That division is a big step up. Will be tough for anyone that goes up this season. Especially if it's a team straight out of non league like Tranmere.

A bit patronising this. With our gates and infrastructure, and a lot of the players we have recently brought in, I think we could survive comfortably in League One next season. We are not comparable with Accy or Wycombe. Bristol Rovers would be a more obvious comparison.

Just seen that the Conference now have an utterly tinpot playoff system. One off matches at the home of the higher placed team 3 days after the season finishes? Some teams getting byes? Wtf.

Has the final been moved from Wembley to Burton as well? Would be more fitting.

As a result of all this tinpottery I think it would be the right thing to do for the EFL to suspend all promotion/relegation between the leagues indefinitely until we can get a clearer idea of exactly how tinpot the Conference are trying to be.

Big win for Orient last night, a 3-2 win over PO placed Eastleigh so they're back on top spot.

Good result for Rochdale at Accy.

Orient just need a point at home to 23rd place Braintree at the weekend to guarentee a L2 return and also know that in theory, they can lose and still get promoted.

Salford are away at Hartlepool knowing they must win, and realistically need to win well at the very least.

PO's are all sorted in terms of 2nd and 3rd and 4th-7th, it's just a case of order.

Bottom of L1 isn't as close as it was 13th-17th all getting a few points on the board over the last couple of weeks.

Walsall look to be joining Bradford in L2 next season.

That bottom 5 are all in horrendous form, though, with only 1 win in their last 25 between them, although AFCW have ticked over quite well, which has kept them within reach of 20th.

I've not checked, but there might be a some games between sides below those on 50 points, which means the likes of Bristol Rovers, Shrewsbury and Wycombe are already safe.

Big two games for Scunny - home to Bradford and away at Plymouth.

Watched a bit of the playoff last night before the Barca v Liverpool game. Showed what a difference there is in standard between the two leagues. Both would get hammered most weeks. Anyone saying there isn't much of a gap is talking bollocks.

Hence my belief that anyone promoted from National League should be ineligible for promotion to league one for the first two seasons, thus forcing them to put foundations in place for league football before just throwing money at a crazy bid to get into the Championship.

I like the idea but I don't think it should apply to certain clubs like us, Wrexham, Chesterfield, Stockport, Orient and possibly one or two others as we've all got the infrastructure and support levels to compete in the bottom two tiers.

So some sort of grading policy would be better to put in place.

I'm firmly on the side of the fans of clubs like Lincoln and Tranmere who wouldn't want to see their clubs over-extend themselves so badly that they end up in a worse situation than they were in before. Rushden and Diamonds should serve as a warning for all.

Maybe the same should apply to teams promoted from NLN and NLS to the main NL? They seem as likely to throw money at things to get into the FL.

While I’m not expecting Rovers to go up through the play-offs, our infrastructure and budgeting shouldn’t cause any problems

In fairness clubs will usually find their natural level, look at Yeovil for instance

Following Wrexham's loss there will be a new Football League side for next season. 12 years now for Wrexham. Solihull v Fylde and Salford v Eastleigh over the coming weekend.

Solihull have my backing now, local and in fairness did sell us Ian Taylor who went on to be a legend with us (and then went Villa) before their merger.

On a side note if Salford fail to come up with one of Mansfield and MK going up and Notts probably down there should be virtually no “big spenders” with Lincoln and Bury also gone. The L1 clubs in the drop battle are not exactly sides who chuck cash around.

Should set it up to be a very competitive and open division.

Our budget this year was the fourth highest in the entire league which some how makes this season even worse, at the same time that will probably have a big say on how much (or little) we spend next season given so many of the useless feckers are still under contract.

It's starting to look like relegation is the least of our worries. Not sure we'll exist as a club this time next year.

Feliciana EFL (new owners) acquired the club for £100. The debt remains in the Football club, the land is still under Norman Hayward’s (current owner) name and operational downsizing will bring bad news for staff. The new owner doesn't care about the club, insolvency awaits.
