Kabongoals still top of the pops and the best number 9 in the division when you take everyone's pens out of the mix to be fair to him.

Surprising as you had King playing for you. He won both of ours on Saturday, one of which was a delightful tumble.
He never really won a lot of pens for us.

We never really get into positions to get pens. We got one against Grimsby but that's our only 1 in the league this season.

Win at all costs for us, don’t care it comes about.

Frank Vincent needs to be in the starting XI for me. If we are intent on shoehorning Brunt in or have a contractual obligation to or whatever, then he can play instead of Rodrigues for me, who hasn’t looked on it for weeks. Bring Vinny into the midfield and push Brunt up into what we are told is his best position.

I also don’t think it will ever happen, but I’d be happy to see Rawlinson come back in, probably at the expense of Lacey. As good as Lacey has been in the past, I can’t remember the last time he really dominated a game. Rawlinson at least heads pretty much everything that comes into the box. Just play him in the middle and tell him to give it to Cameron and Brindley, who can bring it out.

You’d imagine after Saturday we should win comfortably but it’ll be absolutely vintage us to make some kind of hard work of it.

We have a mystery injury too which I have an awful feeling it’s the leagues best #10, he came off on 89 mins which seemed slightly odd. Fox is out for a bit too which means guaranteed starter and obvious weak link Giles Coke will have no real competition.

Agree with all of this, particularly on Rawlinson. He’s out of the team because he’s bang average with the ball at his feet, but he’s dominant in the air, a solid defender and a leader. Lacey is pretty much the opposite, extremely classy with the ball for a centre back down here but can get bullied. Right now we could do with a bit of Rawlo.

I’d personally be tempted to switch the system at this point to 4-2-3-1. I’m not sure we needed to sign Brunt particularly, but now we have we might as well see what happens with him, Roberts and Rodrigues all in one team in a sensible formation for it.

Can't be too bad if it's McAtee as he was straight over celebrating the win at full time...unless it's something he did in training today. I kind of zoned out of PH's pre-match so not sure if he said the mystery injury was done in training. He'd obviously be a loss, but I've got a feeling Burgess is a decent player. Where have you got that from anyway?

As for the game, it's a biggy and i'm not that confident given Stockports form and the circus following us around but after Saturday we look more settled than I thought, the players looked to be behind Webb and it felt better than I thought it would.

Expect a couple of changes maybe - Weston in for McCourt and maybe Oyeleke for Khan. If we line up like that then we'll have given ourselves a chance in the game.

We've sold 1500 I think, the 1200 normal tickets behind the goal but not all of the 700 down the side reserved for families and over 65's (Stockport fans why do you do that?!) I know of people who want to go but the club wouldn't sell them a ticket, unless they were taking a kid with them. I think they just bought the additional ticket if even if it won't be used.

Should be a good game, big atmosphere and a proper contest. Heart is saying we will get something, head saying 2-1 to the big spending Stockport.

Ps i'm driving, any recommendations to park? Assume it's mostly street parking round the ground but don't mind a walk to park in a proper car park or whatever if that's better. Usually go on the train so never driven before
I’ve never known us turn the side away allocation into a family area.

I can only imagine the police have forced us to for us game because it’s a shared home and away stand and rather that part being mainly empty or full of school kids given free tickets it’s sold out.

these are absolutely not the actions of an injured man:

Bees fans got any thoughts on tomorrow? Are you still beleaguered thanks to the racism stuff? Or resurgent, after the win at Aldershot? Can’t decide

We have absolutely no idea to be honest.

Outplayed Aldershot on Saturday but they were pony. Only Turley has been suspended because of the racism situation. No idea on his situation at the moment. Other players have been affected with covid etc.

Expecting a comfortable home win. Think your big pitch will play into your hands. Expect a tougher test than opening day though. The fact we will have Sam Beard at LB/LWB (who has been arguabley our best player for ages) instead of that fraud Doherty is the main reason.

Hopefully Mason Clark is fit. If he improved his end product he’d be playing a couple leagues above imo. Rob Hall is a league player so should cause problems out wide.

Travelling up tomorrow. Will probably be around 100. Few people annoyed that the first game was called off so late with people already on trains etc so won’t be doing it again.

Woke up feeling a bit more confident we can get a result tonight. Is Sarcevic out?

Nothing confirmed but I have a feeling that he'll be out.

Midfield is also a bit of an issue for us.

Oyeleke & Weston are our starting 2 when full strength, however Oyeleke has been nursing a calf injury and only played 25 mins on Saturday, and didn’t feature away at Eastleigh. Weston played at Eastleigh but was out of the squad against Daggers on Saturday.

I expect Oyeleke to start tonight (huge lift if he does as he makes us tick) but Weston to possibly be on the bench. Which leaves us with McCourt (played well Saturday but two games in 3 days will be too much for him) and Khan who, whilst he does offer a threat going forward - I’m yet to be convinced he’s a proper CM yet that can do both the defending and the attacking.

That being said - I think it’ll be a tight and cagey affair with probably 1 or 2 goals being the difference. I expect us to set up like this:

Loach
King Kerr Grimes Croll Whittle
Oyeleke Khan
Mandeville
Asante Tshimanga

I’m on the 3.20 out of Euston for this one so hope regardless of the result that it’s an entertaining game.

Important game for us tonight vs. Yeovil. Yeovil are very Jekyll and Hyde and as already referenced on here and by our management team, their key strength is on the counter-attack and there are a couple of ex-Stones in the side who would enjoy scoring against us.

Our best shot will be to beat them at their own game, be very compact defensively (probably a 5 at the back when out of possession) and hope to hit them on the break, although that's only really achievable if Rhys Browne is back tonight and I'm hoping he is.

I know it's stating the obvious but a win would put some real distance between us and the bottom 3.

Feeling good this morning too. We know Bromley love a long throw to the near post, but if Cardwell is fit, which he should be, then he adds to our ability to defend that threat. We showed you can get rewarded if you attack them on Boxing Day and we are so much stronger in that department now, with more variety of threats. So fingers crossed we can get a result tonight.

Gatewise, standing at 6998 tickets sold as of this morning in the home stands, so with the pay on the gate and Bromley away following, 100 or so (?), we should be pushing for somewhere in the region of a 7,500 gate tonight.

Bromley don’t travel in numbers despite their decent home attendances, be surprised if there is 100 as they barely bring that to Dagenham on a Saturday. They’re a second club for local Charlton and Palace fans, only have 400/500 or so real fans.

Yeah I was putting an accy on and swerved Stockport as I reckon you lot have got at least a point in you tonight. Shame this one isn't on BT, biggest match of the season so far.

We are making it easier for Notts County tonight. With only 2 strikers on our books, we have just offloaded one to Bromley.

I'm not sure it will make any difference to your team mate, but I think both teams would take a draw.

Can't see us stopping the stockport onslaught personally.

Last time we went on a little run like this we went beserk and won basically every game for the next couple of months, so hopefully can do the same. Those runs will still cost us in the long run, mind.

Yeah, i can't see us getting consistent enough to now challenge for the title. But, a draw would stop the gap widening too much and keep that glimmer of hope we can catch you! :)

I’m not ruling you out nicking something, we’re on a bit of a downer following three disappointing results plus your two 6’6 centre halves will probably get a chance from a set piece.

We really should win though, don’t care how, team news will be interesting.

Hoping we are going to announce a striker before kick off but not holding my breath
