Carlisle played very well this afternoon and on that showing I would be staggered if they got relegated. However, I always thought that if we ran at them we would cause havoc, that’s how Longy got the first and the last 7 minutes was like the Alamo. Hopefully the nature of the win will be a springboard to get a few more wins and hopefully get into the top 3.

Draw a fair result there - thought we maybe shaded it but really not a lot in it. Looked like two mid table teams to me.

Was a strange game at times. Both teams certainly early it threatened to be quite open but then never quite delivered. Thought Colwell for you and Thomas were good. Certainly the latter managed to fashion some half chances for himself.

Moore needs to go same again at Doncaster not change things up again. Let this combination especially Tolaj and Curtis develop an understanding as that’s a large part of our problem. Just very little cohesion in our play as nobody gets to play alongside each other long enough.

Fair fucks to Walsall, battered us into submission second half. Familiar story for us in that kind of game, played our football and knocked it about until a good team started putting it on us physically and we couldn’t stand up to it.

Controversially, maybe, I’ve about had my fill of Dan Crowley. Rather hoping someone buys him this month.

Big win. Nice to see that we've dragged more teams into the mire but then on the other hand, frustrating that Accy and Swindon picked up late wins.

The bottom of this league is total arse and anyone could go this season. This window is massive for us.

Missed the game today so have nothing to report other than 3 losses on the bounce looks wank. Need defensive reinforcements and a striker or two pronto. Thanks for reading.

No surprise how that second half went. We’ve got players who love it when we’re on top but are a fucking liability when we’re under the cosh.

Walsall have the same street smarts and game management that the top 3 had last season. We’re amateurs in comparison.

Result as predicted. It sounded like we had a few decent chances in the first half, didn't take any and were fairly toothless in the second, as the Shrimps turned the screws.

Unless both Adkins goes and we get some investment in the playing squad Rovers are going down.

Carlisle sadly just went into a panic it’s not that unusual when you have been losing nearly week after week……they almost flogged it vs Accrington also.

It’s why characters as much as quality are the key factor in that January window, can sign people better on the ball but we need a couple of cool heads who would have made that game 3 points instead of none.

I said this when leaving the ground in a rather reactionary fashion but I kind of agree. Today felt like the perfect example of him being a double-edged sword - first half he was crisp and everything went through him, had time and space and looked the best player on the pitch. Second half, he was the most detrimental player in the side - overplayed and put us under pressure constantly and dropped too deep when we needed to get up the pitch.

I think he’s a brilliant player and when he’s ’on it’ or up against a couple of cloggers then he’s great - the problem is that’s usually when we’re playing against inferior sides and you could argue, we should probably win those games without him anyway.

He did also run the length of the pitch and nearly score the goal of the season late in the game so I can’t reconcile it fully but he does personify the stuff I don’t like about this team which either makes him a culprit or an undeserving scapegoat

Pretty happy with a point overall despite conceding a sloppy equaliser late on. We had two centre halves available both carrying niggles, the first of which went off after 15 minutes and we ended the game without any on the pitch. Cook would've had a day out if he didn't go off.

Jumped up a couple of places in the table as well. Hopefully we can get some bodies through the door before Harrogate on Saturday.

Think both sides will see that as two points lost, at 1-0 we were so comfortable then for Baldwin to give away such a soft pen out of nothing it was such a Bradford City thing to do, how Baldwin gets in the 11 is criminal btw absolute liability.
Then (think Baldwin lost the ball again for the second), Byrne chasing back at 1mph and Walker letting one through his legs that my 3 year old could’ve saved just about summed the day up. Pure calamity for our equaliser but that’s two games straight Alexander’s subs have changed the game.
Cook injuring himself looked worryingly serious, what does a one man team do when it loses its only player? Sanderson and Kavanagh are such powderpuff replacements I hope January reinforcements aren’t far behind.

Yeah this is basically it. He’s obviously our most talented player, maybe even the most gifted in the league, but he just sucks in everything around him with how much he wanders about demanding to be given the ball. If he plays well then we play well and vice versa, but as with us as a team he’s a bit of a flat track bully.

We’re never going to get a replacement who can do some of the stuff he does, but overall someone who can just play an obvious pass quickly rather than do three Cruyff turns, nutmeg four people and then either play a pass you’ve not even noticed or lose the ball trying another spin could be more useful for us as a team overall.

Kieran Green has become a bit of a cult hero amongst our fans since being made to look like a Sunday League player by Crowley at your place; so can you just sell the fecker before a week on Saturday then please..

Really feel for the Carlisle fans, they didn't deserve that. They seemed absolutely stunned.

As for Crewe, what a great way to win the game. Hopefully we use this as a springboard out of the mediocrity we find ourselves in. We set ourselves high standards earlier in the season, and I don't accept some of what I'm seeing atm.

The manager needs to sort his shit out. The way he is setting up the midfield is pretty unorthodox (I would argue insane). You have Sanders deep, Tabiner advanced with seemingly no defined role, and then you have Holicek as an inverted right midfielder. Absolutely no hope of progressing the ball with that midfield shape, not to mention the huge gaps out of posession.

Going forward, I would start both Sanders and Powell, with Holicek advanced of them. I'm not convinced Sanders and Powell will work together, but if it means a more conventional midfield shape, I would be happy to give it a go.

Yea the forced change in formation to a 4-1-4-1 has foxed teams I think on how to pick Banks up. He's been doing a lot with that bit of freedom, he's really good with time on the ball. I'm annoyed at him for doing whatever it is he's done though. I presume it's something or we'd have challenged it and at least kicked the can down the road for a bit.
He’s admitted it hasn’t he? Someone at game today reckoned he punched someone

I think Darren Moore is the most underrated tactician in 4th division football.
Playing a striker as a striker, was quite frankly bizarre, playing a winger as a striker ( missed our 2 best chances) was more like it.
Taking off aforementioned mentioned striker ( having his best game as a striker) to be replaced by a wanker ( who wasn’t that bad , but still)
Looking forward to Donny away.
Please sing congratulatory sings about him, a sizeable amount of our support will surely join in.
12th beckons.
If we’re lucky.

I know it’s an age old thing but I’m just about sick of referees having a direct impact on the results of football matches, embarrassingly shite and he was the first time we had him this season.

Aden Baldwin is an absolute idiot.

I said over on BT, that the biggest concern with what he did in giving the pen away is how mindless it was.

No situational awareness given we were in first half stoppage time and no footballing intelligence to just shepherd Dallas to the byline/out towards the corner. No, he sprints 30/40 yards and just jumps in, in the box. Absolute idiot.

He should be dropped after that. Platt was always a decent defender but nothing special and yet he would easily walk into this team and be out best centre half. By some margin too.

actually a bit sad that Baldwin is struggling but not surprised, doesn’t have the mental attributes.

If it’s any consolation though, we all love Matty Platt, player of the season so far. I thought he was largely great today as well up against Lowe and Matt, just far too many box entries for him to deal with in the end.

I'd be getting rid of Baldwin at the earliest opportunity - absolutely bobbins. Hopefully, Johnson will be fit enough to make his way into the first eleven. Huntingdon our best centrehalf which is saying something.
