Disappointing point for Mansfield today, Maris got stretchered off and Hawkins had to come off at HT. one of the worst injury crisis I can ever remember at Mansfield I think.

Can see why Oldham are struggling and I’m sure they say same about us.

Have to say I’m disappointed again. We’ve only lost once but cannot seem to break this run of draws. The manager keeps threatening to change things up but hasn’t really done it yet. We had the chances to win it today and in general are playing pretty well but we’ve got to turn some of these draws into wins

Bad injury crisis's seem to follow Clough Jr around, doesn't seem to be a coincidence...

Said before the match I'd probably be happy with a point against Orient. They were comfortably the best team we've played, but seemed a bit too focused on playing it up to their big lump of a forward, Smith. We were edging it, but as soon as Orient went a goal down they completely stepped it up and it felt like they would go on to win.

Good chances for either side, and I reckon with VAR we'd have had a penalty and maybe more, but the ref was okay. Two evenly matched sides cancelling each other out.

Our first 3,000+ crowd for a league game this season, which is a big deal for us.

Draw was fair overall, I was again happy with our overall efforts but we aren't keep clean sheets away from home and recently we've been letting in the first goal in games.

Once we fell behind I was again like last week at Port Vale, very happy with our response to fight our way back into the game and maybe with a bit more care, might have stolen in it - But Barrow themselves equally could've stolen it.

Both sides could've had penalties at some point, Omar Beckles had his shirt nearly pulled off him in the second half and there were a few risky moments from ourselves too man handling some Barrow attackers.

Jackett doesn't seem to want to use what squad depth we have, won't bring off Smith and Arhcibald unless he has too it seems, both players nearly out on their feet at the end but Dan Kemp and Tyrese Omotoye not called upon.

Impressed with the Barrow side, Coopers made them a totally different animal compared to last season and IMO have a shot at the top 7. Also was impressed with the improvement of the away toilets, miles ahead of what they was when we last visited!

I’d quite like to see Steve Bunce manage a football team. That would be a hoot. I don’t follow boxing much, but he is probably my favourite sports commentator.

It would be like having Dave Bassett back in football management.

Seriously though, I do enjoy his boxing punditry. Not everyone’s cup of tea but you can’t deny the bloke knows his stuff.

Congrats to you guys, not going to lie it’s a little bit raw right now but on to the next game. Two good teams going at it and to be fair you’re not going to win every game.

Good luck to Sutton any way. You definitely belong at this level.
Experimental361 have Sutton United as one of the 3 best teams in this division, along with Bradford and FGR:

Looking at the results today, you can see Neil Cox leaving Scunthorpe and Chris Beech is slowly walking towards the chop at Carlisle.

The board do have to go yes, and we do seem to be going round in circles yes. But the immediate and primary issue is preserving our league status so that needs fixed first and foremost. Going down under these owners would be the end, we’d never get back. It’s vital we stay up and we aren’t going to under Beech. Our form over the last 35 games gets us relegated if it was over the course of a season. He isn’t turning this round.

Its got Tranmere in the worse attack worse defence section. Credibility issues there.

Huge problems for Town fans entering - or not - the ground at FGR.

‘Hi @FGRFC_Official - care to explain this farce again? Oversold tickets then to get inside, can’t see, kids can’t see and then to be told to sit on hill to then at half time to be told to clear off despite valid ticket? Complete shambles and I’ll be seeking full refund’

Others had tickets that didn’t scan and after trying a couple of times still not scanning being refused entry.

It was a bit of a joke in the home stands too, loads of people having tickets (even season tickets) rejected at the turnstiles, then sent to get replacements from the ticket office, but those not necessarily working either. There have been some issues at several games this season like that, but yesterday was the worst by far. But no excuse for overselling or what happened to your fans who had to watch from outside.

Pretty much stolen a point. Not bothered. Poor game though between two poor teams. Growing tired of Adams. Then again half this squad isn't good enough.
Managed to watch it on a Russian channel. Looked like a game between a poor side and a very poor side. We headed one off the line which was good defending and they hit the bar when it seemed easier to score. Those apart, they never troubled us and we certainly never troubled them. On that showing, the likes of Orient, FGR and PV won't be losing sleep over either of us.

The scoreline of Mansfield 0-0 Oldham accurately reflected the game. Both teams offered next to nothing but neither deserved to lose.

Our attacking lacked enthusiasm. Our achilles is high balls which we can't defend. After that, we have no pace whatsoever. We have scored a few but I don't think we have yet made a defence run towards their own goal.

Obviously disappointed to lose at home to Swindon but take consolation that FGR remain top of table.
Actually the whole day was one of the best I’ve enjoyed for quite a while.
Swindon fans invaded Stroud in morning of match in big numbers. The whole town heard them singing but because it was a lunchtime kick-off, there was no drunken nastiness.
I always catch a bus to game as I did yesterday, but already an hour and half before kick-off the bus-stop was full of Swindon supporters. Sod’s Law that the bus that did turn up was a single-decker and not usual double-decker so half of us had to wait for next one.
Usual grumbles but it gave me chance to talk to them and they all came across as really lovely guys. One guy insisted that when the bus turned up everybody stand aside to allow an elderly lady shopper to be first aboard; she was chuffed to bits with that gesture and started having a laugh and joke with them.
When the second bus turned up I climbed stairs to top deck only to discover that I was only FGR fan up there. The other guys I’m pretty sure formed Swindon’s singing section and for the entire bus trip they loudly, very loudly, sang all their tribal songs. And they were bloody good. So good that at one point I sang along with them: - “Fuck SKY TV”.
It didn’t take them long to suss out that I was FGR but by end of ride we had become friends and they told me to make sure I attend return fixture at County Ground. Which I certainly will.
They wished FGR well for rest of season, as I did for Swindon and we all agreed that it would be great for our two West Country teams to be promoted.

Genuine question:
Swindon are now in a place for promotion. The were Champions two years ago.
Has any team been Champions, relegated and Champions once again in successive seasons?

That happened to me, arrived at the ground fairly early, season ticket didn't scan at the turnstile...the steward in attendance told me that the system hadn't been activated, was happy for me to go into the ground but asked me to come back out later to scan my pass. I tried to do that about an hour before kick-off but got an error message, saying that the ticket had already been used...or something like that...same steward then let me back in the ground, only for me to be challenged by a senior steward. Explained to her what had happened and was told not to leave the ground again...thought of giving some wise-crack comment but decided against as I wanted to watch the game and not get chucked out.

Have to say it is the first time I have ever had an issue with ticketing although I am aware of others having issues in the past...the couple who sit behind me are season ticket holders, they turned up for one league game to find their seats had been sold to someone else!

I don't think so, not in this division. There have been a few promoted, relegated, promoted, but not as champions each time. Wimbledon had six seasons in 70s/80s in which they were promoted to D3, relegated to D4, promoted to D3, relegated to D4, promoted to D3 (champions), promoted to D2.
