I felt bad for you today. As you say, way too much knocking it about between your central defence and midfield with no purpose other than to keep the ball.

Garner looks on borrowed time to me. Once you start doing interviews like today, which were completely devoid of the reality of the situation, then there's only one outcome.

Charlton should be doing better than 14th in league one.
Spot on assessment, there is obviously a lot of talent in that team but the slow, dull possession football negates their ability, christ that manager is a knob.

Interesting how the table is shaping up. Top 3 are running away now (odds on the team that finishes third blows the play offs!)

Then it’s really condensed and the relegation zone is getting cut adrift. As it stands 36 points keeps you up.
I really cannot see Cambridge getting anywhere near 36 points if they keep Bonner. He has plainly lost the dressing room and has no idea how to stop the rot.

I wonder if Posh will be the team that will send them down in April's derby?

Jayden Stockley banned for three games after the referee missed his stamp on Smudge... another victim of Smudges mind games!

Surprised the referee didn't see it!

He's absolutely brilliant at winding opposition players up...and they fall for it all the time!

I thought their manager said we played anti football? Perhaps he should look closer to home?

He didn't get the better of Paterson though

Technically he did as he got the reaction, the referee just failed to deal with it!
He went down like a bitch and got shown up for it. Then you lot claimed it was a stamp.

ITs worked 5 or 6 times in the past 12 months so he is doing something right, I just want to know what kind of stuff he says to get strikers reacting like they do... usually followed by him grinning at them with that gap in his teeth.

Lad is bonkers.

You find this acceptable but not time-wasting or game management, both are acts of shithousing

Not really, Smudge doesn't cheat, if the Strikers weak and fall for it then lash out then that's their issue. I would be furious for example if Harrison lashed out at a defender and cost us because the defender gave him some stick.

Feigning injury is cheating

He feigned it v Pato.
He didn’t, he got trod on, Patterson got booked, was a bit naughty.

Hard as nails Smudge, alright for a former Sjoke fan. One of our very few youth successes in recent years.

I thought Paterson was lucky to get away with that one to be honest. With a better ref he might have gone off and it would be another notch for Smith shithousery. Like others have said, winding the opposition up is not cheating...it's actively encouraged in cricket. If the opposition player is stupid and immature enough to lash out then more the fool them.

Good Pod on Ale and Vale with Smudge this weekend actually, he is asked about it and he doesn’t actually say anything, usually just smiles at them with his gap in his teeth and winds them up with the odd pinch and just being horrible. They usually sledge him with how ugly he is and he just doesn’t say anything.

Quite interesting listening regarding Aspin, Smurf, the Bruno experience and how Swindon after the first leg did our team talk for the second with the arrogance they felt. Worth a listen.

He has been a great servant and played a ridiculous amount of games for his age, he has only missed 2 or 3 league games since his debut in 2016 which is nuts.
