The 1st of 3 home games and an awkward one against Lincoln. While confidence will have gone up after the weekend, it's back to reality facing a good team. Hopefully the subs who came on in the 2nd half against Crewe will be either starting the game and will feature at some stage. A draw will be a descent result 1-1

We ended Ipswich chances of the play off's on Saturday and I'd like us to do the same tonight at home to Wycombe.

We were terrible at their place a few weeks back but I feel tonight's game will be a little different. We'll freshen things up after Saturday but I don't think it will be a good watch with both teams not giving either much and be difficult to break down.

Wycombe stayed over last night which I thought was a bit odd given it's a night game and not that far so obviously taking this one seriously.

I think it will be a draw 1-1.

Crewe at home. Easy peasy lemon squeezy, just like Doncaster was. :ffs:

We had just come off the back of losing Fisher, O'Riley and possibly even all 3 of the loanees that got recalled that day. I wouldn't compare too much.
To be beaten by us, you had a really shite day

Donny should have been 3-0 up at our place but didn't take their chances. They made one mistake and we went 1-0 and you could see they would never get back into it once we scored.

We're terrible against teams below halfway especially the bottom 6 and even more on Tuesday nights!
We've lost to Morecambe and Crewe away on Tuesdays and Wimbledon and Doncaster at home Tuesdays.
We're a very inconsistent and frustrating team, sadly not a good one or we'd be a lot higher than 18th , regardless of our horrendous injury list this season.

Bolton away. We've not played for 16 days, and we're notoriously bad coming off a break.

2-0 Bolton, which will kill off any lingering playoff hopes, and focus minds towards the summer. Hopefully then we'll concentrate on giving more game time to players who will likely still be with us next season, rather than the loan players who will say be saying bye-bye.

Nope we will concede our defence to soft and missing both wing backs injured along with Dempsey and Dapo
1-1 dull as dishwater ticket unused for tonight

Very even in terms of play but we’ve had the better chances. Tight game. We really miss do miss Fossey on the right. I like Sadlier but I think he would be much better in that 10 role than right wing back.

Pretty convincing 4-1 tonking of Cambridge.

I don't know if it's true, but our commentator said that that was a little bit of an "experimental" side for CUFC, as they're pretty much on the beach by now and looking to next season.

If that's true, it's not an experiment I suspect they'll rush to repeat, as they got cut to shreds for most of the first half. We scored 3 in the first 60 minutes, and hit the woodwork another 3 times.

At the time, it felt like perhaps they were trying to negatively balance their goal difference towards zero so they could assure themselves of the mid-table championship spot - but I looked at their GD after the game and in fact it was already negative, so they really would have wanted to score a load in this game to hit that sweet spot of pure averageness.

Anyway. A triple sub came on 60 minutes, and that changed the game a ton, a much more assured CUFC side (was that the normal first XI? not sure). They got right back in it, no dropped heads, and took the game to us. The damage had already been done though (despite them forcing a consolation goal).

Enjoy the beach.

Disappointed to miss tonight's game, going off the stats it looked pretty even. Would have liked a win but another point which could be priceless. Acct at home this Saturday, it certainly be won't be 0-0

Sounds like a fair result. Fully expected us to lose when saw we conceded first, but great to see us battle back and keep that gap to you as it was. Think you'll beat Accrington on Saturday. Did their last win away from home come at ours in November? That was such a horrendous game - gives me nightmares!

I didn’t go but yeah there were a fair few changes. Iredale has been injured since January, Worman hasn’t started for ages, Lankester has been bit part all season. Smith, Brophy and Knibbs (the three subs who replaced those three mentioned) have regularly started as the three in a 4-2-3-1. Lloyd Jones at centre back is also coming back from injury.

We’ve got a small, tired squad and Bonner likes freshening it up midweek. Not ideal against sides who are well organised and clinical. But we always lose to Wycombe regardless of how we’re doing so I was expecting a defeat whoever we picked!

Yeah we changed our midfield 3 behind the striker from Saturday and our very small squad looked tired after a very tough game away to Ipswich.

However you are a very good side and have got some excellent individuals who look like they could be playing higher. Based on that tonight I think you’ll get in the play offs.

It should be mentioned we are shit on a Tuesday and luckily for you both games have been a Tuesday.

All we can do is our thing. Easter Weekend will tell us if we’re the real deal in fighting for automatics or running down time to the play offs when we face Sheffield Wednesday at home and Oxford away. Keep winning games and then even if we do finish third we go into the play offs in exceptional form.

Well I've just spoken with my pal who was at the match. Said it was a really enjoyable game, Fleetwood played well especially in the 1st half but Lincoln came strong in the 2nd. Cairns had a brilliant match for the Cod's, a draw a fair result for both teams

Dont know if what you say is right but if it is it stinks...........Teams midtable need to put there first 11 out each game to make the league fair.
Yes you can make a change or two to give a promising youngster a game to see if he can step up but essentially teams need to be transparent

For a team who has been rolling out the same 14 players for the past 4 months due to a very small squad with injuries we earned the right to rotate last night.

I wouldn’t expect you to understand that though coming from a club with big financials and the luxury to rotate without it effecting the quality on the pitch too much.

They can do whatever they like - their manager can pick any team of available players to him. Who are you to determine who is and isn't part of their best 11?

Sadlier is no good at wing back, he just isn't switched on enough, he likes to run forward but back towards his own goal not so much.

He is a very decent No10 with great dribbling skills and a fierce shot but he lacks pace. He's a good footballer but something of a luxury player.

All his best performances for us seemed to be when he came on as a a sub running up against tiring defences and tbf we do miss him in that respect.
Trouble always was he would play well as a sub, then when he was rewarded with a start, he would deliver very little.

He's a bit of an enigma, he really needs a team designed just to bring the best out of him but these days it's just too indulgent.

Well, a 2-1 win that I am bloody pleased to get out of the way. I really don't like these potential banana skins and would rather play teams around us. With those, if you lose as long as you try and play ok it's at least acceptable. A defeat against bottom opposition now would be a real kick in the gut. Look at Oxford, not what they were expecting.
