Fair enough. Maybe 'fall apart' wasn't the right phrase. Just seemed that 3 of you all felt Maddison going off was a big reason for your performance in this game.

Oh it was, or at least I believe it was. If its going to be a common theme this season that we struggle when he doesn't play it will become a big issue because like you say it would be worrying to be that reliant on an 18 year old but I believe that Mowbray will be able to come up with a plan B and a way to win matches for when he isn't playing or is out of form.

I will be honest, I am worried. However, our attack wasn't the only poor area of the field for us today.

Well done Walsall, basically played like we did first three games of the season.
Harsh reality is, our players will be injured. So who will step up if Maddison or Armstrong are unavailable? Murphy is a good option to have and Swanson will have something to prove. Thought Willis was poor yesterday as was Reda. Thats 4 conceded in to games now, poor goals some of them.

Dan - I don't think anyone has ever said were going to win the league. I do still think that AA will score 20+ goals if he is hear for the new season. I do also think Maddison will one day play Premier League football too. I think with another player or two, we will make Playoffs.

I don't recall Cov deserving on a penalty. But if you say so, if all of the three times we hit the post would have gone in that would have been 5-2.

3 times? I remember your left back clipping the post with a long range effort. All your other efforts were saved, blocked or off target as far as I remember.

We were well beaten anyway but can't remember you hitting the post 3 times.

Yep the run our right winger went on when it was 3 on 2 clipped the post.

And the cross that went the wrong side of your keeper ended up with a shit that hit the post.

And the aforementioned shot by our LB

...and we should of had a penalty when Reda Johnson dragged Bradshaw to the ground but it's swings and roundabouts.
Well, they both had hold of each other's shirts but whatever. On the balance of play Walsall deserved the win and I'm not really sure what we're discussing here.

That shot was 100% cleared off the line by our defender after the cross that went on the inside of the keeper and unless the angle is deceiving it looks as if your right winger just toe pokes the ball wide when through near the end.

Who cares anyway, well beaten anyway on the day.
