McCormack coming back from injury (again) so doubt it. Off the top of my head can think of Turnbull ex Swindon as well, Williams too?
Had Harry Smith on loan a couple of seasons ago as well.

Going to be another good barometer of where we are at as a team against FGR. They are an excellent team for this level and impressed me each time have seen them so any points gained from this will be welcome.

Our start could have been a hell of a lot better but at the same time we are still unbeaten. Just need to learn how to manage the game better when we are winning, maybe use a few Stevenage type tactics.

Cheers for the compliment, nice to see people who appreciate good football. Expect a tight game, Askey is a top manager imo and I'm sure you'll be set up to press high and stop us playing it out from the back, which caused us problems at Walsall. If you sit off we'll pass it all day. Worried your big strikers could be a problem for us, we struggled a bit with Hanson on Saturday and for me Pope is similar if not better and Bennett has always impressed me. Would take a point.

Sounds like us:
1. Don't use one pass when 17 will do
2. Mmm Bop usually scores against us
3. So does Popey

BTW - I do like what I've seen of Robert Sanchez (loan goalie formerly of your parish). Mad as a box of frogs, but pulls saves off and long range distribution does give an alternative to tika taka... :)

Not sure what to expect from Walsall. Big loss for us with Demetriou out injured. No update since yesterday so it’s not clear how long he will be sidelined.

Abrahams has impressed coming off the bench so he may get a start.

I’ll go for a narrow 1 nil away win to the County.
Expect a tight game with us showing minimal attacking threat and possibly pinching a goal from somewhere because we do not have a striker capable of scoring yet.1-1 for me.

Yep Sanch is quality, but is prone to the odd rush of blood. Exactly the type of sweeper keeper we like though, so suited our style well.

How’s Powell getting on?
Didn't see Saturday, but he was pretty good against Plymouth and Oldham. Just couldn't score. He's had 3 excellent chances across both games and fluffed his lines each time. Still, using him as a RW in a 3 man attack seems to be working out nicely. Means he can get into dangerous areas frequently. Needs a goal to really boost his confidence I think.

As for Crawley, they do seem to have improved. Comfy win over Salford, good draw at Scunny. However, we enjoy playing them. 3 defeats in 14 games, one of those being that annilhation last season that we lost 3-0 because we couldn't score. Could do with getting something given we have Newport and Bradford next, either side of Aston Villa in the cup.

Carlisle at home for us - I'll home form in 2019 suggests we should win this one, but with players being struck down by illness and injury I don't think I can call it.

1-1

Pretty good I'd say. Suits our 433 formation perfectly playing from the right. He's been very unlucky not to have scored in the 1st few games. He was abit more quiet Vs Walsall but we as a team were so it's understandable.

The problem he's going to have going forward is a youngster called Owen Dale who is really starting to impress every time he's come on he's looked class. But these are good problems to have.

Powell always struggled a bit with end product at our place

Easier to have one thread for Tuesday I think, if you want separate ones crack on

We go to Swindon with Keith Curle under pressure already, Colchester, Plymouth and Bradford after this so points need to come from somewhere.

Ah Eric Sabin, a man our ex-manager Andy King (RIP) hilariously compared with Thierry Henry. Such a frustrating player!

Anyway, tomorrow night will be a good test for us after an unbeaten start including a great point at Exeter on Saturday. I fancied Northampton to do well this season but they've stuttered a bit and we need to take advantage. Yates is on the second of his 3 game ban but Doyle has come in and scored on Saturday so I suspect an unchanged line-up.

I'll be watching on Ifollow and it will be the first time I have seen us play, it sounds like Isgrove and Anderson have started the season really well and with Doyle now signed have someone who can thrive off of Isgrove's excellent supply.

3-1.

Home to Colchester for us, they were decent last season but only one point from 3 so far, what's going on?

Not quite clicked yet, particularly going forward. Very slow start on the opening day against Port Vale, but once we were level I thought we edged it. Plymouth away was always going to be tricky but the performance was decent even if nothing came of it, and on Saturday we were excellent for the first half, didn't put the game to bed and then fell apart a bit after half-time.

We've generally played ok, but are looking a bit toothless in the final third. Hoping it starts to come together sooner rather than later, but not particularly hopeful for tomorrow night. Northern away games on a Tuesday night tend to bear little fruit.

Have to disagree first season. FGR were finding their feet, even Dan Turner scored !!
Last season undoubtedly with Lincoln the best team up Vale, passed us to death , a bit like ' the Crewe way ' ,cough cough.

Very difficult game this is for us. I'm going be on the fence and say a draw , maybe 1-1 , we don't do many 1-1 draws !!!

Good to see the Crewe lads in a positive frame of mind. Let's hope we can change that on Tuesday.

Nadesan was seen holding his ankle against Scunny but wasn't subbed for another half hour. It always seems a player coming back from an injury picks up another one. Favouring the old injury I suppose.

Young has 3rd game off due red at Carlisle. Cogley did well on Saturday so it seems a no brainer to go with the same team as Saturday's.

We seem to be shooting for fun at the moment but we are susceptible to crosses so I'll go for a 3-2 home win.

Another game I miss due to being a shift worker. I need to get a life.

Happens quite a lot this; call someone out, I respond with facts and then all of a sudden they were only taking the piss.

Course you were. :hail:
So obvious that he was only taking the piss, you really need to lighten up pal or else a football forum really isn’t the best place for you.

Of the 3 match threads I’ve started this season, there has been 187 posts made in total. Over 62 posts per thread on average. Probably more than what this thread will receive.
You had me at match threads. Take me now, stud.

All that effort and it wasn’t funny. Shame.

Agreed it's a fucking mess. I'm at work but that's no excuse. Lucky there's a delete function. Must try harder.

I'll leave the humour to you and F.I.R.T.H.Y.

I now hope we hammer you tomorrow, I suspect we might. Crush you like the worms that you are.

Missing Isgrove and Anderson aren’t you, we’re gonna hoof you into submission

I don't think there are too many obvious bankers in league 2 but if you twisted my arm i'd go something like.
