Now Ollie Banks has been given a 3 match ban for unseen violent conduct vs Fleetwood. Fancy doing that when we've already got less players than the average Sunday team following a massive night on the gear. What a tool. Makes the recall of I think injured Tim Akinola from D&R make a little more sense

Cheeky bastards them at FA aren’t they. Any retrospective bans incoming for any of these SHITE refs we’ve had all year or what?

Ffs, just what we need in the middle of a crisis. Been playing well Ollie as well, his pass in the build up to our goal at Bradford was absolute world class.

Yea the forced change in formation to a 4-1-4-1 has foxed teams I think on how to pick Banks up. He's been doing a lot with that bit of freedom, he's really good with time on the ball. I'm annoyed at him for doing whatever it is he's done though. I presume it's something or we'd have challenged it and at least kicked the can down the road for a bit.

Another tough game that we could have done without given the circumstances (now made even worse with Banks suspension).

Positives are that Berry & Colclough are hopefully gonna be fit enough to be back on the bench at least, and Akinola has been recalled from Dagenham so numbers will hopefully be up.

With what’s available we will probably look like this tomorrow:

Thompson
Sheckleford Naylor Grimes Araujo
Oldaker Mandeville
Markanday Dobra Hobson
Drummond

Boot (GK)
Cook
Horton
Akinola
Colclough
Berry
Mohuiddan

Would take a draw right now if offered.

Add Chesterfield to the EFL/FAs Vendetta List of League Two clubs.

Punch? Headbut? Stamp? Kick out? Take ya pick.

It's ok all the bad refereeing decisions that have gone against you will all be evened out when you play Port Vale as the refs all have a massive agenda against them, you'll probably be given 5 or 6 penalties or something.

The ref at vale park today is James bell. In the last 4 games we have had him we have lost all 4 games without scoring. Vale 0 Lincoln 2, vale 0 Salford 1, vale 0 Carlisle 1 and Scunthorpe 2 vale 0. Plus we have a terrible record against Cheltenham and a terrible record for new year's day games and have something like 10 players out injured so the 10/3 on offer for a Cheltenham win is very good value for anyone who likes a bet.

All points to a comfortable home win

Beat 2nd and 3rd (at the time at least I think), then lose away at Barrow would be very us, away form also far from great.

Absolutely massive news for us! Ben Garrity returns after over 2 months out, the bad run beginning with his injury.

Big unexpected boost.

Ripley dropped after his clangers v Grimsby replaced by Ben Amos for his Vale league debut and Nathan Smith is finally brought back in from the cold.

Curtis comes in after his superb cameo against Cheltenham a month ago and although Stockley misses out Tolaj appears to finally get a start up front where he should be.

That feels much better. Now need the performance to match. No excuses for Moore today he needs a result.

Looks like it’s finally hit the fan with Debrah out the 18 so 2 pure defenders in the back line without the messing around.

Just when things are starting to go well - Tsaroulla and Macari both ill and Ness injured. Nightmare.

Don’t like the look of McDonald on the right given him being a left sided player and short on fitness. Josh Martin probably gets exposed at wing back against a better side as well.

Oh well, you pies - hopefully Crowley and Didzy have blinders, then we’ve got a chance

Ripley can’t say him being dropped isn’t warranted. You don’t do what he did on that third Grimsby goal and not get held accountable. If that was an outfield player they’d be hooked so should be no different for him. Glad that bum Debrah is out the team too.

Huge news Garrity is back. Not expecting great things from him initially as been out for months but just a bit of bite in midfield at least now. Looking forward to seeing how Tolaj does playing his actual position, guess it’s finally come in on Moore roulette.

Swapped the front three of Taylor, Edwards and Thorn for Hopper, Anderson and Gordon. Taylor and Edwards will be the big misses from that, but they both played 90 on Sunday so was always likely to need switching. Not sure we'll offer much of a threat going forwards though without Taylor, Edwards or Tovide today.

7 changes and players back in, looks like a rocket so let’s see if they show a reaction. Will learn a lot more about Daz and his squad this afternoon and if they can show something to justify their hefty price tag.

Rather have Stockley in but that’s the strongest XI we’ve been able to put out since the Wimbledon victory.

The one change for Rovers is Tom Davies returning from suspension at the back. Zak Bradshaw seemed to struggle at left-back v Barrow but keeps his place and no left-back cover on the bench. Sol Solomon, a striker stuck in midfield again.

The Shrimps first league win at home this season looks inevitable.

Slightly weakened team from us with Allen and Matt dropping to the bench. Probably just congestion reasons.

Absolutely ridiculous header from Green for our goal there. Frustrating to give up the lead so quickly and easily though.

Accrington looking the likelier here, we need to get our foot on the ball.

1-0 up at Chesterfield thanks to Callum Hendry. Another Liam Kelly assist.

Dropping Hogan looks a wise choice.

Good team see Crewe's manager has lost the plot like last season.
