Why was King even diving in on that challenge, he was favourite to get the ball You don't want to give NL referees that sort of choice to make they will send you off every time. For what it's worth I think it looked a lot worse than it was.

It was a class finish from Tshimanga, he did fuck all else though but he never really got the ball. First half was a direct head tennis game which Chesterfield won, it's just not our game at all and most teams will try and get the game like that. The game was scrappy and Chesterfield took their two chances.

Sending off allowed us to get it down and it was 9 outfield players behind the ball where Tshimnaga did the graveyard shift up top on his own, which he did OK enough.

It was a straight 4-2-3-1. Roberts right, Sam left, Ruben as the ten.

We were still more open than you’d like against a bad team, but I think we just… are open. Our best chance for the rest of the season is to fully replicate the wildly attacking approach of the end of last season (that we shelved a bit after the Halifax debacle), and I think that set up looks good for it. Gets Cal in his proper position, and having Sam in the team gives us a totally different threat. He’s a complete enigma, but having someone big, strong, quick and unpredictable in the team gives a totally different threat to the technical skills of Roberts and Rodrigues. Worth sticking with for a bit.

I'd swap Francis for Vincent. Very few teams are going to give us that much time and space. Apart from that on current form that's our best players in their best positions.
Fair play to Sam, he's been all over the place for eighteen months but does look worth a starting spot on the left on his last few displays.

It's not just the finish though. It's his anticipation of Oyeleke dropping the ball into that exact position, as well as the perfection in his timing of the run which completely caught out Stockports defenders, and finally the 360 degree turn whilst the ball is looping over his head, maintaining his balance throughout and THEN the finish... that's what makes it such a good goal.

Those qualities are why he has 24 league goals in 26 games.
