Not sure it was a freak result. Walker kept the score down. If you had scored five or six I think it would have been a fair reflection.

We can't create. Keep Cook quiet and we don't have anything outside of Pointon. Just loads of cloggers with very limited ability. No pace. No creativity. Nothing.

I agree there are fair number of Notts fans trying desperately to convince others and perhaps themselves that we were a little fortunate today. Some of the stuff I'm reading is laugahble but that will be because of the awful run of form no doubt..

The 5 mins were freakish but we created loads and not for Walker's heroics it could and really should have been 5. Crowley was the standout quality yet again at Meadow Lane and Jatta can and is a menace.

Definitely not a freak result or even close. Best team won.

Completely agree with everything you've said there. If I were a Notts fan I'd be very happy with that performance.

Oh I agree Viking, definitely deserved the win but that's not to excuse some of our recent performances. We weren't fortunate, Bradford huffed and puffed but we could have scored five or six.
None the less we aren't as good, and Bradford aren't as bad as today's display .

Boring boring vale.
A decent team wins that, sorry Carlisle fans, but even though you were better than us you were still pretty poor.
The goal should’ve stood ( does it even itself out then?)
We won’t go up on this form, we’re only still where we are because everyone else is so shit.

Don’t apologise, we know we’re a really poor team. I thought it was a poor game between two poor teams. Obviously yours was an off day where as ours was the norm.

That’s the lucky thing so far, Walsall aside no one else has really been on good enough form. Crewe like us keep drawing and haven’t really closed the gap much, Doncaster are hit and miss especially at home, Notts had a bad patch before today, MK have lost two in a row you’d fancy them in and Grimsby have lost their last two.

We won’t keep getting away with it, odd one, booing them off after 2 league defeats in 17 games but 1 win in 7. Suppose that’s the only good thing, we are still picking up a point in most games despite being well below the levels we set.

I thought you were alright, we’ve played poorer sides this season, draw was probably right, Armstrong and Chislett traded blowing 1 on 1s and we hit the bar from a corner (not sure if we hit the post which the swivel shot from a corner second half?). But aside from that you defended well and had like us moments, neither side really had the quality in the final third today. You’ll stay up based on that.

Doesn't excuse any bad performance but shouldn't detract from this one either. I'm viewing it in isolation.

Totally agree about us not being as good and Bradford likely not as bad as today's showing, but that's common with these sort of games.

Any midfielder would have been stand out today. yours had the freedom of the park. No tackle or even press to put up with. Having one midfielder who can't run is bad enough but 2 is criminal.

Just seen Tshimanga bagged twice vs Grimsby

Back to haunt them like the VNL days #Yep
Artell didn't complain that the evil spirits had now possessed GTFC instead of STFC, but I can confirm the ghost of VNL past defending was present in the 6 GTFC assists in those 2 goals...

Fair play to Maynard for doing what everyone including my nan on her death bed said he should do and play everyone in their correct position. Amazing what can happen when you’re not trying to play some sort of Poundshop 4d chess.

Bradford lads, wow you were fuckin rubbish, who’s that number 8 I’m better than him.

Unfortunate goal from a Tranmere point of view v Donny .

The shorts didn’t just fall down by themselves though, there was help from the Donny player. Think most referees would have blown up for a foul there, maybe they play to different rules in the States? The referee was American.
Not that it would have significantly affected the result, another dismal away showing for Rovers.

It certainly was a weird one but think most would play on tbh unless they did think there a foul

There isnt a Swindon fan who was there today who could complain about that performance and result yet Holloway continues to shoot himself in the foot time and time again with his ridiculous comments about the fans. Its about time he shut up and let the team do his talking for him. He's been here 5 minutes and our support will still be there years after his demise.
One fan upset him last week by quite rightly pointing out that we were toothless and had 0 shots on target yet to hear his post match presser you would think the complete fan base had turned against him.
His comments about the pre match protest against THE REGIME as opposed to the team or indeed himself showed a complete lack of understanding about the clubs situation re ownership. He didn't apologise last week and he certainly wont this week. Twat!

Armstrong's reaction tells you everything you need to know. Free kick was the correct decision. He barely even complains, just strolls back smiling. He knows it was the right call.

People trying to make out this is a similar situation as last week are clutching at straws. Desperate wind up attempts. Two blatant handballs and a ball way over the line, are no where near the same as a goal ruled out for a foul, which is all about opinion.
Armstrong's reaction is typical Armstrong. He doesn't bitch and moan, as he knows there's no changing a bad call from an official. Do you actually see a foul there? Vale fans on twitter don't, and there are a couple on this very thread who don't see one either.

In fairness, there were 88 minutes left to play at that point. It's not as if it would have been a guaranteed winner, it's just a bad call.
