Hands up whoever thought Matt Rhead would get 15 goals this season, let alone by November.

Thought not.

Are Lincoln about to feel the Borehamwood backlash?

Any idea why they're struggling so much then? Very decent side on paper.

And how's Kamdjo been doing? Popular player here, surprised to see him loaned out.

Kamdjo has scored literally as you type that  He's doing fine, but something that really grates me about Boreham Wood is their use of Billy Clifford. In fairness, the guy is not great at the defensive side, but he's well above this division technically - was at their game v you lot and he totally dictated the game before the red. However they prefer to go with Connor Clifford and Kamdjo in the middle for defensive solidity with Howell (also quite defensive) coming in with a formation change.

It's quite tricky to pinpoint exactly where they've gone wrong so far - too much defensive focus is one. Previously they've been a bit lightweight (again perhaps why B. Clifford is out) so they have been bullied a bit by physical teams, I've seen fairly long balls into 5'7 MacDonald and 5'8 Morais, that just doesn't work at all. Individual errors as well have gifted away a number of points.

They've changed a number of players since the start of the season; Devera, Stephens, Jeffrey, Kamdjo and Vilhete have all come in as first team players, Tiryaki is rotated, all since the first game. I think at one point they'll go on a run and move well away from the relegation zone, but I've been saying that every week since about match day 2.

Thanks that's pretty conclusive. Basically sounds like no continuity and wrong tactics (inexperienced manager?), mixed with not enough physicality. Typical problems that a lot of struggling "footballing" sides seem to have in this league. With some of the players they've got, surely they've got to improve though.

And Clifford was class against us, by far B Wood's best player on the night.

Was the same issue under Allinson as it is Garrard.

Joking aside, I could do with Borehamwood getting beaten tonight. The more sides below us the better.
I would rather they didn't to be honest.... ;)
Hope they keep doing decent until December 28th so they bring a good crowd here, but going above us tonight.... Ugghh makes me shudder lol

Come on the Wood (And i don't mean Bradley) :gr:

Yeah fair enough, I don't think we did enough to win that. Positive that we still got something even when not at our best.

Saturday must yield three points, no other result is acceptable. We owe them more than a seeing to.

Yeah 5 defeats in a row against the might Welling and in those 5 games we've only scored bloody twice.

Hmm. Have a feeling thats two points dropped. Mentally a win tonight would have been a huge boost. Going 3rd and above the Mariners. Still your in a strong position. And surely you must be due a win against Welling?!

A gritty dug in point, even against the likes of Torquay and BW, 4 points on our travels this last few days is pretty decent. As others have said, Welling need to be put to the sword on Saturday.

You clearly didn't listen to the match, it's a point gained. That Boreham Wood side won't go down.

I don't care about Grimsby, I care about Lincoln, and where we finish on April 30th. Nothing else matters.

Nope I didnt listen to the match. Although I am wishing I did so I didnt have to sit through the tortuous rubbish that Man United served up.

Fair enough. An away point is always a positive and you have already beaten them at home. Of course you dont care about Grimsby. But all I am saying is it is an opportunity missed to get one over on them mentally.

I'm not sure going above them for 72 hours qualifies as a mental drubbing, but yes ok.

Onto Saturday.
