Exeter away which will be a tough game. We’ve had a 10 day break whereas Exeter have played 5 games in 15 days, hoping that our extra freshness will give us the edge in a tight game. Our team should be back to close to full strength with Guthrie and McWilliams back in, and hopefully Etete has shrugged off his hamstring issue as he’s been absolutely class for us recently. Would never believe he’s a 19 year old loanee.
What’s your style this season?. There is a perception amongst City fans based on passed seasons of very strong, a bit long ball and good at set pieces. Is that old news for this season?

Nah, this year they’re very strong, loads of long balls and good at set pieces.

Should be a tight affair. Was going to say that we are pretty much at full strength other than the long-term injuries but club has just announced that Telford has Covid so wont be playing.

Telford has Covid? Whilst very unfortunate for him (and I hope he doesn’t have it bad), that’s very fortunate for us.

I wouldn’t say we’re that long ball this season and the stats back that up a bit. Our set piece stats are good because we’ve got two good headers of a ball at centre half and goals were hard to come by in attacking positions early on in the season, so it skewed it a bit.

Under Brady we are a bit more expansive and different to the style Curle played.

Sold 824 for Orient tomorrow. Probably top 1000 when PotD is confirmed. Better than some tinpotters in a league higher!

Yes, back for Port Vale this weekend so I guess he hasn't got the cova too bad.

Tricky game and wouldn't be too fussed if its off with the injuries up front but think we should still feel confident, we've got a weird injury crisis with only Rodney now left fit of our attacking players and 70% fit Politic but have been away to two top 10 league one sides and scored 3 times and looked decent in both so if we can keep that level of performance up we have a chance.

To be fair to the lads Walsall aside we've dug in and have an incredible team spirit and do offer goals from other area's.

I expect we will rest Dennis the Menace as impact sub and may need to tweak the formation.

I'd be tempted to go 3-5-1-1 and play with Worrall or Conlon as a 10 with Rodney as we cant afford to risk losing Dennis as well.

At least the Dazzler will get a better reception in this one than Walsall!

Our long ball game isn’t suited to windy conditions. we really struggle in more than a moderate breeze and forecast is not good tomorrow night! One or two back from injury would help.

Just watched the pre match press conference with John Yems.

We have 13 players injured. 7-8 of them are 1st team regulars.

Two things strike me about that statement

1/ What the hell are our physios doing?

2/ We must have a lot of players if we can afford to lose that many and still put out a team.

He goes on to say he would like to get some friendlies to ease these players back but doesn't have enough fit players to do so and not risk injuring any more (my take on it).

Got the same ref who screwed us over versus FGR a few weeks back, brilliant.

Okay, interesting, it will be blowing a gale apparently, but will hopefully still be a good game. We've also got two key players out, Nombe who has been great up front, and Dieng who has been out best midfielder this season in my view. We've got a big squad this year though so hopefully it shouldn't affect us too much

I'm not sure the games going to go ahead. It's been absolutely bucketing it down yesterday and all night, and still is.

Be amazed if the game goes ahead. It definitely would have been called off in previous seasons, but this is a test for the new pitch, particularly with another home game on Saturday

Storm Barra this evening, expecting a lot of wind and it petering out into a damp squid
A lot of bluster and passing without any real damage.

Drains seem to be coping okay at the moment, although the rain is still relentless.

On a personal level will be gutted if it’s off, we are 11 hours ahead in Sydney at this time of year so these night games are easy to watch, whereas the Saturday ones kick off at 2am

Do not fancy us at all for this one.

Swindon imperious away from home and whilst we're solid at Brisbane Road I still don't think we're actually that good, be lucky to scrape the play offs come the end of the season methinks.

Question for the Os fans as I genuinely cannot think - when was the last time we won a Tuesday night home game in the football league (not the NL)?

0 - 3 but I hope otherwise.

Beat Mansfield 2-1 Feb 2020 on a Tuesday night, Dayton and an own goal for us.

Also beat Southend 2-0 at home last season before new years, that was on a Tuesday night.

Calm here now! no wind at all plus the sun has just made an appearance, but we have had a lot of rain in the last 36 hours so i guess we are about to find out if our new £1m pitch is up to scratch and worth the money.

Think we'll lose to Orient tonight. I'm in Kent visiting family this week and the weather is getting worse here, wind picking up now. The elements shouldn't affect our silky on the floor game too much. Would take a point.

Crawley Town are buying a pie and a hot drink for all travelling fans tonight.

Nice gesture and looking out of my window, one that will probably be appreciated.

Any Carlisle fans around ?, bookies favourite for the Fleetwood job is Chris Beech. He was flying with your lads and then it all went flat. Was he the problem or as is so often the case, the fall guy of the Chairman

Aidan Stone keeps his place in goal, bit of a surprise but in fairness he’s done nothing wrong, wonder if Covolan has a knock.

Politic starts which is a surprise if he isn’t fully fit but all the big lads missing from the weekend come back in who are fit.

Zero attacking options from the bench such is the situation mind!

Bowery upfront alone, no other strikers in squad other than Gale who we signed from Long Eaton, missing a lot of important players tonight, midfield need to do the business, very weak bench so hopefully no injuries.

Just really hope we don't lose anyone else to injury or suspension. Going to be hard enough as it is until January. Lose either Rodney or Politic now and we are getting into just playing Conlon as a false nine territory.

Either way the team looks solid enough otherwise.
