Important game for both clubs. They go top if they win, and we move within a point of the play offs, although teams have a game in hand. Don’t ask me why, but I’m confident we will win this . We seem to be getting a bit more settled at the back the last couple of games, and Mings is a great addition to the team. Villa to win 2.1, 33.916(2357)

Should be a good game. Yeah it will be two games in hand hence the importance of 3 points. If they win then fair enough, they put Leeds out of the top two.

I bet mate, that'll be a belting trip. Where're they staying over, in Brum?

We're on the 730 Saturday, in Preston by 1050. Should be a good one as well.

That stamp on Oliveira was disgusting. Mings has previous for this on Ibrahimovic too.
Well it’s hard to tell whether it was deliberate. He’s still a good defender mind. Hopefully he’s getting himself warmed up for the blues game.

When 99% of players have never stamped on the head of another player, and Mings has done it twice in the space of 2 years you have to ask yourself that maybe it is deliberate. Despisable little c***.

I think it was deliberate, but he’s got away with it because you just cannot tell.

It was intentional but having JT on the staff seems to help.....

I refer you to the game at ours when he should have been sent off and the ref gave us 1 foul all game, cheating bastards
I really don’t think having Terry on our touchline has much to do with saturdays decision and the overall decision to let Mings off. It’s obvious why he’s not been done for it.

Why is it obvious? he looks down at the man, he chooses not to avoid contact, at best it's negligent, at worst it's down right fucking sickening

There is no proof in that video replay that it’s deliberate. We can all say he’s got previous but that should not be the reason to punish him. I personally think it’s deliberate, but that means jack shit. You can’t punish someone on ifs and maybes. It will be put down as accidental. Most think it isn’t, but it’s not clear cut enough to punish him.

You do realise he wasn't punished because the referee "saw it" and not because it has been looked at, in real time you can see why the referee did not do anything but on review, regardless, that's a big fucking ban for a player who has previous for the same, it's intentional and dangerous.

So why is there no further action ? It does look worse in slow motion , but still not enough to say for definite.

No further action cos the referee mentioned it in his report so the FA can't look at it apparently.

It's horrific and clearly intended to hurt a fellow pro, fucking scumbag behaviour.

Yes it is a scummy thing to do. My argument is that there is just not enough to go on whether it was deliberate or not. It was a nasty injury .

If he wasn't a Villa player you'd be wanting him banned and screaming claret and blue murder.

Would I fuck. I’m just saying how I see it. I’ve not once made an excuse for him, as I do honestly think it was on purpose. I can see why he’s got away with it though, and wearing the claret and blue jersey doesn’t influence that decision.

Still don’t think he meant it. Slow motion makes everything look worse. He’s off balance with both feet in the air, he has absolutely zero control over where he lands whether he looks down or not. Only he knows for sure I guess.

I’ve watched it again full speed and it’s very hard for Mings to avoid him as it’s all happened so quick. Slow motion doesn’t look great, but even then it’s still hard to prove he meant it.
