Think this is a little bit of a premature sacking, Wolves had a really quick transition and signed a lot of new players towards the end of the summer. Clearly it's taking a bit of time to gel and surely you'd give Zenga that extra bit of leeway, we had a slow start under Carlos last season but once the squad he put together gelled we flew up the league. Can see a big name manager getting this with Wolves foreign owners seeming a bit flash. Sven anyone?

Few rumours of a bust up or fall out being behind this. Andrea Butti was also removed from his role, which seemed to be a cross between a director of first time football/chief programme seller depending on who you speak to.

It will be interesting to see if Wolves take the sensible option of someone like Sam Allardyce or go for another Zenga type...

Personally I don't want what many would consider the sensible option, our youth team seems to be on the verge of a leap, everytime you see highlights of them they are playing modern, fluid possession football, you can pretty much pause the highlights at any stage and see triangles of options on for most players, and we have a host of England u19 and below players. My worry that having spent years cultivating that sort of culture that going to a manager that doesn't look to play that style would effectively cut that arm off.

The owners highlighted the academy and it's work as part of what made the club attractive, lets see if they mean it and how patient they will be.

Paul Ince fancies the Wolves job according to today's Mirror. He is quoted as saying
"The club needs a lift and the city a buzz around the place - I can bring that"

It could well be our interim manager Rob Edwards if he wins the next two games, he's well liked at the club. It seems the club would rather appoint a British manager.

A shortlist of Lambert, Pearson, Ince, Edwards & Sherwood.

Last week they were discussing whether they would be happy or not with Andre Villas-Boas.

Don't think any of us expected it to happen to be fair, he was just at a shortish price on skybet. Currently you have managers like Sir Alex and Luis Felipe Scolari on the betting, now that is laughable.

Lambert odds on favourite now, 1/4 being the best odds you can get on him!

Ola John, think there have been more sighting of the lock ness monster than of him

Jed Wallace started off well up until the Birmingham game, was shit against Burton and has hardly played since then (over a month ago)

Our recruitment policy of quantity over quality (aka the Rotherham approach) has screwed over our season. Most of the players we have brought in either don't play or are no better than what we have (bar a couple).

Sadly Zyro and Graham wont be back till next summer at the earliest.

Fosun seem to be relying on kevin thelwell to run things, Which would partly explain why we're in this position.

I struggle to see what he has accomplished for the club since he joined. Scouting Afobe maybe? But anyone with a pair of eyes could discover his talent, he was from Arsenal's academy for christ sake.

He seems to have gained several unnoticed promotions since he arrived in KJ's tenure, but he doesn't seemed to have done anything worthy of note.

Seems a very underwhelming appointment but maybe hard to judge him on his last 2 jobs considering the mess those clubs were in.

What would be the general feeling amongst Wolves fans if it's Lambert?
