Dunkley out for another 6 weeks is horrible news. Bit worried about things

MK Dons tomorrow and I expect this to be the toughest match so far this season. Visitors on a very good run, Fleetwood, like many teams hampered by injuries so they just have to bite the bullet and get on with it
I really am not expecting anything from this game and at best a draw, realistically a loss 0-1

Is the game even going ahead? Most of our fans are expecting a wasted 400 mile round trip and you to postpone given the weather and lack of facilities to deal with it (not a dig, aside from us in a brand spanking new shiny stadium, I suspect a lot of clubs will struggle to get games on this winter).

Emails today saying don’t travel north of Preston tomorrow because of the weather… I sense a lot of wasted journeys.

Doncaster at home.

Its going to be absolutely pissing it down but I wouldn’t expect it to affect our pitch unless the river bursts over the flood defence.

Anyway we’re in dream land at the moment. 4 points from our last 6. That’s amazing for us. But Doncaster will be a different prospect, they are where they are for a reason and we are where we are for a reason. As much as we’re desperate for points to try and put up a fight in staying up, I just can’t make a case for us getting anything here.

Carlisle United 0-3 Doncaster Rovers

Travel news basically stating not to travel further north than Preston, can see this being called off

Yep not ideal. We will go Araujo and Williams at CB today which is better though, Naylor back into midfield alongside DJ

Morecambe at home today. I've seen a loss and a draw so far, hoping I can complete the set.

Is a competent referee to much to ask for this week please after the shit show at Harrogate?

Home game against a side bang out of form gives us a good opportunity to hopefully get back to winning ways after back to back defeats.

Predicted XI:

Boot
Tanton Williams Araujo Gordon
Naylor Oldaker
Markanday Dobra Berry
Grigg

Rinaldo (GK)
Grimes
Banks
Mandeville
Jacobs
Colclough
Madden

The Doncaster squad will have travelled yesterday right?

Shit for fans but I can’t see it being off.

Just arrived In Carlisle.

Unless the weather worsens drastically there’s no chance this will be off. It’s not even windy (yet), just a lot of rain but our pitch has good drainage so that won’t be a problem.

This is why every club should move to Stadium:MK with our lovely undersoil heating.

Undersoil heating doesn't clear the paths and roads of the surrounding area though, which is a consideration when refs decide whether can go ahead.

convinced at this point that Sam Austin is a social experiment - how long can someone get away with being a professional footballer despite clearly not being one

With the potential weather being so bad and travel not recommended in certain areas I do wonder why matches in this areas are not cancelled automatically.

I was looking forward to having my Saturday ruined with terrible anti-football. Not sure what to do now. AH nevermind, I'll stick the Colchester game on.

Sorry you lads, called off as you will know at 10.30 this am after discussions
with both clubs. I expect some of you will have already set off before the postponement and yes, you can be rightly p...off

Hardly surprising with the weather predicted. Personally I hate watching matches where the weather dictates the game.

Got the Notts game on, pretty slow going so far. Almost like a pre-season game the tempo.

And so it starts . . . . It does make me chuckle that you can play FA Cup matches, World Cup qualification matches, International matches etc etc on good quality 4 & 5G pitches but the good old EFL won’t allow it. All top teams now train regularly on 4 & 5G pitches, and there isn’t a player in Div 2 who won’t have played on these pitches, but no let’s keep grass and accept postponed matches with all the knock on effects these have for clubs and fans alike. I guess it’ll take an unfinished season, or more clubs struggling with missing income from called off matches before the penny drops. And don’t forget the community income generated from a stadium and pitch that can be used for 365 days a year . . . . . I’m 61 years old, played decent level football and have followed it closely all my life. I love football on grass, but it’s just not viable anymore with our winters I’m afraid. Keep grass for those who can afford it, Premier League & Championship, all others have the option of either, depending on finances.

If any call offs want a comedy to watch, put ours on. Watch us try play out and play on a slippery surface against one of the top teams in the league :ffs:
