Bugger. Didn’t deal with yet another long ball and we’re 1 down. Not been a good game of football. Has all come from a nonsensical offside decision. Monthe in 10 yards of space, Hylton and the other centre half challenge for it, Hylton flagged offside. Utterly baffling.

We have been dreadful so far. No team really created anything other than the goal which was so avoidable. Walsall playing the percentages which you would expect from a team struggling with form and confidence. We have done nothing going forward, look like a team missing the leagues top scorer. One thing that has occured in recent weeks is we have A) made changes when things are clearly not working and B) come from behind to secure points. Hopefully Brady acts after that first 45.

Well that came out of the blue, cracking strike by young Faulkner and now Curle has taken Umerah off

To be fair maybe I’m being a bit harsh, 2 18 year olds were our replacements today and a fella who’d been injured for 6 weeks. Plenty out injured. Ah well.

Important 3 points tonight v Newport. Deserved win. Their keeper was dodgy as fuck. Nearly 10,000 for a Tuesday night is pretty good.

On to Stevenage Saturday. We’ll piss that!

good results for us with northampton and donny losing.

Not worried by the current top 2, it’s going to be close!

Massive result that and hopefully we start to get some momentum.

Main thing for me is that under Hartley we would’ve crumbled and gone on to lose that one once Donny equalised. Bit of fight in the side now.

Genuinely the better team, and apart from a defensive cock up for their goal and a few pot shots from Molyneux from distance, Doncaster didn’t really create anything

I’m undecided on whether it’s good for us that you’ve got your first win ahead of Saturday.

On one hand you’ll be full of confidence, but on the other hand if you were winless it would be guaranteed that we’d give you your first win.

Well deserved three points, had a shaky 20-25 minutes in the second half and Donny got on top, but over the 90 I think we deserved it.

Umerah and Hamilton were a menace, I don't think Hamilton missed a header all game, even Euan Murray at right back had his best game in a Pools shirt.

Fucking gerrin!

Thought Sylla and Crawford were brilliant in midfield as well, battled non stop

Won 3-0 vs Sutton. Good win and comfortable in the end. First 30 minutes, nothing happened, neither side mustered a shot on goal but at the end of that period we managed to find ourselves 1-0 up. Deep free kick from Gilbey found the head of Sweeney on the edge of the box, guided goal-wards, next to no power on it and it just bobbled through the area and into the back of the net.

Rest of the half I'd say Sutton were more threatening but they never troubled Ashby-Hammond, multiple pot shots from range, the closest they came was when one such pot shot was turned over the bar by their number 9.

We scored right at the beginning of the second half and it was pretty routine after that. Looped ball into the box by Roberts, Rose wins his header forcing the keeper into a save, he parries straight into the path of Norris who thrashed it home to make it 2-0. After that we had a couple of half chances before we countered for a third, we had a 4 on 2 situation, Rose found Norris, he took a touch inside and guided his effort around the defender and passed the keeper to cap a decent evening for us, was a nice goal.

Evening ended on a bit of sour note, first Norris had to be subbed early after getting a boot in the face from one of the Sutton centre backs and unfortunately a serious looking leg injury for Barden resulted in 15 added minutes of stoppage time. Was a fairly innocuous collision between two Sutton players in the centre of the pitch and you could tell straight away something was wrong with Barden. Hopefully both players are back playing soon.

A win at last Northampton didnt offer much until the last 20 minutes hear they are missing a few players though scrappy game just pleased to get 3 points i think Hylton would annoy me if he was our player let alone the opposition seemed more interested in moaning than doing anything else.

still seething about that result friday as we should have have danced off into the distance long before, but all of a sudden you get an unexpected lift from somewhere and it can be a godsend.

if curle was available in the summer or begs the question whatever made your board make the mystery signing it did in the first place, but all of a sudden 4 points from 2 top sides and you’re looking up.

This league is crazy this season.

Accurate view. We never looked like scoring or even creating a proper chance. Think you looked very strong and solid, zero given away. Played us at a good time too. You’ll not likely blow teams away but not many will beat you easily either. We are now under big pressure to keep the home form or we could easily slip into trouble.

Barden got an open leg fracture according to our forum so we won’t see him again this season, squad getting very stretched already.

Apart from a dodgy 20 mins spell in the second half,Pools were excellent.Yes,its long ball stuff, but to a pattern, not just hoping for the best.
The difference in Hamilton & Murray since Curle came in,is unreal.
We’ve also gone from a bunch of fannies, to a physical outfit, who don’t mind roughing up the opposition & long may it continue.
The atmosphere was great & a manager that interacts with the fans, happy days.
I'm still buzzing this morning.

Aye it was banged up to Hamilton and Umerah but one was winning the headers for the other to get on the end of, before we just had Umerah winning things with no support, gotta stick with the pair of them going forward.

Great to see Molyneux twat that last minute free kick miles out for a goal kick :gr:

Same set of players, night and day difference.

All about attitude, Players now want to stand up and be counted.
Hamilton has now grown a foot taller, And a foot wider.
Looks as strong as an ox as does Umerah.

If i was a CB i would not want to face those 2.
