Absolutely brain dead decision given the context or "heat" of the game to go in for a tackle like that.

King cost you three points there, not the referee. If I was your manager I'd be having a quiet word about his intelligence and game management.

It's a terrible tackle, isn't it? It almost looks as if anyone sticking up for it is just being a wind-up merchant

And if anyone is interested in watching some truly spectacular shithousery, just watch the highlights for King wandering around in bewilderment for 20 seconds after being shown the red, getting pointed to the tunnel by the ref, then spins round and decides he was injured all along, so bad he can't make it two yards to the byline. It was another five minutes until play was allowed to resume, which made up half of the ten minutes injury time although the ball was barely three minutes of the ball actually being in play. I hear some people enjoy watching that sort of thing. Takes all sorts, I suppose.

I'm more and more convinced that 'Stocky' and 'ForzaCounty' are in fact the exact same person.

Highlights from the big one last night. Cold light of day I'll settle down and just say good football match, proper crowd, good atmosphere and a lots of incident. I think the Palmer header is probably just over the line on the second bounce, King's tackle is an orange card that has turned to red due to previous fouls from Chesterfield players IMO. It won't be overturned, it's excessive force. I think if the game/crowd was calmer and he'd done it first 20 I reckon it's a yellow. Tshimanga's definitley onside for the first, MSH plays him on. Hinchliffe shocking for the second. Two good strikes from our midfielders- I did warn the Chesterfield lads that our midfielders chip in with goals.

Point a piece. We'd have bitten your hand off for that at half time, Chesterfield fans would have bitten your hand off for that after Croasdale's equaliser.

The end.
Agree with all of that.

Though I’d say Hogan was fouled on the first. It’s a Harry Kane style sly don’t leave the ground a get under the defender in the air style move.

No chance, he was the wrong side and he's just stumbled trying to turn, acres between the players

No chance that's a Red card. Having said that, Jeff King is an idiot and needs to be more disciplined.

Stockport on the good side of a ridiculous ref decision? Surely not? Title's in the bag, they've been getting these all season.

I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for the second (Roberts) and say he wasn’t expecting it and it came through a crowd and dips a bit, but yeah, it’s straight at him really. The first and fourth are proper shockers though. I note according to his bio he was a full back who was converted to a keeper because of his height - perhaps that explains a thing or two.

What formation did we play? Seen some say 4312, others 433.

As for the Bees fans asking if Tuesday or opening day was worse, I didn’t go to either, but Tuesday sounded far worse. Our local BBC commentator and summariser were pretty critical of the Barnet defending

Wasn't at the opener but honestly, last night was a gutless performance. Your scouts must have told you to either press or drop off to the halfway line and then close down, you did neither, just gave us the the run of the pitch. At four down you sparked into a bit of life but I can't honestly remember a worse team visit us. For whatever reason you just didn't fancy it last night. Felt sorry for the travelling fans.
I've seen us capitulate on occasion, 6-0 at Rotherham was a shocker and Shaun Derry the manager was holding back tears post match interview he was so distraught at the performance after he'd just taken over.
Resting players for their Cup Final on Saturday

Good lord, the goalkeeping.

Truly a bad night at the office. Not often you see so many errors from one goalie in one game...bet he wished he stayed on the coach.

Yeah sorry I should have said Hogan on the second goal not first - that’s Johnson on the first goal and it’s shit defending and definitely not a foul.

It was a straight 4-2-3-1. Roberts right, Sam left, Ruben as the ten.

We were still more open than you’d like against a bad team, but I think we just… are open. Our best chance for the rest of the season is to fully replicate the wildly attacking approach of the end of last season (that we shelved a bit after the Halifax debacle), and I think that set up looks good for it. Gets Cal in his proper position, and having Sam in the team gives us a totally different threat. He’s a complete enigma, but having someone big, strong, quick and unpredictable in the team gives a totally different threat to the technical skills of Roberts and Rodrigues. Worth sticking with for a bit.

Clutching at straws a bit their mate.

In conclusion. The ball didn't "bounce twice over the line", you shouldn't have had a penalty, kabs wasn't offside, their wasn't a foul for the 2nd goal and Kings sending off was extremely harsh.

Stockport blinkers.

No just bounced once over the line once - last time I checked that’s a goal.

Haven’t seen the two pen incidents so can’t comment.

Agreed your first goal definitely wasn’t offside.

There was a foul for your second goal.

King was reckless and brought it on himself - neutrals on here like Jacob with no bias agree.

Chesterfield blinkers.

Watched the Chesterfield highlights to watch this Tshimanga wonder goal, I presume he scored another and it’s not that 8 yard scuff?

Think I'm team Chesterfield on the King red card, but it should have been 2-1 at that point as there's no way that ball isn't over the line. You can see it on the footage so quite how the officials have missed that is shocking. Comically bad keeping on that second Chesterfield goal too. Very good finish from Kabongoals but perhaps overegged a tad and a couple of thumpers from Stockport too.

Stockport players surrounding the ref for the red need to reprimanded as per Kings Lynn a week or so ago, but we all know that won't happen.

It's not just the finish though. It's his anticipation of Oyeleke dropping the ball into that exact position, as well as the perfection in his timing of the run which completely caught out Stockports defenders, and finally the 360 degree turn whilst the ball is looping over his head, maintaining his balance throughout and THEN the finish... that's what makes it such a good goal.

Those qualities are why he has 24 league goals in 26 games.

I am completely neutral - I love all brothers and hate all tinpotters equally - and I say the Stockport goal ‘looks’ in, but it’s really impossible to tell from the footage. And King’s aggressive tackle probably wouldn’t have been a red 10 years ago in the National League, but it pretty much always is now.

In conclusion, it is hard to say either side was ‘reffed out of it’.
