Two now. A bit more quality in that goal. What were you playing at Mansfield?

I thought we were controlling the game fairly well….never mind! Shit happens. Great counter attack that 2nd goal.

Yes I thought you were the better team, and we weren't playing badly you just weren't letting us play. Particularly Elliot Lee. I'm impressed by how you play tbh.

Plenty of game still to play though. Mullin looks up for the game - would not be surprised to see him score at least one more today. I'm not sure your CBs are good enough to play this passing game under pressure. Never rated Maguire at Chessie.

We struggle to break down teams that play in this manner - aka Doncaster game. You don’t press us from midfield which is what we want you to do and why we end up passing it around the back for 99% of the time

Oh yeah and Maguire has improved, but still runs like he’s in treacle

He always has. Not quite big enough, not quite fast enough, can be prone to a bad decision. But he does try, and can actually be a threat from a set piece. Way more at home in a back 5 than a back 4

Another scandalous decision from a lino against us as Obikwu has a perfectly good goal ruled out for offside.

Edit: Might actually have been offside.

Happy with that. Decent half of football from both sides. Could have snatched a third at the end there too.

Does this mean FGR have had a shot on target for the first time in 4 years? :ohm:

Crawley had the ball at the start but we've been as good as we've been all season so far.

We've got to be the most clinical team in the league, Crawley were in the game and under no real threat then we go forward twice and it's 2-0 and then it's all us from then.

Cannon is on another level and Mullin doing what he does.

Crawley still look a good side to me who will carry on in the same way, so this isn't over yet.

We're never scoring a goal ever again. Seen more threat from a box of puppies than our attack lately.

Harrogate in a deckchair, toes in the sand looking at the waves. A horrible first half.

Watching at home and to me it looks as though every time Wrexham get on the ball in the final third they can score.

Second was a great breakaway but leaving Mullin unmarked in the six yard box is criminal.

By the way Spirerite. We play with a back four. What happens is when we have the ball one of our defenders steps up into midfield and the two wide defenders tuck in. That's why we are so susceptible to counter attacks down the wings.

You’ll score again,
Don’t know where, don’t know when,
But I know you’ll score again next Saturday (you better fucking do).

Yep, awful game. Just lots of running and smashing the ball high and long. Scrappy 1-0 either way written all over it.

False alarm. Even that wasn’t according to BBC.

Christ on a bike. There are babies that spend less time rolling around on the floor crying than Colchester.

Not sure what the game can do about the fake goalkeeper injuries. Bet they’ve done at least 1 of those.

4.

Time to rest some players.
Time for us to shut up shop for the GD sake.
The difference in quality between Saturdays opponents and tonight is remarkable. Can’t even say I’m disappointed in our performance other than our naivety. Lindsey did say he’d never change his philosophy….

Yeah I don't think you've been bad at all. Far from it. But you know when opposition fans say 'it's the best we've played all season.'?

Well this is the best we've played all season.

Thoroughly, thoroughly deserved win for Mansfield, bloody needed.

Dominated the vast majority the match and really should’ve put it to bed in the first half, but held firm after a bit of pressure late at the end.
