Decent day for us all in. Only really donnie ruining the fun
Yep decent day. Franchise were bound to improve a bit and so they should. All they ever do is throw money at it. Not that it gets them anywhere.

I don't think we're gonna be in the top half for much longer to be fair.
I mean to be honest the current top 7 have been the best sides so wouldn’t shock me if that’s how it ends up in some order. The rest of us can fight for mid-table supremacy.

Mitch has apologised for costing us three points (technically 2) on social media so fair play for fronting up. Live and learn. Been quality since he’s come back in.

This could well be the worst Gills team I have seen, and I have seen some shit over the years.
Tranmere were poor but should have beaten us easily.
Looking over our shoulders big time.

Grimsby have lost more games than Tranmere in 22nd that’s a mad stat considering they are well in the play off race!

Overall I think a point is about right. Felt we were in control of the game while we had eleven on the pitch. After that it was similar to the Crewe game with us defending our box manfully then a mental error letting them get a goal.

Will take it anyway with scores elsewhere. Could be worse. Shame we’ll be without Mitch now as he has been fantastic since coming back into the team. Thought Headley put in another outstanding performance for us today.

1-1 FT, a result I would have taken all day long at HT but feels a bit like 2 dropped at FT after absolutely dominating that 2nd half from start to finish. Red card all day long as well btw, no debate on that.

I thought we were poor in the final third today, which is probably a consequence of losing our 1st choice front 3 from the start of the season in Berry, Grigg & Markanday when the goals were flowing. The build up through the thirds was fine, but we just couldn’t seem to work it into goal scoring opportunities, and in the end our goal came from the only place it was probably ever going to come from for us, which was a Vale mistake but credit to Dobra for his press to make it happen. Cook’s already alluded to 1 or 2 coming in and I would bet my life on those players being attackers to replace atleast one of Markanday & Berry.

Was great having Naylor back in the middle today, we’ve missed his energy in there and that’ll be big for us until the end of the season. Thought all the new lads did well in different ways, but McFadzean stood out a mile for me, what a player he is. People can talk about his age all day long, but when you’re that one step ahead in the brain, that’s what makes the real difference.

Onto Bromley Tuesday, hopefully get a win and try put a run together to set us up for the run in.

But you were taken over by a wealthy American owner. No way should a club be doing so poorly with a yank owner..

Bradford were very good today credit where its due they actually look a better side without Cooky which is strange but that does happen sometimes.

I think it's more about us getting our first-choice midfield back and the form of certain players. I thought we'd really struggle without him, but hasn't been the case so far.

This league is much of a muchness apart from really Walsall being much better than the rest and Carlisle/morecambe being much worse than the rest.

It for me is the only main hope Carlisle have that if somehow they could hit form apart from Walsall all other games are possible chances.

Felt confident all week that we’d win and made the best form team in the country look absolutely atrocious. Alex Pattison is genuinely world class and when we put out our first choice 11 we’re a match for anyone.
Expected so much more from Walsall but they were just poor long ball merchants, boot it forward asap and hope for a knock down? Is that it? Not done the ‘one man team’ tag much good today.
Morecambe at home on Tuesday where in Bradford City tradition we’ll probably cock up.
Also special mention to Danny Johnson, I can’t remember that many penalty saves in our favour over the years but he’s missed two in three seasons.
I knew Danny Johnson was missing the moment they handed him the ball. Probably should be the end of his time here.

We are quite direct but usually not in the way we were today - we just didn't get going today which I think is more down to your guys' gameplan and performance. Fair play to you.

Still 12 points clear after a bad day at the office where most things that could go wrong, went wrong. So not that bad really. Go again Tuesday at Fleetwood, hopefully with a couple more bodies through the door too.

Finally we’ve both scored against and beaten Harrogate at home, never looked likely until the Harrogate keeper let one in under his body. Hard fought game as usual, the Harrogate number 5, I’ll call him cheap suit, how he got away with fouling Ironside all game is beyond me.

Feels like we're having a few too many of these games where we're missing lots of chances and not winning. Could be nothing and we'll sneak some later in the season we maybe don't deserve, but with the league this close it feels like a big 2 points dropped.

Did we miss lots of chances? More than them for sure, but I thought we were largely really poor. As is always the case when we decide to set up like that.

This type of shit is happening more and more from opposing clubs when we beat them, hopefully Walsall act fast and ban the mouth breather.

Need to make an example of these people. Someone of that age saying it is mad.

The plus about it being on social media is the evidence is there and it stays there. With a chant it’s harder to prove. Hope they throw the book at them.

I would have taken a point before the game but after the first half we were really in control and looked the stronger side. I think we go on to win 2-0 with 11 men. Chesterfield had a lot of the ball but looked very short up front. Barring a silly mistake from Sang we might have even held on with 10.

Silly challenge for the red. 10 years ago it's not even a booking but now the players go down like a boulder off helvellyn has landed on their foot and a referee who wants the game to be all about him, it's a sending off sadly. There was no malice in the challenge but it is what it is. Other than that I thought the ref was appalling...the very definition of a 'homer'. Zero consistency all game and falling for antics consistently. I knew from early on that he was one of these that 'has' to make decisions to be noticed and suspected that a sending off would come. The worst sort of ref. When will they learn that the best referees are the ones you hardly notice. Silly to give a very inexperienced game. Give him Salford v Accrington, where there's not the pressure of a big crowd.

Dobra is a decent player but he seems to struggle with gravitational forces...his first thought is to go down and the ref bought it a lot. Shame, as he could offer so much more influence. He's one of those modern sort of players who's first thought is to try and win fouls rather than get on with the game.

2 winnable games coming up and results generally went OK for us, so we move on.

Compared to the MK Dons game this was a very poor performance from Fleetwood, and this was reflected all over the pitch. Take nothing away from Carlisle who particularly in the 1st half never let up and chased every ball, Fleetwood just couldn't get into the match. While there was something of an improvement in the 2 Nd, it was Carlisle's day. I wish them well in their endeavours to stay in this league, just make sure you Carlisle lads win your next home game, then you could really put the sh....s up those teams above you. Of course Fleetwood still have plenty of work to do,......
