We didn't deserve anything from that game, we were terrible but as long as Bishop and their number 20 weren't on the winning side I'll sleep well. Referee was as bad as they came and gave Mansfield the impetus constantly.

Justice!

Never gave up and a point despite playing absolutely awful is welcome!

Only highlight other than the goals was Legge nearly scoring an over head!

Goaaaarn the Vale!

Lol gives Bennett a yellow when he wasn’t able to get out the way!

By far our worst performance but showed great fight to claw it back twice. This is exactly the kind of game we’d have lost last season. Need to get some players back before our next game.

As for the penalty it looked to me like a case of the defender just standing his ground. If that gets penalised then am not sure what else as a defender you can do.

Overall pleased with a point that prior to the game I wouldn’t have been!

Thought losing all our wingers then meant Mansfield’s full backs could push on and we get penned in a couple of times, although for all the talk of Mansfield’s domination or us not deserving a point they didn’t really test Brown in goal often.

I’m frustrated by the injury situation but would of snapped your hands off for four points this week against the two big spenders and also away at the league leaders so to do it with largely second string players is even more remarkable.

Had we had a couple of the key players fit today I fancy we’d have seen a different game but we ended up more injury hit today than Tuesday once Monty went off and with Browne now also absent, swapping Amoo for Ryan Lloyd is like a Ferrari for a mid 90s Fiesta and Lloyd was poor today.

Not sure why we left our top scorer on the bench either but assume he wasn’t fully fit either.

Positives are that we battled to the end and kept going despite the time wasting and antics of the opposition and was sweet to get 94th minute goal after all that!

Onto a run of more kind fixtures now with most of the bottom half sides now to play, get some injuries back this week and hopefully we can really push on.

If our side with mainly second string players in front of the back 5 can get a point playing that badly then I guess it is a promising sign of the vast improvements from last season.

Thought the best player on the pitch today was Benning. Was putting some serious quality into the Vale box.

Cullen for us outside of his goal was disappointing. Just didn’t quite seem on the same wavelength as the others around him. Also reinforced as mentioned earlier my view that 4-4-2 is not the answer for us. Left us overrun in midfield countless times.

Yeah, issue is with no fit wide men bar Worrall you’ve no one to support Pope in our usual set up. No high press either.

Actually ended up going after feeling slightly better than this week.

Though only on one performance I actually saw a side worse than Mansfield, which was a surprise!

Basically 2 crap sides playing crap football reffed by someone completely and utterly incompetent, we certainly played him better than vale did for sure, but I’ve seen that happen to us plenty of times before!

I cant wait to get our injured players back. Our lack of quality options on the bench was there for all to see with the amount of injuries we presently have. Thats a nasty run of games gone and we haven't done too badly. With Amoo, Oyeleke and Brown available hopefully available next weekend, we can push on.

I didn't go but when I saw the equaliser go in at 90+4 I just thought it was bloody typical!
Was it any better this week Stags fans or was it more of the same?

It’s literally all our creativity missing. Shocked we managed two goals with the lack of options we had today!

Hahahahaha.

Imagine having 14 men and still not winning.

Bishop a cheating c***. Proper bellend.

With half a team out injured, decent to keep the unbeaten home record in tact. Justice really after by far the worst refereeing decision I've ever seen in my life. Disgusting to put it bluntly.

Disappointing to see Mansfield resort to those tactics with the individual talent they have in their side. Piss poor. Dempster ridiculously out of his depth.

Pleased to see cheats didn't prosper today.

We’re 3 or 4 short of having a decent team.
Mansfield’s left back was class, and first half they could’ve been 2 up at least, but they weren’t.
The ref was crap.
The atmosphere was good, again!
I was entertained, and had a mental.
Happy with that.

Leggey held off two hours to calm down before tweeting! He was not a happy boy.

Apparently we warned the referee to watch Rose before and during the match with his diving.... another kid referee with zero experience and way out of his depth today.

We played poorly today and were rightly slated by our support at times, what’s that got to do with your antics? Diving, feigning and time wasting?

Well done on your massively financed team outplaying our decimated squad putting in a shitter.

Better performance certainly but same old failings
1) poor discipline - fair enough the ref was totally hopeless, but both our tactical and actual discipline was poor again
2) conceded again from a set piece
3) conceded 2 thoroughly soft goals
4) no/little communication between the Logan and the defence

By the sounds of it we caught port vale on a bad day and I guess their fans would know more so fair enough - but this game was there for the taking - how we played out the 5 minutes of injury time was a total joke.

Right, I've calmed down a bit now.

First things first, we were very poor today and I'd go as far as saying that was up there with the worst performances of last season. Having said that, we had a virtual reserve team out for much of it. Pope hasn't started hardly any games this season and I think that was Cullens first start too.

It's unsurprising therefore that Mansfield with a far bigger budget than ourselves and many less injuries, had the better of it. They won most second balls and put some dangerous stuff into the box. That being said, I only remember Brown making one save 1st half.

Once Montano went off injured we had no out ball and it was so one paced that it was easy for Mansfield to pick us off and attack with purpose.

On to the referee... I learnt that he was a 26 year old in his first season in the league. Why are they using us as guinea pigs? He was massively inconsistent, I. E. One of our players got booked for kicking the ball away, and Mansfield did it about 4 times with no punishment.

The penalty was a joke. No other referee would have given it. What was Legge meant to do? Crazy decision. He then completely lost control and didn't have a clue what decisions he was making. I even thought our corner that led to the equaliser was dodgy.

Finally, Mansfield players. Dear me you'd think they'd be a little more humble after a shit start to the season. Who does Bishop think he is? He's a mainly lower league journeyman who was shit last season and again today but then proceeds to wind the crowd up at any opportunity. That moment when he went down second half like he was dying and then got up was clearly cheating. What a prick. The other goader was the number 20, goading the bycars end after the penalty. Come on mate, you're a shit footballer in a terrible league, don't act like the big man. I would loved to have seen his face when we equalised the little prick.

I was pleased with the point in the end, not only because we were so poor but because the gamesmanship that we've faced (again) deserves nothing. We do very little of it, but see it every week from opposition.

Stagsnet's highest average rated player last season.
Stagsnet's MOTM 7 times.
Supporters' Player of the Season.

I don't think he's even that dirty, just bends the rules a bit. Bishop, what a guy.

*Apologies, should add that you never called him crap all of last season or dirty.

I pretty much said the same thing at the game, and it just got worse when Montano went off early in the game, so to score two was a decent effort even if we didn't play well.
