The same was said last season when we was 17th in late January. In all honesty it was not a strong league
I think we will fall short this season but it wont be a bad thing......the team is gelling, getting better it will be a big Summer we need to get Trafford again next season Man City will be more than happy with how things have turned out. Fossey from Fulham is another we need to tie down. Sheehan,Isgrove and Katchunga to return to the squad Sadlier,Charles,Dempsey and Morley will have bedded in. Season tickets reduced everything bodes for a right go next season
If we go up, that Fossey will be a Wigan player next season. Heard that we've enquired about Amaechi's situation at Hamburg as well.

Fossey has been brilliant so far. Would be gutted to lose him (when we signed him it was with a view to a permanent deal reported at the time and we have opened negotiations with Fulham), but couldn’t really tell you about Amaechi because he’s been injured nearly all season so wouldn’t be too fussed about him but looks talented. Right manager and right team and he could be a very good player

That’s the worst we’ve played in our run too. Yesterday at the start of the game we were level on points and everyone knows we won’t make play-offs, they’re too far off and the same is true for you.
If we beat Oxford at the weekend it’s game on. But I think it’s a tough ask and if we lose it we have no chance. Think we’d have to win 11 of last 16 or so. We did something similar last season but much tougher league this season

The difference is we will admit that's the case after game 46, it seems your mentality is its over after 30 games, if we did that last year we would be playing a division lower, you may be correct but if your team give up so easily i can see why your going to stay in this league for a while.

Just watched the goals from Tuesday, what a state Fleetwoods pitch is. Should be fun to visit in a couple of weeks!

I'm not saying anything has been done by the way, just that we've definitely been asking about his situation (that's from someone reliable). The club did something similar with Antoinee Robinson when you were in a mess and managed by Parkinson.

Yeah at the time we were pretty gutted to lose Robinson. He was great on loan. Thankfully we are in a better place right now and he’s already a fans favourite but if you go up he’d have a serious decision to make.

Awful wasn't it. A bit like those old 'Big Match' programmes where teams used to play on mud with the odd tuft of grass. TBH we could just as easily have lost that match as we were all over the place trying to play our usual game. Hoofball to a big centre forward would have been the best tactics but we haven't got that in our arsenal.

It’s called being realistic. That Bolton side I saw on Tuesday won’t be in the top 6.

But the team that dismantled Sunderland would be. We’ve won 5 and drawn 1 from last 6… Can’t play well every week but the fact we are picking up results whilst playing poorly shows we are turning a corner because we played well in plenty of games earlier in the season and lost them. Whilst I think we will fall short (because of the 6/7 weeks of playing kids and reserves with our injury and covid crisis…. We had nearly 10 players from the main 22 man squad missing for several weeks) a win at the weekend would make it interesting. If we don’t win it then there is no chance.

You have to keep that form up for the rest of the season whilst hoping several above you go on a run picking up hardly any points.

We were on a reyt shit run and still have a massive injury list but this league is very average so we've picked up 4 straight wins, it is doable but unlikely for Bolton

Yeah it’s defo unlikely. And even more unlikely to be able to pull it off 2 seasons in a row. We were 20th in league two at beginning of feb a year ago haha. I’m actually pretty content with where we are at the moment.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if either Ipswich or Bolton (or both?) make a strong charge for the play offs. Both have talented squads and are on good form.

We could see another situation like with Blackpool last season. Come into the play offs absolutely flying.

Difficult to look beyond Rotherham and Wigan for the autos but playoffs seem wide open down to 10th.

Yeah after today … you’ll have to rip Fossey from my cold dead hands mate if you want him in the summer! He’s unreal!
