Why is this surprising? We are watching the 4th tier of English football. There simply aren't that many truly outstanding footballers this far down the pyramid for it to be anything more than what it is. Compare it to the 4th tier in any other division and it's leaps and bounds ahead though. We need to accept it for what it is and stop expecting more.
It's more just you expect to see a little more of a difference between the teams fighting at the top of the table and at the bottom.

Just from watching us this season (who are just as shite to passably mediocre) it's just been sort of shockingly apparent.

Don't know if it's just rose tinted glasses but I remember being able to visibly see where teams were roughly based on their performances. Now, and for the past 2 seasons, it's just much of a muchness, at least to me.

It's less to do with the actual quality in terms of the pyramid, just in terms of how the difference between all the teams in it.

You do. It's called the League Table.

It’s a good derby to have though, not any bother, no hostility and it’s not toxic like when we play those across the m1
Its not even a derby.

Ha ha. I mean with the eye test.
Being honest dont think there is a side i have seen this season that were as good as Orient last season seen flashes from a couple of teams but nothing that really stands out as such and we are hardly ripping it up again either lol.

Have those racist fuckwits been identified at Bradford? I have no problem with players being abused providing there's no discrimination. Once race or whatever comes into it, it becomes a problem.

3 losses in a row for us. Our away form is pretty abysmal and Mullin is looking like a shell of himself at the moment.

Matt Smith took us apart, couldn't handle him all game and there were poor debuts for our January signings. 2/3 games at home now which helps and I think come the end of the season we will have enough to just get into the automatic spots.

As for Carver, the idiot from Carlisle on here, I think you'll find most Wrexham fans are really pleased to be a couple of points from the top 3 with games in hand in our first season back here. Your obsession with us is a bit strange to say the least.

Enjoy relegation :)

Did Nigel Clough himself edit the EFL highlights for this game? Somehow missed out McGoldrick having one hacked off the line, Flint heading into his own net, Jones putting his one-on-one over the bar and the late penalty appeal. But a completely non-threatening Flint knockdown into Stone's arms and a McGoldrick cross-shot cleared away at the near post apparently make the cut.

Looks to have been a good game at Colchester where former Lincoln City managers Danny and Nicky Cowley got a 3-3 draw in a game ex-Lincoln City striker Tom Hopper got booked and conceded a penalty before ex-Lincoln City striker John Akinde came off the bench to set up current Lincoln City player Ali Smith for their first, which was followed by ex-Lincoln City winger Harry Anderson setting up their second goal before the ex-Lincoln City striker Tom Hopper set up ex-Lincoln City winger Harry Anderson for their third.
Not surprising result in many ways.
It seems the Cowley brothers have the evil eye over FGR.
I believe when with Lincoln they never lost a single match against the village team.

I’ve just seen the weekends highlights, i didn’t expect that wimbledon would suffer from such a dreadful reffing decision themselves, i mean how on gods earth is that not a penalty? :ffs:

Indeed. Oh well, that's L2 and dreadful refs for you. I'm more concerned about racist abuse.

Never get too upset and mardy about awful refereeing decisions that impact a match result because you won't have to wait too long before you benefit from the same scenario.

Let's be honest the players at this level aren't great , so why should we expect the officials to be?

Very concerning also.

There does sadly seem to be an increase in such behaviour, not just in football but from society.

Though i suppose when the party governing the country behave in such manner it’s no surprise regular folk do.

Bad times.

Well he was suspended jacob, he had to do something!

I can see why notts score the goals they do, and mcgoldrick is the best opposition player i’ve seen this season. Though both were in back pockets for the vast majority of the game everyone could also tell the quality of jones and langstaff.

How not to defend a 2-0 lead. Did similar at Newport when we conceded 4 in 20 mintes to go 4-2 down a few weeks back. Can't be collapsing like that and expect to win games.

Noncey behaviour, lost his head at the Mill. Too much heat

He just got marked out of the game bless him and threw his dolly out the pram, it was hilarious and we were all embarrassed for him.

However, it’s a complete nonsense for an investigation over something daft, move on.

Yeah just needs to be told by his employers to pick his bottom lip up next time. Shocking attitude especially in the second half, pretty much gave up when it got tough.
