I can’t imagine anyone with any knowledge of football would call clough a dinosaur manager, there’s few better in the lower leagues.

He's miserable, monotone and dour in interviews but he's far from a dinosaur manager, and there are plenty out there to choose.

His career has been on the decline for a long time now but I strongly believe Mansfield are lucky to have him and I'm surprised combined with a generous chairman and time that promotion has not come sooner from L2. This is the year IMO.

Few better at this level.

Crewe away is always a tricky one for us, don't often get too much up there. Happily take a point and come home unscathed.

We’ve got a really important run of games now for our season.

Tough start and of course there are a number of fans calling for hurst to be sacked, the majority being those without a brain, a short memory, or just keyboard warriors, but we now go Into a run of playing teams where we really should be getting results going our way more often than not, and if we don’t those voices are going to get louder and louder.

Barrow have started well, again, but it is a game we can’t afford to lose, and if we cut out the silly mistakes at the back, we should expect to win.
Not calling for Hursts head (yet) but it’s a bit of a lazy generalisation to group fans wanting him out like that. Our start has been poor, we’ve been tactically dreadful at times and we’ve stopped being good at the things that made us a ‘Hurst side’ - (not conceding many, good away form).

We 100% have better players now, so for the first time you have to look at the manager for why it isn’t working, because it quite clearly isn’t. The hope is that we’ve had the odd bit of bad luck and a tough round of fixtures, although if you keep losing, you should expect those sides to be above you.

Huge month for Hurst this, and I really hope we turn it around because the players still excite me.

Gillingham is our biggest test of the season so far.

We've proved we're free scoring. We've proved we can score late goals and come back from multiple deficits. But can we break down a side who I expect to play on the counter and make it very hard for us to break them down tomorrow?

No doubt about it, we're up against the best defence in the league tomorrow. I'm not even going to underestimate them because, despite being the anomaly amongst the top sides in this league for their lack of scoring, they're clearly good at what they do. 6 wins despite only scoring 9 goals is pretty impressive even if the football isn't easy on the eye.

Think whoever scores first wins this game if I'm honest.

Notts County fans. Are away tickets available as POTD. We’ve sold out our allocation. its not for me, I’m soaking up the sun atm.

Can't see any reason why they wouldn't be, the stand holds loads - think there's normally a little booth thing right by the away end you can get them from.

On the off chance that my train to London for work is cancelled tomorrow, like it was today I might brave the 50 odd mile drive up the M1 now I've found out you can POTD. Any recommendations for parking close to the ground Notts fans? (I don't mind a walk if there are better/safer options)
