See the away problem in that we play ourselves into so much trouble at the back over playing it. Most teams at Vale Park don't press as high and MK only real threat so far has been from our errors but battled it out and well done Jones burying the rebound. Since the goal probably been the better side.
no probably mate. Youse have been.

The overplaying at the back could have seen us fall behind and needs looking at but since the goal we have looked the stronger team with Grant pulling the strings in the middle of the park

I'm not saying Vale are a one man team but it really is noticeable how much better this team is when Grant is out on the pitch.

MK Dons have absolutely NO goal threat. Only half decent player imo is the fella Carruthers.

Dreadful game. We didn't deserve to win but MK Dons hardly threatened us either.

A win is a win. 4th in the League and first away win of the season, plus in front of the cameras. Few positives

Robinson needs to fuck off. Just heard him on the radio saying we dominated and we were the better team, deserved to win etc.

He's a fucking idiot. He keeps saying we are dominating games this season.

He hasn't got a clue at all. Completely cracked under the pressure. A good manager when it's going well, but definitely can't get teams out of a rut.

Time to go you shit manager.

Robinson Out.

That had 0-0 written all over it and was basically decided by a moment of madness from Lewington.

MK Dons offered absolutely nothing and I can see why they are struggling at home and we didn't offer too much more. The playing out from the back is going to cost us a few times this season, particularly away from home when teams are keen to press us.

Grant was superb and was rightly MOTM as he controlled the match for the entire 90 minutes

To be fair for all their pressure there keeper had to make the better save from our only spell in there half.

Got to say love our third kit too! Shame we have to wear the unlucky yellow next week!

Also to note the Sunday curse is finally over! 14 years since our last non Xmas win on a Sunday (against Stoke!) and believe our last win on a Sunday full stop was 12 years back!

Not the greatest of games, especially for the cameras. We seemed happy to play for 0-0 but MK gave us a helping hand to give us the win. Grant motm by a mile.

we won some second balls, lost some. nice to see that we had a consistent shape the whole game which is seeming like a theme this season, we just lack drive and quality at times but (I've not seen any of our stellar home performances) drive is something we can pick up and being 4th it doesn't seem like our lack of quality is much of an issue so far. just want us to stop dicking about. more drive less dickin plz lads.

attendance 8k+? 4k max.

We just need to learn to boot the ball clear at times. Cost us against Coventry when we gift wrapped them both goals (plus four or five more chances) and today we were guilty of it especially when Remie didn't just boot it out but took a touch and they hit the post!

After we scored we mixed it up more to clear our lines although felt we went too deep at times, MK lacked any quality up front and was a good clean sheet though.

Thought Streete was superb overall and won every header, Grant is the best defensive midfielder in the division easy and was head and shoulders above and thought also Amoros had a decent game as did Knops.

Paterson was poor thought we'd have got big Reg on later on to try and hold the ball up top better.

Was the perfect professional away win I guess, sat deep, got the goal... parked the bus and made it hard to get past us. Shit to watch as a neutral but what we needed after a horror show last week and our away form.

Exactly how we should try and play away from home all the time in my view. Play deep, try and catch teams on the break, nick a goal and then sit deep and frustrate the opposition. Ok, we rode our luck at times but mk have got some good players that have played at a higher level. They're also the home team and should be on the front foot, but I never really felt we were troubled by them. We did today what so many teams have done at Vale Park, we looked well drilled and organised and that's a big part away from home.

Yeah I see Robinson is bleeting about their domination etc (as well as his usual stance of blaming referees) but we chose to give them that dominance and sit deep, we allowed them that tactically and dealt with it to perfection. Considering their big budget and players they have we did very well.

Because one team are above us we failed? Boo hoo. It doesn't matter that they are above us, literally doesn't mean anything. I'm sure it's nice for AFC fans. Maybe now they'll "get over it"

This is the problem with football these days, everything is judged on possession. A team could have 80% of the ball in 90 minutes and despite 70% of that being sideways and backwards passing, they are classed to have been the dominant team.

What happened to football being about who scores the most goals?

I suppose a judgement of failure could only be made if we actually know what Winkleman's aims are. Stealing another club and taking it into League 1 might have been his ultimate aim

Exfuckingzactly mate. I have been screaming and shouting about this for years and have had disagreements with other fans of my club (Rangers). Possession means the square root of absolutey FUCK ALL if there is no meaningful end product for all the possession ie GOALS!

Spot on mate. I love seeing teams keep the ball and work it around the pitch as I think it is the best way to open up the opposition by shifting their setup from side to side but that only works if the ball is moved quickly and in a positive manner. However, some fans and more importantly managers/coaches seem to think that having their back 4 and goalkeeper make 20 passes between them is great football.

it Is prem I believe, doesn't mean there is a timeframe on it though, oh AFC are above us, might as well pack it all away and go home.
