If I was one of you I’d be wanting clubs to go down who are poor and probably won’t be challenging for promotion next season... Bury immediately spring to mind, perhaps Walsall and Oldham as well as clubs who’ve stagnated in league 1 for ages tend to struggle when they do finally drop (e.g. Tranmere).

No, I'm not about to type Snoop Dogg lyrics!

Potential movements from L1 and the NL into L2.

In L1, I've included all the way up to Doncaster and Oxford, although with two games in hand you'd fancy them to see themselves safe. Bury are looking, er, buried. Rochdale's games in hand have dried up but have clawed some points back.

In the NL, you can now finish mid-table and get promoted with the new PO system, which was introduced this season.

I've included down to Bromley because they have games in hand due to their FA Trophy run.

Tranmere had a (very) slow start and that could cost them. Since then, they've been in very good form. Wrexham, Aldershot and Boring Wood have been there or thereabouts all season but had a drop off in form that has seen Sutton and Macclesfield open up a bit of a gap.

Sutton currently top having played a game more.

All sides with 3G have agreed to put proper pitches in if they get promoted. Sutton are one (Boring Wood and Bromley, too, maybe?).

Bromley have an artificial surface but Borehamwood don’t. However, Borehamwood do have only 300 fans.

It’d be a good time to pop back to L1. Bit more of a southern bias than the pie-munching L2.

Get Sunderland, Brum and Reading down, too, and that’s a very decent league next season.
There's only us, Morecambe and Accrington from t'north down here this year, it's the most southern league I can remember us being in in a long time.

Surely Grimsby count as being northern?

I would like to see Rochdale back in the fourth tier since effectively it's their division - nothing against them obviously.

For the Franchise, they can be housed in whichever division means we don't have to play them - fuck the "Buckinghamshire Derby".

Like to see Sutton & Borehamwood up, mainly because both clubs have been dumping grounds for our rejects in the past, although perhaps that just means we'll get a bunch of hyper-motivated ex-WW old boys ready to kick our arse if we stay down in L2...hmmm.

To be fair it'd be good to see some of the ex-league clubs back too, so any of those would be fine as well.

Averaged over two thousand home fans this season (I'll have you know!) despite the rocky ride, and definitely down a c*** now I've moved back abroad.

Lets hope the Franchise mob get relegated and continue their fall down to non league resulting in the death of the club. The stadium can be used for Rugby instead with one of the egg chasing elite relocating there. The football supporters of MK can then finally get back to doing what they like best, that is watching their favourite Premier League team at the local pub or in the comfort of their armchair.

Brings back the old debate of whether you're an advocate of 3 up 3 down. I am and always have been, before we were relegated to the conference, during and now.

Interesting how fans seem to have such polarised views on it.

Yeah our crowds have held up ok given we've struggled all season. Average of 2683 puts us 19th in the attendance table.

Wouldn't be surprised if we're pushing 3k in a couple of years time, provided we don't go back down.

The attendance thing was more tongue in cheek, but I wonder how it'll hold up in a few seasons if you stay up, if they'll drop like morecambes

Guess time will tell

Accepting Bury as they're basically gone, I'd like MK, Northampton and Wimbledon to come alongside them. Aldershot and Boreham Wood to come up.

How many consecutive years were they in L2? I seem to recall it was Rochdale, Macclesfield and then us as L2 custodians.

Who were around when MK played at the National Hockey Stadium in the early 00's?

To say the away end was open to the elements would be an understatement. Got piss wet through in there on a Monday night in early January one season. They had a decent side, too, with Platt, McLeod, Edds, Andrews, Wilbraham, Dyer, Lewington, Knight etc. Oh, and Jude Stirling who was Allen's version of Sam Muggleton back then. Couldn't play football but had a hell of a throw that could reach the penalty area from the halfway line.

I think Rochdale spent 36 consecutive years at this level (1974-2010)!

I’d close it off and bring back re-election. In fact no, scrap the re-election idea.

It should be 3 up, 3 down. So should League 2 be really.

Just seems bizarre the league has 4 up but 2 down.

What's the issue some seem to have with Borehamwood?

The main gripe is charging people for anything and everything. It's just not a very welcoming or friendly place. Not in a nasty, intimidating way, their Chairman must think that they're better than they are.

Expensive tickets given the facilities there (not the only ones tbf), they don't allow radio coverage unless you pay to broadcast (whether that's the local BBC Station, iFollow commentary's or fan run ones), they charge all media to get in, they don't allow Club's to show highlights of their games through official channels and if the Club choose to take a DVD away with them, they charge for that as well.

Complimentary tickets don't really happen - we played there last season and most of the Director's and Media staff were in with the away fans because the radio needed the available tickets and also the few seats that there are.

They've also had a period of being incredibly boring to watch, hence the name Boring Wood. Last season, for instance, 46 games, 48 scored, 49 conceded, mid-table, just about won, drew and lost the same amount of games. Just a bit of a 'meh' side.

Sounds quite fun to some I've experienced. Playing lewes infront of 523 at "the dripping Pan" was an experience.
